Challenge # 9 Noel Angel

Hi, I'm finally back! We arrived home yesterday afternoon. We took two days to get to our friend's house, travelling about 13 hours the first day which caused an argument with hubby. I was so tired and ended up with a very sore neck too. Hubby likes to camp rough and not keen on spending lots of money on accommodation so we took our small tent topper for the trailer. It is basically just a bed. You can't stand up in it, only enough room to change and sleep!!! So our first night was a road off the highway parked under a tree. No toilet or shower and no safety with other people around. I was not impressed. I didn't sleep much. The next day wasn't much better. We backtracked a little bit to call in on another friend at 7:20 a.m. in the morning as she was due to leave home at 7:30 to head out for work. A very quick catch up, but she was pleased to see us. It then took us to about 5 p.m. to reach our final destination. So we were both tired and a bit grumpy too. We ended up having a wonderful relaxing time with our friend. He is a minister and we did some touring around and then went to all of his Easter Services that were held at his church. We left there on Tuesday and took four days to get back home. We came home a different way. Still some long days (we spent half a day at a place called Scenic World and rode the Sky Way, Cable Way and Railway rides in the Blue Mountains) a night in a youth hostel, one camped in a country town behind a local hotel (with the owner's permission) and stayed  last night at our little cottage (hubby grew up here in a small farming community) in a small country town about 1 1/2 to 2 hours from home so hubby could attend the local Dawn Service for Anzac Day.
Well that brings me to this week's challenge at Completely Christmas where you can join the fun with anything Christmas, a card, scrapbook page or a Christmas Decoration.  Our sponsor this week is Sparkle n Sprinkle and I was so lucky to be able to use this gorgeous image called Noel Angel. I chose greys and pale blues to colour the angel and then gave her a dark hair colour and used a darker green for the leaves after keeping the flowers in the pale blue tones. I chose grey and white for my card and DP and that makes the angel "pop". It's a wonderful image.
Here is the card........ Unfortunately I had to take the photo quite late at night (in the early hours of the morning, lol) as I've been rushing to get several DT cards made to cover the weeks I am away. It's not as good as I would like but hopefully it still shows off this wonderful image. I took this photo before I went away and scheduled my post but I've edited it now because we got home in time to do so.

Well, I really must get off to bed before it is time to get up again. Have been suffering on and off with a tooth for the last month, but today it has decided to go full throttle on me so I know I will be in for a rough night. The Panadol tablets are really not having much effect at all so will be going out in the morning to get something a bit stronger to see me through until I can get an appointment at the dentist.
Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to pop in and leave us one of your wonderful creations in this week's challenge at Completely Christmas.
Take Care,
Hugs,
Sandy

Challenge #66 at 613 Avenue Create

Oops, have been so busy lately with a new grand baby and a dinner out last night (had to cook dessert to take) and a 60th birthday luncheon today after church, that I completely forgot to put my DT card in for 613 Avenue Create. I've got the sniffles as well, probably rushing around and then being out in the cold air last night. I did have it all made but because I forgot to photograph it, well.... it didn't get put in but I'm here posting it and encouraging you to enter the challenge this week. As usual it is Anything goes with an optional twist. This week's twist is - Sights, Sounds, Smells or Tastes of Spring. The image I chose suits several of the twist's words. I'm not bothering with tea tonight, still so full from our smorgasbord luncheon. Hubby and son have gone to our daughter and son-in-laws house to see them and the baby. Thought since I have the sniffles, that I had better stay away as I don't want to pass it on to any of them. Feeling a bit blue here on my own, lol.  Coffee time!!!
So......hope to see you popping into the neighbourhood this week with an entry. The DT are looking forward to visiting your blogs and leaving you a comment. We would love it if you popped into the DT blogs too.

Challenge # 6 at Completely Christmas

Hi, it's been a while since I put fingers to keys! Haven't done any cards for myself lately except for the ones I do with Shirley on Tuesdays. I did get a box card started for my Wednesday class, but we didn't finish because someone asked halfway through the lesson if they could make it too and I had to start from scratch for her with the instructions.
Anyway, today starts challenge # 6 at Completely Christmas Challenge Blog and as usual it is an Anything Goes Challenge, so anything Christmas is accepted.
Our sponsor this week is the ever wonderful Bugaboo and the prize is 7 free digis, so let's see your entries!!!
I chose this cute Christmas turtle to play with and enjoyed colouring him up.
Here is my card......
