Christmas through the Window

Another day just about finished. Again, the forecasted rain held off. I went out for lunch with my friend, Fran to look through the forms about the cruise. I had intended to go to another friends to meet the other girls from our Saturday craft group but my daughter rang me and let me know one of the dress shops we looked at last week re wedding outfits, was having a 50% off sale for today only. It was too good a chance to miss, so as my friend's house is about 40 mins or so in the other direction I knew I wouldn't be able to do both. The shop is about 30 mins in the opposite direction from my place. Fran came with me, (actually, LOL, we went in her car!) and the shop was packed. I found about 4 dresses to try on and joined the lengthy queue waiting to go into the change rooms. The one long dress I chose was lovely until I realised it was cut short at the front on an angle - looked terrible. Another one, a short dress I liked but the colour just didn't suit me and I bought the other two. Both purple outfits, my favourite colour!!! One is a lighter, bright purple with bling and a little jacket and the other is a darker shot silk purple also with a jacket, but I am thinking of getting another little jacket which will be sheer and much lighter. They are getting married in December, so it could be fairly warm weather.
I'm glad I went, I now have a choice of two dresses for the same price as what one would have cost. :)
We also dropped by a craft shop and picked up some cheap bits and pieces that were on sale.
Our oldest son was here when I came home, and he stayed and had a meal with us.
Anyway, better get on and share my card for today.
I've used SU Real Red for the basecard. The DP is from a mini paper pad called Belle Collection from Kaisercraft.. I stamped the window image ( from retired SU set called "Window Dressing") using Cherry Cobbler ink I cut the windows out and then adhered it to the DP and recut the windows before adhering to the card and cutting again. I wasn't sure how easy it would be to cut through all three thicknesses at once.
The sentiment is from SU set called Four the Holidays. On the inside I stamped the winter scene which comes from SU "A Wish for Peace". I stamped it again and trimmed to use as a mask and then sponged some Tim Holtz Distress ink around the top.
I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
Christmas Card Challenges - week #26 Bling - must be Christmas (challenge optional - mine has no bling)
ABC Christmas Challenge - K is for Keep it Simple

Thanks to all who stopped by today, hope you are enjoying your weekend.
Take Care,
