Challenge # 80 - The Happy Christmas Couple dance up a storm

Hi everyone, sorry I'm late with my post, but have come down with the cold lurgy after avoiding it for weeks. I've had grandchildren and our own children breathing over me for a couple of weeks now and thought I was going to get away without coming down with it. I felt a bit off on the way home from our daughter's after babysitting our 4 month old granddaughter. So hopefully she doesn't get it from me. I was fine in the morning so it has come on quickly. I suppose it didn't help much that we went to an outdoor 21st party last night and according to the weather forecast it was the coldest night we've had. It went down to only 2 degrees which is very cold for us here in Adelaide.
Anyway I was languishing on the lounge in the family room with the blanket on and the fire going and realised I hadn't scheduled a post so have had to wrap up in a big scarf and a blanket because it is freezing in here!!!
This week at 613 Avenue Create our challenge is Anything Goes as usual and the optional twist is to make a shaped card. I decided to go with a Christmas in July theme and made a lovely card and then realised I had forgotten to do the twist and had to make another one. Oh well, I've added two cards to my Christmas stash instead of only one....... bonus!!!
Our sponsor this week is Rick St. dennis and I chose this fab image of the famous couple to play with.
I decided to make my card look like part of a house - so I've got the top half of the walls, the roof and the all important part for Father Christmas, the chimney. I found this great paper to make my chimney with and I stuck it on and then cut out each individual brick and stuck over the corresponding one on my paper so it has a raised effect. Lovely tactile feel to it.
Here is the pic........

 Recipe:
SU Real Red Cardstock
SU Very Vanilla Cardstock
DP is from Kaisercraft 61/2x61/2 paper pad Base Coat. Both the roof tiles and brick paper were in this pack.
Image is from Rick St. dennis - Christmas Couple
Sentiment was an internet find - a freebie site I think
Copic Markers
Puff 3-D paint - I used this on Father Christmas's outfit.
D/S tape
Foam Dots
Bling from Kaisercraft

Well, that's it from me. I think I need to head back to the fire and maybe a hot drink. We would love to have you visit the neighbourhood this week and add one of your creations. You could be the winner of the fab prize from Rick St. dennis or be picked as one of the top three. The DT would also be happy to see you visiting our blogs and maybe leaving a comment too.
Have a good week and stay healthy, lol.
Thanks for stopping by,
Take Care,
Hugs,
Sandy
