Birds on a Branch

Hi everyone,
It's great to "see" you again. I would like to welcome some new followers, I hope you find something here to interest you. Tuesday is the day my friend Fran and I go to Shirley's for craft. We always enjoy the 3 cards she makes for us and our catch up for the week. Thanks for the yummy coffee too!!!  We stopped on our way home for a bite to eat and then I dropped Fran home so I could come and get a bit of housework done. I put a load of washing out but it didn't dry, just not enough heat in the sun so it went on the drying rack again. It seems to be up permanently at the moment.
Choir practise tonight went well although we had a man come in off the street and cause a bit of a ruckus. He ended up leaving but we weren't sure if he was under the influence of something or just had a mental illness. Luckily he left without any physical violence - he was just noisy and very vocal. I missed seeing him inside but he was on his way out when I got there and asked another woman for help so I stuck around and helped her just in case he did something. At that stage, we didn't know he had caused trouble inside. He just asked us for directions but I'm not sure that he really knew where he was or where he wanted to go as he was very vague about the street he wanted to find.
Anyway, I made a very quick card tonight with very minimal stamping and left the lovely paper to speak for itself.. I thought this would make a very pretty sympathy card - the colours are very subtle.
The cardbase is SU More Mustard and this gorgeous paper is froma mini stack by Prima called "Songbird collection" I thought it didn't need any embellishment. The sentiment on the front and on the inside are from a clear set called "Clearly Sentimental About Sympathy" by My Favourite Things. I used SU Pumpkin Pie to stamp the sentiments. The card on the inside is from stash and it is called Kula Cream.
Thanks for stopping by and I have enjoyed reading your comments too.
Take Care,
See you tomorrow.
Sandy

  1. Sandy, I think you are right....this would be perfect for a sympathy card, or a "thinking of you" card....such soft and pretty colours....very easy on the eye.
You must have one of "those" faces....haaaa!....I always seem to attract people who are in need of help, too! Poor man must have thought you looked like a kind soul...so sweet of you to be patient with him, too.
