Hi everyone, normally I post on Wednesdays for the Perfect Sentiment Challenge Blog and we are currently on break for two weeks for Thanksgiving. Unfortunately, Jennipher, the owner has had to close the blog (I found out last night) due to work commitments, health and also the health of her mother. I had been really missing not posting on the last couple of Wednesdays so I will be on the lookout for another DT to hopefully join. This is the second one I've been on this year that has had to close. It does take a lot of time to do the behind the scenes work for a blog and I want to thank Jennipher for all the wonderful leadership and time she has put into the blog to make it a happy place for all the teamies. I'll miss you all!!!! and I'm sure a lot of you will miss joining in with the challenges too.
I am still having a lot of pain in my hip area due to my fall on Saturday. I went with a friend to do some laps of the pool on Tuesday and yesterday, I could hardly walk and definitely couldn't bend down to pick anything up. I can't really swim properly and can only do that stroke that looks like a frog, lol!!! I did about 5 - 6 laps of the pool that way and walked a couple as well. I haven't done much exercise in the last couple of years and maybe I should have waited till my leg and hip were a bit better before jumping in, lol. I have a bit more movement today. I had craft to teach yesterday and that was a bit of a trial getting gear in and out of the car plus getting my two year old grandson strapped into his seat. Luckily, he can climb in and out of the car so I didn't have to lift him too.
I didn't sleep well last night, we've had two pretty hot days and with the pain and tossing and turning the nights have been a bit unsettled. I heard a noise about 3.15 a.m. so got up and went off to the bathroom. Thought I would take a peek outside and went to open the front door only to find hubby hadn't locked it. I couldn't sleep after that so came and sat on the computer and did some commenting, played some games and then went and made a coffee and watched some television!!!
Did the dishes about 6.30 a.m. and then after having a shower decided to take the recycling out to the bin. Hubby's headlights were on in his 4WD - turned them off and messaged him at work to say I hoped that his battery wasn't flat. He thought it was strange they were on because both he and my son were out seperately last night on their motorbikes and came home in the dark. They would have noticed the lights on as they came in the driveway. I'm thinking the noise I heard might have been someone in the car!!! and maybe they took off when I opened and closed the front door. Who knows, hubby hardly ever locks his car!!!
Today, the temp has dropped right down to 17C and it has been raining slightly so I've taken a photo of my card outside on the verandah and it has turned out a bit dull and I've scanned it and it's fuzzy in one corner so I'm going to share both so you can see the true colour of the DP (that's the second one!)
Here are the pics.....
This one is the photo...
and this is the scan - this is more what the DP looks like but as you can see because of the button in the corner that area is a bit fuzzy!
Recipe:
SU Night Of Navy cardstock for cardbase and mattes
SU Baked Brown Sugar cardstock for mattes

MIM#168 Building a Snowman with CC Designs
Hi everyone, I hope you had a good weekend. My hubby and I had an all expenses paid trip to Sydney for two days to see our son graduate last Thursday night. We stayed out at an hotel at Olympic Park, which was built for the last Olympics that were held in Australia. We didn't have much time, and we were about 40 mins out from the city centre, so we didn't get to do any sightseeing. The graduation dinner/ceremony was held in a venue at Lunar Park (an amusement park which is near the base of the Sydney Harbour Bridge) in the city centre, so we did see the harbour and the bridge etc.We arrived mid afternoon Thursday and had about an hour to relax before getting ready to be picked up and taken to the ceremony/dinner. It was a formal event, so I got to wear my dress that I bought for our son's wedding back in April. On Friday, they picked us up and took us for a tour of the training centre, provided us lunch and then drove us off to the Airport to catch our flights to all the various places that the apprentices live throughout Australia. On Saturday, I went into my craft room and must have knocked a piece of clear packaging onto the floor. I was using my Cuttlebug and was hurrying to finish a card, I turned around to walk out of the room and my foot slipped on the plastic and sent me into the splits. (I don't think I have ever done the full splits in my whole life and at my age it is very painful!!! LOL) I dragged my other leg forward and just sat there on the floor for about 10 mins before attempting to get up,. Hubby and also our youngest son had already gone out and I was expecting the 3 grandchildren as they were coming to stay overnight. Needless to say, it has been a hard weekend, not much sleep ( 3 kids sleeping in the bed with me too) I'm still sore, but starting to feel a bit more movement without as much pain!
Now onto the purpose of my post and that is to share my DT card for Make It Monday, we would love you to join us at our Linky Party. This week the DT team had just one image to play with, so check out the rest of the team and see what they did with it. Our sponsor this time around is C.C. Designs rubber stamps and dies
Congratulations to as the featured artist Coreysnana1( this one was on my short list for POTW!) and also to Cindy as the winning commenter. I hope you enjoy your prize.

