Boy with Tulips

Hi, I've had a busy weekend! I went to a concert in the local park on Friday night. Latin Music, put on by our local council. My daughter and one of my friends, Fran and I sat and relaxed in the lovely evening breeze after a hot day and listened to the music. Saturday morning saw me up early making small cakes, 4 dozen, then to the shops to buy bits and pieces for the evening meal. Travelled about 45 mins down to a friend's place for a craft session and then back again at 6.30p.m to get the meal ready for some of my family who came to eat with us. Then I stayed up till after 12p.m. jellying the cakes. I crawled into bed and was then up again early to whip cream, split the cakes and fill them. The choir I'm in were catering for a concert as a fundraiser. I was out of the house by 9.25 a.m. to get to church and then back home by about 12 noon to pick up the cakes and take back into town to drop them off at the venue. Before I did that I picked up Fran, we delivered the cakes and then went off to a craft shop! So.... after all that, I managed to put this card together
I hope you all had a great weekend,
Thanks for popping in to view my cards,
Sandy

Get well Teddy

I stamped this bear yesterday and put the card together this morning. It is on a white base card, I've just used a postal pack behind it to define the edges of the card,
Thanks for looking,
Sandy

Three wise men

Hi, here is another one for my Christmas stash using a retired SU set, all the other components are from those crafting goodies I mentioned earlier that are lurking in cupboards and drawers! I've entered this into Shirley's Christmas Card Challenge
Thanks once more for popping in and looking at what I've made,

Teddy Bear with paper embroidery

Hi, I didn't manage to get a card completed today and I've had too many late nights which are starting to catch up with me, so.... I decided to share this card which has paper embroidery on it. This technique would be my favourite one but of course takes quite a bit more time than stamping a card. I've been doing it for at least 10 years and have lots of books/patterns that will keep me stitching for a long time. I've only been playing with stamps for about 3 years after saying I would never take it up as a craft. Oh boy, I have collected lots of stamps and am always seeing another set or single stamp that I would like!!
Hope you enjoy the card,
Thanks for stopping by.

Time for Cake

In between doing some more washing I had a play with a set of stamps that came with the do craft magazine. The cupcakes came from another little set on the same theme and I used the words and the flower that came with the free set. I based the card on a sketch card. Thanks also to Shirley for this lovely backing paper that she gifted me with at class today.
Hope you enjoy viewing,

Angel for Christmas

Hi again, I'm back on with one I've just finished for my Christmas Stash. I've actually embossed a couple of lines and the pearls sit between them. Sorry they don't show up on the scan.
Hope you all have had a great day!
I've entered this in Shirley's Christmas Card Challenge

Another Owl card

Well, I've had a busy day - housework, dishes @ laundry and then up to my daughter's to help her move furniture, unpack and find homes for things as they moved house on the weekend and I also babysat my youngest granddaughter, not quite 3 yet. I'm now home and my oldest daughter has cooked tea - pasta and it's got yucky mushrooms in it! Anyway, couldn't help myself. I've made another owl card.
Thanks for popping by to have a look,
Sandy

Surf's up

I've recently bought a few extra magnolia stamps on e-bay and this is one of them. I fiddled around several times today trying to find bits to put on the card (from my stash that has been hiding in the cupboard), the greeting was the hardest thing for me to decide on. I tried several different punched shapes but nothing worked so finally decided on cutting one by hand and using this large happy birthday stamp. I think it has turned out okay. I've used a pale yellow for the base card and again the scan is picking it up as white, it's nearly the same colour as the paper I used which shows up as yellow, strange!!! I've tried auto correct but that doesn't help, will have to learn how to use my new camera (xmas present) and also how to upload to the computer. LOL, I am just not very computer savvy.

Thinking of You

Hi all, was tired last night so didn't put this one up to share,
A very simple card showing off this lovely corner punch. I've got lots of corner punches and don't use them enough! I'm trying to use something each week that hasn't seen the light of day for a while! LOL Maybe you have things you have stashed away for a rainy day too. Will have to dig out some of my papers this week.

Leap for Joy!

Hi, wow, the pressure is on. Thanks to Doreen and Debra for popping in to look at my cards and for all the lovely compliments from everyone. Had a quick look at your beautiful cards Debra and will have a closer look over the weekend.
This stamp comes from a Penny Black clear set called "Toadily" - very cute - I coloured him with old olive and a bit of garden green? I stamped the image twice and cut the frog out as he is in front of the flower and adhered him over the 1st image and again included this lovely greeting from the Well Scripted set. The image was stamped on white and then mounted on yellow, it doesn't show well here, wonder if I can fix that?
Hope you enjoy viewing this little froggie!!
Shirley, thanks for putting a link on your blog,

Bee-utiful!

Hi, I've been wanting to use this little stamp I purchased about 4 weeks ago on something and my stamping mentor, Shirley showed our Tuesday group this little trick of stamping the image partially onto a cut out and then stamping again and cutting whole image and sitting over the top, doesn't this little bee look happy to be wishing someone special a happy birthday!I also distressed the edges of the green card a little before mounting it onto the white base card.

Yesterday's achievments!

Hi again, well I completed another two cards yesterday, I started the red and blue card last week and finished the topper and wasn't sure what to do with it so this is what I came up with. I've now christened the Well Scripted SU set of stamps I bought a few weeks ago. The second card has a Kasazz stamp that I purchased at least 5 years ago and probably have had this little image coloured and sitting around in a container for nearly as long. Finally found a spot for her with these die cut circles, a present from Shirley at

stamping class. I think the colours fitted in well with my little carrot top girl.
Hope you like,

A productive craft day!

Hello again, I actually made 2 cards today at this morning's craft group, usually I never complete a card during group time, so surprised myself. I should have decided where I was going to put this butterfly topper before stamping the greeting as it looks a bit off as It was straight when looking square on LOL but decided to give it a twist before adhering. Oh well, it's a learning curve!

Valentine card

My daughter asked me to make her a Valentine card and I saw this one shown on someone's blog so I had a go myself and added the extra touch of using a scalloped greeting . I also changed the way the branches sat as the original card I saw had them crossed. These owls are cute and take so little time to make. A worthwhile investment in this punch!

Made these yesterday

Hi all, saw this cute owl card on someone's blog, sorry can't remember whose, so thought I would give it a go, and the leafy card was made from the same sheet of paper and just stamped a sentiment which could be used for quite a few different occasions,
Hope to catch you again soon, Thanks for looking
