A fun card for a 60th

Hello everyone, did you have a great weekend? I commenced mine early Saturday morning by going to a fitness session. I'm once again doing an 8 week challenge, but this time our son isn't living at home, so I am on my own food wise. Hubby will eat most things so hopefully he will be happy with whatever food he gets. We had to do weigh in and measurements and then do set exercises to see how many we could do in a certain time allotment. Then we are on our own food and exercise wise during the week (some suggestions food wise and lots of set exercises! - I'm going to have to google the different dumbell ones as I can't remember the actions.) In 4 weeks time she does another lot of testing to see how we are going and then the final testing 4 weeks after that. She has an incentive prize of $100 free personal training sessions. I don't think I will be in the running for that as there are several people who are already reasonably fit and active and motivated, lol.
My friend turned the big 60 this past week and had her party on Saturday (also my wedding anniversary). It was a lovely night. The weather was just right - they had forecast rain earlier in the week and luckily it had continued to be fine which is a bit unusual for our Autumn weather. Luckily my challenge starts today or I would have had to not eat any of the lovely supper that she and her family arranged.
I made her a card using an image of some older women riding in a Volkswagen beetle. Fran has just recently acquired one of these and her hubby has been getting it up to scratch for her. It is now roadworthy and passed its inspections and registered to be driven on the road.
Here's the card.....

Recipe:
Blue card from stash
White card from Quill
SU Crumb Cake cardstock
Black cardstock
DP from Sugar & Spice Studio - Outdoor Adventure 12x 12 paper pad
Image is one a friend stamped off for me - I think it is Arty Impressions
Sentiment was an internet find
Sizzix alphabet die for the number 60
Copic markers
D/S tape roller
Foam Dots

I cut a piece of DP and added a piece of the crumb cake cardstock to make the background and then cut out 3 trees from another piece of DP and added them in a descending line to create the side of the road. The roadway is a piece of black cardstock with a white line made using a gel pen. I created a stop sign using circle punches and added some die cut numbers. Added the image coming down the road and the sentiment and viola it was finished!!!
I thought the sentiment very appropriate for my friend as her VW is a convertible and also once she stripped off her top and drove home from work in her bra!!!(because it had shaving cream all over it from a prank her and a few friends played on someone who was getting married.) I think the only person that noticed was the bus driver who pulled up next to her when she had to stop at a red light, lol. Luckily she only lives about 5 min drive from her old workplace.
I have Isaac to babysit today so better go and check on him. He is in a movie watching mood and has Monsters Inc on. I also have to get a load of work clothes  washed and dried. Hubby will be away for a couple of days on a work trip and it's not a good day weather wise, we've already had some rain!!!
Thanks for stopping by,
Take Care,
Hugs,
Sandy
