Challenge #42 at Aud Sentiments
Hi everyone, a busy day today looking after grandchildren, extra fur
babies and having the police raid the house across the street for a drug
crop. The man that lived in the house previously drank too much and was conned into signing something when he went into business owning a pub of all things. A lenghty court case and after about 3 years he had to give the house up as it had been sold from underneath him years ago. He would be horrified to know the new owners had set it up inside to grow drugs. What a crazy world we live in!!!!!
I thought I would get a start on writing up my 2 posts for today whilst the grandies are watching some tv. I had four of them here yesterday and these 3 stayed overnight with us. We were going to have a picnic at our local school but after preparing everything one of the girls was complaining about an upset stomach so we came back home and picnicked on a blanket on the front lawn instead. They still enjoyed themselves.
Our sponsor this challenge is Doodle Pantry and the theme is Halloween
Here is my card using digi paper, sentiments and one of the pre-coloured images from the set....
Recipe:
SU Pumpkin Pie cardstock
Purple cardstock from stash
White cardstock from stash
DP, sentiments and Pre-coloured Image are all from Doodle Pantry - Spooky Worms
Nestie Dies - Standard Circles - large and small
D/S tape roller and Foam Dots
I am entering my card into the following challenge:
C.R.A.F.T. Challenge - Challenge 332 ~ Autumn/Halloween/Thanksgiving/Bonfire Night
DL ART - Challenge #166 ~ Halloween
Time for me to pop up the shops and get some cold meat to make the youngsters some lunch before they go nuts, lol. I can leave them here with my DIL(not their mum) so I don't have to make sure everyone has seat belts on. It will be quicker that way.
Please come and join in the challenge at Aud Sentiments Challenge Blog this fortnight and check out the DT cards, My teamies and I would love to see you stopping by our personal blogs as well.
Take care,
Hugs, Sandy

Happy Howl-oween over at Gingerloft Challenges
Hi everyone, a second post for today!!! Not like me, but Gingerloft's new challenge is starting and the theme this fortnight is Halloween or Fall. Hope you will join us in the challenge this time around and don't forget to stop by the Design Team blogs and maybe leave them a comment.
I'm an Aussie and we are not into Halloween in a big way, and personally my family don't celebrate it but I did really like this fab wolf image available from Gingerloft digi stamps and will probably turn it into a normal birthday card later on by switching the sentiment. It would make a great card for a male and was so easy to colour up.
I hope you like it and it encourages you to join in with the challenge.
Here is what I did...... I added a piece of white paper behind the card to scan as it kept cutting the scalloped edge off the top for some reason.
Front of card - top fold with the image sitting partially over the fold.
Inside of card
Recipe:
Black cardstock for the basecard from stash
Orange cardstock from stash
DP is from Kaisercraft - 6 1/2 x 6 1/2 paper pad called 13th hour
Sentiment and image are both from Gingerloft digi stamps
Copic Markers
Nestie dies - Scalloped Circle, large circle and large labels
I am entering this into the following challenges:
Dream Valley Challenges - Challenge 43 ~ Halloween
No Matter Which Challenges - Challenge #3 ~ Halloween Creations or Use Halloween Colours
Card Making Mamas - Challenge ~ Halloween or Spooky
Polka Doodles - Week 41 ~ Halloween
Well that's it for me tonight, come on get those creative juices moving and join in the challenge. Hope to see you there!!!
Take Care,
Sandy

Wicked Witch of the West
Hello everyone, another late night, another choir practise, (different choir, LOL)
and my husband went to see our granddaughter for her birthday on his motorbike and on his way home he got distracted by someone and had a low speed collision into the back of a vehicle, so that has upset him, no insurance on the bike!
It's been another lovely day weather-wise and after taking the youngest granddaughter home for the birthday party, I raced back (hey, I did obey the speed limit) and made myself some lunch and organised some craft bits and pieces and drove over to Jane's for the afternoon, forgot to take my diabetes medication with my lunch and remembered too late to take it. My reading tonight wasn't too bad though so must have eaten the right things today, LOL.
Anyway, onto my card for today, it's another Halloween card as that's what a lot of the challenges are about at the moment,
I've used a black basecard, SU elegant eggplant (I think) and some orange stripey DSP from stash. Stamps are from Crafty Secrets Clear Art Stamps - Halloween Fun, I stamped the shoes and fussy cut around them, layered one flat and raised the other, I used several punched circles for the sentiment. The image is from a sheet of DSP from Graphic 45 - The Magic of Oz Collection, I'm limited on stamps for this theme as we don't celebrate it. I've also used a photo corner punch to embellish two corners and added bling to it.
I would like to enter this into the Come and Get It Challenge - Happy Halloween Challenge - it's my second entry.
Would also like to enter it into Paper Pretties blog Challenge, PWC175 - hope it meets the criteria as I haven't used a stamp for the main image but the shoes and sentiment are stamped.
also The Lollipop Ladies Challenge#31 - Photo Inspiration - Boogeyman Lollipops with the additional theme of Halloween.
Well better press publish before the clock strikes midnight and I turn into a pumpkin, ha, ha,
Thanks for popping in,
Take Care,
Sandy

Trick or Treat
Hello everyone, hope you are all geared up for another weekend, the days seem to be flying past and I even had someone ask whether a certain date would be suitable for our choir Christmas get together!
I tried to do a bit more organizing in my craft room today, I have boxes everywhere and stamps too! I'd like to pull them all out and stick in the dining room but with my OH home now I can't do that, it's really hard to put things away if you can't actually get to the cupboards to sort them out! Oh well, one box at a time, LOL.
My youngest daughter called in after work today and I got her to put a hair dye in for me, I have quite dark brown hair so I've lightened it, it's always nice to have a change.
Well, whilst sorting things out in my room I came across my Halloween stamps and thought I would make a card to enter
Come and Get It Challenge for this week which is Happy Halloween Challenge.
The basecard is SU from one of the mixed packs, it's orange but I don't think it is pumpkin pie, the purple cardstock is from stash and this lovely paper is from a mini paper stack called Londonerry collection. I used 6 stamps from Crafty Secrets Clear Art Stamps called Halloween Fun, I stamped them with SU Basic Grey and coloured with a combination of Marvy Markers (purple, orange and yellow) and Copics (a brown for the hair, and 2 colours for the skin tone), I sponged around both the sentiment and the nestie diecut with ink from the orange Marvy Marker and finished off with this lovely strip made with a Martha Stewart Punch.
Her cape is actually a bright orange but it looks red in my scanned picture.
Thanks for stopping by again - have a great weekend,
Take care,
Sandy

Thanks for stopping by again - have a great weekend,
Take care,
Sandy