Second Post for today -Happy Christmas - GDT card for Incy Wincy Design Challenges
Hi again, second post for today and my third in the last 24 hours. I would love it if you scrolled down and checked out my last two post and left me a comment so I know you've been.
My card tonight is for a GD spot at Incy Wincy Design Challenge blog. This is my third one and I still have one to go for next week. I've been enjoying playing here.
The challenge this week is to make an easel card and Kenny K and Lacy Sunshine are the sponsors this time around. Just fabulous images. I chose to play with this little cutie out doing her Christmas shopping! Still have that to do. The kids decided several years ago just to do Secret Santa, so just have one person to buy for and also the grandchildren as well. Have you started your shopping yet or are you super organised and have it all done?
It's been a quiet day here at home. Isaac has had a lovely time playing at Mama's and had an afternoon nap and is just waiting for Mum (DIL) to pick him up. I did a load of washing and just pottered about the house.
Anyway, I better get on and share my card with you and then make sure Isaac's bag is ready to go home with him.
Here it is...... it's always hard getting a good shot of easel cards (it is for me anyway!)
Here is a pic of just the top section

MIM#167 A Christmas Scene with Bugaboo Stamps
Monday and time for a new Linky Party at Make It Monday!!! We are being sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps this week. Such fabulous images! I chose this cute trio of sheep to work with. The image is called Scene It - Christmas Sheep. Yeah! another Christmas card for the slowly growing stash. A busy couple of days post wise for me, so please scroll down and check out my DT card for 613 Avenue Create and also check back tonight for my GD card for Incy Wincy Designs Challenge. Next Monday will be my last card for them.
Congratulations go to Judith as our featured artist this week and also to Trace as the winning commenter. Enjoy your prize.
Our youngest son went on a fishing trip with some friends and bought back fish for last night's meal. He didn't get home until 9 PM last night as they were about two hours away and had to drive back after cleaning and filleting most of the fish and cooking some for them to eat too. It was yummy salmon trout. Hubby took some over to the neighbour, one of our sons and a DIL came over and also a friend of our youngest son. There are two whole fish in the freezer and some fillets still in the fridge, so fish again tonight! At least hubby will do the cooking, I always get told I overcook fish ( I like mine well cooked, lol).
Back to craft chat, lol. Make sure you check out all the fabulous DT cards and we would love to see you join in the linky party this week. Christmas is getting so close now and I'm sure there are still people out there creating Christmas cards still (me included!!!) so there is sure to be lots of Christmas inspiration in the coming weeks linky parties.
Here is what I came up with. Sorry the scan is slightly blurry in the top left corner. I couldn't get a decent photo yesterday so had to put up with the scanner
Recipe:
Green cardstock from stash for the cardbase

Image is from Bugaboo - Scene It - Christmas Sheep

Jodie works very hard to provide New Releases and Freebies every week!
If your taste runs to rubber (and you know who you are), you can find Bugaboo Stamps atTotally Stampalicious. And finally, join the Bugaboo Stamps DT for weekly challenges at Catch the Bug.

