Winter Penguin Star - MIM #115

Good Morning! Hope your weekend was a good one and your feeling ready for the coming week. Today sees the start of another wonderful Linky Party over at Make It Monday.. We had lots of creative entries last week and I would like to congratulate Mapowska on being our featured crafter  and congrats also to Elizabeth on being the winning commenter. Hope you enjoy your prize.
The DT were privileged  to play with some fab images from this weeks sponsor ~ Bugaboo Stamps
The image I've used is Winter Penguin Star
Here is what I made..... I wasn't quite happy with my colouring on this one. I was thinking of just going back over it with the black. (hmmm..... may still do that, LOL)

Recipe:
SU Tempting Turquoise cardstock for the cardbase
Gold Textured cardstock from my stash
DP is from Kaisercraft  6x6 Paper Pad ~ Christmas Carnival Collection
Digi Image from Bugaboo Stamps -  Winter Penguin Star
Sentiment from SU - More Merry Messages
SU Night of Navy inkpad
Nestie Die - Stars
Nellie Snellen Die
Copic Markers
Foam Dots

I am entering this into the following challenges:
Lady Anne's Challenges - Anything Goes
The Crafty Bloggers Network - Christmas Anything Goes
Crafty Cardmakers - Challenge 79 ~ More than one punch and/or diecut (I've used two different dies)

As promised, I've added my granddaughter Layla's Christmas card using the same image. Didn't she do a fantastic job of the colouring. She is only 4 years old and normally has trouble staying in the lines. You can look at my previous post to see how focused she was on her colouring.

We are very excited to have again our fun sponsors Bugaboo Stamps!  Everyone loves these fun and sweet digis!

Everything That You Ever Wanted to Know About Bugaboo Stamps: A Short Essay
As if raising five children in the frozen land of the North was not enough of a challenge, Jodie Mackrell decided to dip her cold little Canadian toes into the world of papercrafting by opening an online store full of her illustrations. That was two years ago. Today Bugaboo Stamps is one of the leading companies in digital images, and we're still growing!  From seriously snarky to sugary sweet to sublimely soulful all the way over to the other side of the super sexy spectrum, you're bound to find all that you need and more to create your paper projects.  Jodie works very hard to provide New Releases and Freebies every week!

If your taste runs to rubber (and you know who you are), you can find Bugaboo Stamps   atTotally Stampalicious. And finally, join the Bugaboo Stamps DT   for weekly challenges at Catch the Bug

Bugaboo Stamps are offering a very generous prize of winner's choice of 7 single digis!

I've again chosen  two POTW this time around (both Christmas related). You are all making it so hard to pick just one. There are many more that I would love to feature too - so please take the time to check out some of the other entries during the week.
My first  POTW  is this lovely Christmas card by Sandie and you can pop over to her blog and see what she used to make it

My second POTW is made by Cheryl at She Stamps - Doesn't this make a festive look to her bottle of wine.

Time for the next round of fantastic entries. I'm looking forward to visiting some of you and seeing your wonderful works of art. The festive season is now kicking in with more and more things in the shop everyday and with our Chrismas Pageant having been on Saturday, Christmas Fever will have started in earnest.
I'm sure there will be more and more Christmas related entries coming up, so check them out and get inspired.

Take Care,
Sandy

  3. Of all the inflatables we put out each year in our yard, my favorite is the penguin that pops out and goes back into a present. I could sit outside and freeze for hours just saying, "OOOHHHH, here he comes again!" LOL. As soon as I saw your card, it was the first thing that crossed my mind and now I can't wait to decorate outside. I think your penguin looks ADORABLE Sandy. :)
Thank you for the smiles from your card and your POTW...that's a VERY crafty and cool idea and looks wonderful. :)
    hugs,
    Lisa xx
