Challenge # 78 ~ Two DT cards for 613 Avenue Create

Wow, it's the last weekend in June! Six months till Christmas and 3 more months till the birth of our next grandchild (a little girl).
I've been out singing today, first at church in the morning and then again in the afternoon at a Progressive music afternoon. People came along to several churches in the one street in town and the choirs from each church sung several songs and there was an afternoon tea at the last one on the list.
This week at 613 Avenue Create, it is Anything Goes as usual and we don't have the optional twist. We hope to see lots of wonderful creations from you all  We have several sponsors this week ~ Limited Runs, Dr. Digi's House of Stamps and Fitztown. I got to choose two sponsors to represent.
I was lucky to receive this wonderful Dr Digi's House of Stamps image called Captain Thunderpants.
Here is what I did with it.......

SU Real Red cardstock
White cardstock from stash
DP is from Pebbles - Party with Amy Locurto ~ BOY

The second image I was able to use was this lovely image from Fitztown called Fae2

Here is what I made, sorry it's a dreary day here and I took several photos and even scanned it but just couldn't get a true enough picture.
This one was done with the camera in the i-pad.......

Here is a close up of the image done on the scanner.......... the DP is actually a pale green but doesn't show up well in either picture. The image circle is white as is the sentiment circle.

Challenge #18 Christmas with Sparkle N Sprinkle

Welcome to my blog, it was horrid weather yesterday, very windy and heavy rain. Apparently there was a lot of damage in the Adelaide Hills due to the high wind. A friend and I were out at Shirley's house where we had a Close to my Heart party and made some cards and checked out the catalogue for a few stamps. It was a good afternoon. I had been out in the morning to an exercise physiology clinic to check out some more exercise to help with my diabetes management. I have a few free sessions through a government programme to try and get people with major health issues fitter and healthier so in the long run there will be less drain on the health system. I just had a consultation and next week I actually do some of the exercise regime. It's hard finding the time to fit it in when I'm not babysitting or doing craft sessions etc.
It's Saturday, so that means a new challenge is starting at Completely Christmas - the theme is Anything Goes and as long as it is a Christmas project we don't mind what you make.
Our sponsor this week is Sparkle N Sprinkle and I chose this lovely poinsettia to use as an embellishment to my vintage Christmas image that was a freebie on the net.
Digi images are so versatile, don't forget that you can resize them and use them as embellishments too. That's how I have used this lovely poinsettia digi image.
Here is my card......

Recipe:
Dark Green cardstock from stash (had this a long time and it is a great green for Christmas) - it looks a bit black here but it's not quite that dark.
White cardstock
Images - Poinsettia from Sparkle N Sprinkle
           - Vintage couple was a freebie on the net
Embossing Folder -
Copic Markers
D/S tape Roller
Foam Dots
Tiny red bling for the centre of the poinsettia from Do Craft

Time for me to get some jobs done around the house, it's been hard getting washing dried at the moment. The dryer isn't working so I've put a couple of drying racks up in the lounge room and they take a couple of days to dry like that depending what it is.
Thanks for stopping by, hope to see you on the challenge blog.
Take Care and enjoy your weekend.
Hugs,
Sandy

Challenge 21.... A Get Well Card with Sassy Studios

Hi everyone, it is another cold day here in Adelaide, no rain yet but the sky has been threatening all day. I didn't feel 100% this morning but still went off to my PT session. She was kind on me and let me lie down on the bench press and do weights that way instead of getting up and down for the half hour. We did interval training and various weights - still came away with a headache, but I took a couple of tablets when I got home and it has settled down for which I am grateful.
Today brings a new challenge at Crafty Girls Challenges Blog and I do hope you will find time to link up one of your creations. We had 352 entries for the challenge that has just finished. If you get time to do some blog hopping, there were lots of fabulous cards to check out!!!
Our sponsor for this challenge is Sassy Studio Designs and I got to design my card using this fabulous image.
Here's my card.......

Recipe:
SU Tempting Turquoise cardstock for the square basecard and diecut and punched tag
Purple cardstock from stash (had this quite a while now, lol, and slowly getting through the pack of 100 sheets)
Textured White Linen cardstock from Quill for the image and sentiment
DP is from Merci 6x6 mini stack (also a long time stash item!)
Image is Get Well Sassy from Sassy Studio Designs
Sentiment is from SU - Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Nestie Die - Adorning Squares
Punches - SU Word Window and complimentary tag punch (can't remember the name of this one)
Copic Markers
Memento Black Inkpad
D/S tape roller
Foam Dots

I'm off to do a bit more colouring as I have another couple of cards to finish off before the weekend and I have a busy day tomorrow so need to fit it in sometime today or tomorrow night. Hope your day has been a good one. Don't forget to pop over to the challenge blog and enter the challenge. We would love to see you there.

Challenge # 17 Holly Girl - Completely Christmas

Hi all, I hope you are enjoying your weekend and managing to do a bit of fun stuff for you and your family. Maybe catch up with rellies or friends or go on an outing or get time to play with your craft stash or maybe even get out to the craft shop for something to add to your stash, lol.
I started off this morning with a weigh-in and exercise as it is mid way through the 8 week challenge I am doing. I managed to lose weight and gain muscle at the same time so I'm happy with that.
I called in to see our daughter and we headed out to the shops for a few things, lunch and coffee. We ran into our youngest son and his wife and stopped for a chat with them before I dropped Rachel home and headed back here. I realised I forgot to schedule my post, so here I am furiously typing away to catch up!
This week at Completely Christmas we start a new challenge and as usual, it is anything Christmas goes, be it a card, a layout or a decoration.
Our sponsor is Stitchy Bear Stamps and I chose this sweet image called Holly Girl to use on my card.
Here is the pic......

