Vintage Bride

Hi everyone, it's been a lovely winter's day today with the sun shining. We did have some rain tonight and it's forecast for the next 7 days. I bought this stamp on e-bay recently and it is an unmounted one. It came with a sticky substance spread unevenly over the back and it wouldn't stamp properly - I decided to mount it on cling back foam and that didn't work, so pulled that off but it had made the back of the stamp horribly sticky and I couldn't use it, tried to get the glue off with several things but ended up with such a mess, I thought I would just have to throw the stamp away! Anyway put it back in the plastic it came in and left it for several days, well got it out today and had another look at it and gave it a prod with my finger and it looked like it would come off. It did, but I think maybe I've worn away my fingertips doing it. It's now back on the foam and has stamped reasonably well. So... here is what I did with it.
It's stamped in SU Basic Grey on SU Very Vanilla, I cut around the frame and mounted it onto another piece of the same colour to give it some depth and then again on another piece of Very Vanilla, which I stamped this small decorative spray in first and second generation images with Mellow Moss ink, The little stamp is from SU set "Easter Blossoms" and then everything was mounted on to a grey base card which I think links in quite well with the image. I made the flowers using my punches and put tiny pearls in the middle of them, I decided it didn't need a sentiment and will add something inside at a later date,
Well, thanks so much for stopping by and leaving me comments again, it is much appreciated and I love reading what you have to say.
I'm also adding this to Make It Monday Linky Party #44 starting July 4th
Take care,
Sandy
