A Hedgie Christmas

It's been a strange day weather wise! It rained heavily overnight and then some heavy showers again today but with clear dry spells as well and now its back to rain with the addition of thunder and lightning.
I babysat the youngest two grandchildren today while our DIL worked. Isaac was very good and went off for a sleep quite well. He had a bit of a grizzle for a couple of minutes but I lay down on the bed with him and gave him a bit of a snuggle and a pat on the back and he was off with the fairies. He slept about 1 1/2 hours and woke up about 15 mins before his Mum arrived.
It gave me a bit of time to do some commenting on some blogs and playing with Layla too.
We had a couple of extra for tea tonight and I made caramel dumplings for dessert. It is so sweet!! The kids always begged me to make it and then they would eat too much and feel sick. They still ask for it as grown-ups. Our youngest son phoned his brother and he and his wife came over so they could eat dessert, LOL. They were quite happy to come out in the rain so they could consume some of the dumplings!!!
After everyone left, and hubby took himself off to bed, I sat down at the table and made this card. I started it a couple of days ago but wasn't quite sure what I was going to do. I'd stamped the image on the bauble diecut and coloured it and that was as far as I had got.
So here is the completed card.

Here is what I used.
Basecard: SU Real Red cardstock
DP from Kaisercraft 6" paper pad Belle Collection
Spellbinders Label Four - cut two in Real Red and two smaller ones in White.
Cuttlebug Tagalicious - edged sponged with SU Real Red ink
Red ribbon from stash
Image - Penny Black Xmas Kiss
Copic Markers and SU Basic Black ink (I used a blender pen too)
I stamped this little holly a while ago, I think it was from a freebie stamp set.
I used Jelly Roll Pens on the berries.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge - CHNC  challenge 76 ~ Feature a Creature
Wishcraft -Waste Not Wednesdays -  Week 22 (I used the tag die, I'd forgotten I had it!!!)

Thanks for stopping by and I appreciated the comments that were left for me to read as well.
Take Care,
Sandy

  5. Cute card, Sandy. I love those little hedgehogs and real ones too. We had to rescue one last summer as it was walking down the middle of the road! would have loved to have kept it but our garden isn't animal friendly being mostly gravel

Dessert sounds good, is there any left? lol
