Winter and Summer in one Post

Hi everyone, welcome to my blog. I am feeling marginally better about my teeth. After a long session in the dentist's chair I now have half of my crown back on permanently and the other two teeth have a plastic crown on while I'm waiting for a new one to be made. I had a 3 p.m. appointment and my mouth is still sore and a bit swollen. I'm not allowed to bite with my front teeth so still eating small pieces of food with my side teeth. Oh the joys of teeth problems, lol. Looking forward to Friday when hopefully all will be fixed!
Anyway, I'm here to let you know there is a new challenge starting today at Crafting From the Heart. We had a huge amount of entries last challenge and congrats to the winners and the DT favourites. I hope you will take the plunge and join in the fun of this week's challenge. It's an Anything Goes challenge so that won't be hard to create for.

Well that's it from me, hubby has come home from his jaunt outback to Alice Springs, He left last Wednesday - it takes about two days to get there and that is travelling long days and lots of kilometers. He went to a Vintage and Veteran Truck show, I stayed home because of having to go to the dentist and also babysitting, choir and craft teaching commitment. Lucky me. He doesn't mind sleeping in the back of the 4wd and really roughing it and I like the security of a caravan park or hotel, so just as well I stayed here, lol.
Before I go let me encourage you to come and join in the challenge and also to visit my fellow teamies and leave some blog love.
Thanks for stopping by,

Fall Fun with Aud Sentiments Challenge blog

My second post for today, please scroll down and check out my previous card. I have been having issues with my crown which goes across my top 4 teeth. It came loose after being there for 6 years and now I am having to wait to sort it out over 3 weeks. He did some work on it Monday and put it back on with temporary glue. I had a 2 1/2 hour singing rehearsal that night and it didn't feel right, another rehearsal Tuesday night and by Wednesday I could feel it slipping in my mouth. Aagh, have been out to the pictures today instead of having our regular craft afternoon and it is completely moving around and I am constantly pushing it back into place. I have to wait till next Monday for some further work on it so I am crossing my fingers it doesn't fall off altogether over the weekend or I'll have to hold my hand over my mouth when I speak etc. Might have to stay housebound, lol. It's not a pretty look as it took some of my original teeth with it when it came off..... Anyway, back to sharing my card for the new challenge at Aud Sentiment Challenge this fortnight, at least I can craft without teeth!!!!
The theme is Fall Fun + a sentiment and our sponsor is  - The Paper Shelter. I used this wonderful image which comes with a background for putting inside your card or using on the front, some pre-coloured images and also some line images to colour yourself. I used a pre-coloured one.
Here is what I come up with using one of the images they provided. Mine looks different in colour from some of the other DT cards and I think that just comes down to the different printers that my fellow teamies and I have used. Mine is not quite so vibrant which was a bit disappointing.

I've printed the pre-coloured image out 4 times and made it into a 3d picture.

Recipe:
SU Pumpkin Pie cardstock
SU Baked Brown Sugar cardstock
DP from Cre8tiv 6x6 mini paper stack
Image from The Paper Shelter
Sentiment is a freebie on the challenge blog from our own Ginny H
Die - Marianne Die - LRD242
Bling from Pastime crafts

Foam Dots

I am entering my card into the following challenge:
Crafting With An Attitude - Challenge 6 ~ Anything Goes
Creative Knockouts - Challenge #104 ~ Anything Goes
Simon Says Stamp - Wednesday Challenge ~ Anything Goes

Before I go off and get a coffee let me encourage you to pop over to check out all the lovely DT work and to enter the challenge this fortnight. Don't forget to pop in next Thursday to see the next round of fabulous inspiration from the rest of my teamies.

Challenge #138 at 613 Avenue Create

Hi everyone, it's been a lovely day so far, threw a couple of loads of washing on the line, went to church ( didn't sing in the choir today as I'm still coughing), back home and had toasted cheese sandwiches and I'm off soon to go with a friend to Copic Club at our local craft store. It's really just a get together with other copic users, the lady that runs it draws us a couple of images and helps us with any queries and tips. I thought I had better type this up and schedule because I may still be at class when it needs to be posted. Well, our challenge this week at 613 Avenue Create  is Anything Goes with the optional twist of Girl's Night Out. Make something that goes with your ideas of a Girl's night out!!!
Our sponsor is Bugaboo Stamps, we did have another sponsor but there was a bit of a mix up with images so I have used one of my own stamps and gone with the Anything Goes Theme.
Here is my card.......