Recipe:
SU Real Red cardstock for base card, die and matte
White cardstock from stash for the image and die cuts
DP is from Hot Off the Press - Forever Christmas Cards Paper Stack (the music one)
and the holly one is from - First Edition Paper - Christmas Village 12x12 paper pad
Image is Holly Girl from Stitchy Bear Stamps
Sentiment is from SU - Come to Bethlehem - the stamp is in one line, but I split it up so it would fit.
Nestie - Octagon die
          - Floral Doily Motifs
Bling from Do Craft
Pearls from SU
Copic Markers
D/S tape roller
Foam Dots

Well, hubby has been working all day and just walked in and now number 2 son has dropped in as well. Coffee time I think.
We would love to see your Christmas creations, we are half way through the year so if you haven't made any cards for your stash now would be a good time to start. Less pressure later on, lol.
Thanks for stopping by and I would love to hear from you,
Take Care,
Hugs,
Sandy

Challenge #16 at Completely Christmas

Hi, I'm in a rush - off to craft at a friend's house and running late and it takes me at more than 30 mins to get there and I've realised I didn't schedule at post so now I'm quickly typing away!
It's our mid month challenge which means that we have a sketch for you to follow for your entries this week.
Our sponsor is the wonderful Lacy Sunshine and I got to play with this cutie again.
Here is my card....... it was also made in a bit of a rush so isn't quite what I wanted to achieve. I forgot about the sketch and had another card made and ready to photograph or scan and then realised it was this week that we had to use the sketch, lol. I did manage to get the image off the first card to use here but now I have to do something else for that one, so will probably share that later.

Challenge # 15 Sledding Snowman

Aren't the weeks flying by at present. Hubby and I went out last night to a friend's 60th birthday party.I caught up with a couple of people I haven't seen in a while and ate food that I shouldn't have been eating!!!
I went out yesterday morning for a coffee with friends. They were running late and our regular coffee shop's coffee machine was broken down so we ended up in another little cafe which we aren't very keen on, but is the only other alternative in the shopping centre. I did some shopping for the long weekend and for food I was making to take to the party last night. I arrived home and about 30 seconds later our daughter rang and wanted to go op shopping. I had to quickly make the dessert for the evening and then only had about an hour and a half to spare before I needed to go to my friend Shirley's house for the afternoon. We had about a twenty minute drive to go to the op shop Rachel wanted to look at. She has been looking for a chest of drawers to hold baby clothes and we were lucky enough to find just what she was looking for and it was under a 1/4 of the new price of the drawers. We had to do a bit of juggling with baby seats in my car so we could get it in the back seat - we tried to get it in the boot but it was too deep, we measured length and width and thought it would go in but forgot about the depth!!! I then had to have her follow me to craft and then she took my car home to her house so her partner could get the cupboard out and then rushed back to drop my car back to me, pick hers up and head home for a quick change as she got called into work two hours earlier.A bit of a run around for her but at least she makes a few more dollars and can now not worry about furniture for the baby's room. We even got a small unit with tubs in for toys at the op shop as the young lad helping me to put the chest into the car said they had just got them in and did we want to buy them, lol. That was handy and only $10 as well.
It is freezing cold here today, so I've lit the fire and staying inside. No craft this afternoon so I may try and go for a walk.
Well I had better get on and share my DT card for the new challenge that starts today at Completely Christmas.
Here it is.....

 Recipe:
SU Pear Pizzazz cardstock for the cardbase
SU Real Red cardstock for the matte
White cardstock from stash for the image
DP is also SU - 41/2" x 61/2" pad called Season of Style
Image is Sledding Snowman from the Stamping Boutique
Die Cut- Spellbinders Nestie ~ Marvelous Squares
Punches - Large Oval and Scalloped Oval
Copic Markers
Memento Black inkpad
D/S tape roller
Foam Dots

Okay, am starting to freeze in this room, so I'll finish off and head back out to the fire, lol.
We would love to see your Christmas creations so pop over and enter the challenge and add to your stash at the same time.
Thanks for stopping by,

Challenge 108 - Cool Guy

A energetic day for me today, I started the day of with a PT session, a bit of grocery shopping. My new DIL popped in to grab some paperwork so she and our son can have their coffee machine fixed or replaced. A quick lunch. Our daughter was going to pop in and pick up a couple of things and a friend rang to see if I wanted to go for a walk with her. So.... waited for Katie to come and in the end rang her and said I would just leave the things for her(she was running late) and headed out for an hours walk around the Torren's river in town. We drive there and leave the car near the weir and then walk!!! On the way back we stopped for 5 minutes to have a coffee. Thought it best not to linger and have the muscles seize up on us as we were only about 10 minutes or so from the car by then. The weather held off and it was a relaxing time even though we were pacing it out. Tea out at the hotel tonight and then I've got church choir practice. Normally I go to craft in the afternoon but my friend Jane, has got a bad cold and didn't want to pass it on to anyone else, another friend is away on holiday so there was no point in changing the venue, so I cancelled it altogether. It's always nice to get together but at least I got some exercise, lol.
It's time for a new challenge at Aud Sentiments and this fortnight the theme is - A Sentiment for a Guy.
Our sponsor is the wonderful Bugaboo Stamps.
