MIM#168 Building a Snowman with CC Designs

Hi everyone, I hope you had a good weekend. My hubby and I had an all expenses paid trip to Sydney for two days to see our son graduate last Thursday night. We stayed out at an hotel at Olympic Park, which was built for the last Olympics that were held in Australia. We didn't have much time, and we were about 40 mins out from the city centre, so we didn't get to do any sightseeing. The graduation dinner/ceremony was held in a venue at Lunar Park (an amusement park which is near the base of the Sydney Harbour Bridge) in the city centre, so we did see the harbour and the bridge etc.We arrived mid afternoon Thursday and had about an hour to relax before getting ready to be picked up and taken to the ceremony/dinner. It was a formal event, so I got to wear my dress that I bought for our son's wedding back in April.  On Friday, they picked us up and took us for a tour of the training centre, provided us lunch and then drove us off to the Airport to catch our flights to all the various places that the apprentices live throughout Australia. On Saturday, I went into my craft room and must have knocked a piece of clear packaging onto the floor. I was using my Cuttlebug and was hurrying to finish a card, I turned around to walk out of the room and my foot slipped on the plastic and sent me into the splits. (I don't think I have ever done the full splits in my whole life and at my age it is very painful!!! LOL)  I dragged my other leg forward and just sat there on the floor for about 10 mins before attempting to get up,. Hubby and also our youngest son had already gone out and I was expecting the 3 grandchildren as they were coming to stay overnight. Needless to say, it has been a hard weekend, not much sleep ( 3 kids sleeping in the bed with me too) I'm still sore, but starting to feel a bit more movement without as much pain!
Now onto the purpose of my post and that is to share my DT card for Make It Monday, we would love you to join us at our Linky Party. This week the DT team had just one image to play with, so check out the rest of the team and see what they did with it. Our sponsor this time around is C.C. Designs rubber stamps and dies

$15 Gift Certificate

Here is the fun part of my post. Time for POTW from last week's entries. So many wonderful cards that I wish I could feature them all!!!
This first one comes from Leslie from Love to Scrap and you can find it here
A fun male card, great image and layout.

My second choice is this lovely card from Caroline at KISS - Keep it Sweet and Simple and you can check it out here. Just a simple wreath dressed up with glamour dust and a gorgeous bow and bells. Although she has done a lot of fussy cutting so it would have taken her a while to complete!

Well, that's it once again from me. Time for you all to get busy with creating. We would love to see your wonderful entries this week and with Christmas looming closer each day I'm sure that there will be lots of wonderful inspiration to be seen. Please stop by all the DT blogs and check out all the wonderful creations and don't forget to be in the running for this week's prize all you have to do is check out some of the entries and leave some comments, mentioning that you saw them on Make It Monday this week.
Have fun!!!!
Thanks for stopping by,
Take Care,
Hugs,
Sandy
