Challenge # 9 Noel Angel

Hi, I'm finally back! We arrived home yesterday afternoon. We took two days to get to our friend's house, travelling about 13 hours the first day which caused an argument with hubby. I was so tired and ended up with a very sore neck too. Hubby likes to camp rough and not keen on spending lots of money on accommodation so we took our small tent topper for the trailer. It is basically just a bed. You can't stand up in it, only enough room to change and sleep!!! So our first night was a road off the highway parked under a tree. No toilet or shower and no safety with other people around. I was not impressed. I didn't sleep much. The next day wasn't much better. We backtracked a little bit to call in on another friend at 7:20 a.m. in the morning as she was due to leave home at 7:30 to head out for work. A very quick catch up, but she was pleased to see us. It then took us to about 5 p.m. to reach our final destination. So we were both tired and a bit grumpy too. We ended up having a wonderful relaxing time with our friend. He is a minister and we did some touring around and then went to all of his Easter Services that were held at his church. We left there on Tuesday and took four days to get back home. We came home a different way. Still some long days (we spent half a day at a place called Scenic World and rode the Sky Way, Cable Way and Railway rides in the Blue Mountains) a night in a youth hostel, one camped in a country town behind a local hotel (with the owner's permission) and stayed  last night at our little cottage (hubby grew up here in a small farming community) in a small country town about 1 1/2 to 2 hours from home so hubby could attend the local Dawn Service for Anzac Day.
Well that brings me to this week's challenge at Completely Christmas where you can join the fun with anything Christmas, a card, scrapbook page or a Christmas Decoration.  Our sponsor this week is Sparkle n Sprinkle and I was so lucky to be able to use this gorgeous image called Noel Angel. I chose greys and pale blues to colour the angel and then gave her a dark hair colour and used a darker green for the leaves after keeping the flowers in the pale blue tones. I chose grey and white for my card and DP and that makes the angel "pop". It's a wonderful image.
Here is the card........ Unfortunately I had to take the photo quite late at night (in the early hours of the morning, lol) as I've been rushing to get several DT cards made to cover the weeks I am away. It's not as good as I would like but hopefully it still shows off this wonderful image. I took this photo before I went away and scheduled my post but I've edited it now because we got home in time to do so.

Well, I really must get off to bed before it is time to get up again. Have been suffering on and off with a tooth for the last month, but today it has decided to go full throttle on me so I know I will be in for a rough night. The Panadol tablets are really not having much effect at all so will be going out in the morning to get something a bit stronger to see me through until I can get an appointment at the dentist.
Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to pop in and leave us one of your wonderful creations in this week's challenge at Completely Christmas.
Take Care,
Hugs,
Sandy