I've paper pieced the hat, flower, dress and handbag.

A sleeping baby Challenge 73 at Crafting From the Heart

Good afternoon, another cool, drizzly day today after yesterday's sunshine. The only real day of sunshine for quite a while and would have been perfect to catch up on some washing but no......we had the power out all day due to the overhead wires on the main road being put underground instead. We've had months of road work in the lead up to this event and I've had enough. Our road has been closed off at the top end more often than it's been open so let's hope this in the end of it!!! Ok enough moaning and I will get on and share my DT make for Crafting From The Heart Challenges. Our sponsor this week is QKR Stampede and I got to use this sweet image
Here is my card.....

Time once more to say goodbye, I have our 3 oldest grandchildren here, all home from school with colds as Mum and Dad(who is also sick) are working. I had the youngest granddaughter staying overnight last night and also all day today and she is grumpy, so 4 to watch over and I'm still coughing  although I am pretty much over the bug I had. Halle is sitting in the high chair next to me as I just can't type with her grizzling on my knee, so, lol, I am plying her with small gingerbread people while I get on with this!!!
My fellow teamies and I would love to see what you come up with this week, so please pop into the challenge blog and use Mr. Linky.

Challenge 5 at Crafty Girlz Challenges

Good evening and welcome to my blog today. Another long day with an early start being up at 6a.m. We drove to our daughter's house to pick her and our little granddaughter up and then drove down south for about 1 1/2 hours to go to an auction and visit friends. It drizzled rain on and off which wasn't great as it is an outside event, Rachel bought a few bits and pieces, enough to fill the trailer and then we went back for lunch with our friends. We spent a pleasant afternoon with them and have just arrived home, unpacked the trailer and as soon as I've typed and posted this I came make tea and relax. I had a late night too yesterday so maybe an earlier than usual evening for me or just a veg out in front of the tv.
Well, I will get on and share the details of our new challenge starting today at Crafty Girlz Challenges. The theme is Anything Goes or you can play the twist of Lazy Days. Our sponsor this month is Deedee's Digis and I used a precoloured image for my card.

Challenge #21 A Monochramtic theme using Pink

Hi all, a quick post, still sick and hacking away. Isaac came today for me to look after but our son is sick too so he went home early from work and our DIL came after to work to pick him up. He is no problem at all to look after so me being unwell didn't really alter things.
There;s a new challenge starting today at Get Creative Challenges. Last week was the Purple team and they did a monochromatic theme using purple but this week it's our turn, lol. We are the Pink team so therefore the theme is Monochromatic using PINK.......I think I am on the wrong team since my favourite colour is Purple, lol.
Our sponsor is QKR Stampede and I chose these shoes to colour.
Here is my card.......

I decided on a circular card....

Recipe:
Pink cardstock from stash for the basecard
SU Pink Pirhouette cardstock for the matte and tag
DP from stash
Image from QKR Stampede - Sneakers
Sentiment from Paper Smooches set - Sentiment sampler
SU pink inkpad
Pink bling from stash
Pink organza ribbon from stash

Well, I still have to feed the hubby so gotta go and sort something out. Last night he went up to the chicken shop and bought a schnitzel hotpack for us to share. He bought a beef one and it was terrible, but at least the thought was there. I didn't eat much of it.
Before I leave I'd like to encourage you to pop over to the challenge blog and check out the DT makes and hopefully get inspired and pop in during the week with an entry of your own. We'd love to see your creations.
Time to go,
Thanks for stopping by,

Challenge #136 at 613 Avenue Create

Hi all, sorry I'm late posting, but I come down with the lurgy that my hubby has. He's had a couple over the last few months and I hadn't succumbed, but this one is just that much more contagious. So after celebrating our son's 30th birthday with an 80's themed party last night I could feel my throat starting to feel sore. Our youngest daughter and partner are moving so I offered to take little Halle home with us last night so she could have an uninterrupted day of packing today but I haven't felt well at all. Massive headache and feel chilled. Halle has just been picked up about 30 mins ago and I thought I had better do this before heading back to bed for some more rest. The new challenge starting today at 613 Avenue Create has a twist of using Black, White and your favourite colour. If you visit my blog often, you'll know my favourite colour is Purple. I've used several shades on the carousel horse but the light one doesn't show very well in the photo. Our sponsors are Doodle Pantry and  Stamplorations.
My step - card was made using a Doodle Pantry digital image and sentiment.
Here it is........
Recipe:
SU Concord Crush cardstock for the basecard, punched scallop circle and diecut