The second one is by Meg from Bits and Pieces and you can find it here. A delightful CAS card, love the beautifully coloured image.
Time to go, Isaac is here today and so far he has been playing in the back room and watching a bit of kiddy tv programmes and also running up and down the hallway with his toy lawnmower while I type. He's a good little boy (most of the time, lol)
The DT and I are really looking forward to seeing your fantastic creations this week. Don't forget to be in the running for the prize you need to do a bit of hopping and leave a comment saying you saw their creations on the Make It Monday linky blog. Peace On Earth - Challenge #46 ~ DT card 613 Avenue Create
It's Team B's turn to create for 613 Avenue Create Challenge this week and we have the wonderful Rick St. Dennis sponsoring us. I chose this cute little angel called Rose Angel to play with. Its World Peace Day so the challenge is to use the word Peace or a peace symbol in your creation. I used the opportunity to make another Christmas card as I really have not sat down and made them throughout the year like I did last year.
We had our three grandchildren come down Saturday lunchtime and they stayed overnight. Our son is here now to pick them up, but is not in a hurry to leave, so I put Isaac to bed for an afternoon nap. The two youngest came with me to craft yesterday and the oldest one stayed here with our son (her uncle). We ended up having a late evening meal and then a story and off to bed. We had church this morning and the kids had fun at Sunday School with morning tea afterwards.
I thought I had better come in and write up my post and schedule it before I forgot to do it altogether. I still have another DT card to finish off too, so will get stuck into that in a few minutes (Putting off doing the dishes, lol!!!)
Well, here is my card, it's a scan this time - I did take a photo but there was not enough light and it just turned out quite dark. I used a gorgeous sparkly silver netted ribbon behind my angel and it doesn't really show up that well. You can see it, but not the sparkle!
Recipe:
SU Real Red cardstock for the cardbase and mattes
White cardstock from stash
DP is from stash - a pack of loose sheets I picked up quite a while ago ~ 8"x8" and no longer have the packaging.
Image is from Rick St. Dennis ~ Rose Angel
Sentiment is from SU - Four the Holiday
Couture creations Die - Sophia Collection ~ Helena
Copic Markers
DS tape roller
Foam Dots
Bling from stash
SU Pacific Point inkpad
The rest of the DT and I would love to see your creations this week, so why not pop over and join in the fun!

PSC100 - A Snowman for Christmas
Hi everyone, it's Wednesday and the start of a new challenge at the Perfect Sentiment. This week we are doing another sketch but the theme is Christmas this time and I for one am a bit behind in my Christmas card making so this is a good opportunity to kick the ol' Christmas Spirit into gear! We are being sponsored by Pattie's Creations and I chose this cute snowman to create my card around.
Yesterday my friend and I went to craft as usual, but this week we had a couple of extras join us from Pt. Wakefield, which is probably over an hour away from town. We had fun together and got all the cards done. Fran helped out by bringing a couple of extra tape rollers and some foam dots and I helped with a bit of fussy cutting for one of the ladies. I had one of those days where my paper and card just didn't want to go on quite straight and the adhesive decided to grip like death so I had trouble getting it off to straighten. Maybe it just wasn't straight to start with! I really wish someone would come up with a decent cutter that lines up properly and has all the measurements showing! One of the ladies had a newish cutter but it didn't have the 10 1/2" mark showing and that is what the width of our basic card is, so it is quite frustrating at times.
I was off to choir last night where we are learning Christmas Music. Today I taught at my Wednesday group and my "student"/friend and I also rehearsed a couple of songs for the upcoming breakup concert in a couple of week's time. Her MIL has dementia and is in a nursing home, has been for a couple of years. She had a fall on Monday sometime and they think she has broken her hip and also had a stroke. They have put her onto palliative care and although they haven't started giving her morphine, it is a matter of time. She received a phone call from the staff/doctor and they have told her that the outcome is not good, so she was quite upset and we ended up not finishing our little box/ gift holder that we started on.
This afternoon I ended up dropping off to sleep with my little grandson for about 15 mins and waking up when the phone rang. Just another annoying call from someone wanting to sell something. Anyway, Issac is now awake after having about 1 1/2 hours sleep and I've put on the tv for him to watch. His Mum should be here soon to pick him up as she has to get the girls from After School Care today. Well I had better get on and share my card with you and get this posted. We would love to see you entering a Christmas card this week.
Here is my card... I have to finish off the inside later tonight before I stick it in my Christmas stash box. Nothing worse than pulling a card out to write on and finding I've forgotten to do the inside!!!
Recipe:

Dark Green cardstock from Quill (this lot of card I've had for at least 4-5 years!!!)
White card from stash

PSC99 Thanksgiving Sketch with Robyn's Fetish
It's Wednesday, I have two grandchildren today to look after. I normally have Isaac but the oldest grand-daughter wasn't feeling very well. A bit of a cold and a croaky throat ( she also has some issues with asthma every now and again) so she came as well. She seems to be not too bad and is now playing out in the family room while her brother is having a nap. I took them to craft with me this morning. There are two large rooms filled to overflowing with toys so they weren't out breathing over everyone. I had a friend come with me this morning as I was teaching a Christmas card that she was keen on making, so I had 3 on my table. I think they were all pleased with their efforts!
It's the start of a new challenge at the Perfect Sentiment and this week the theme is Thanksgiving using a sketch which I will share later in the post. I chose my image before having a good look at the sketch and realised I would have to flip it sideways. That's the beauty of a sketch, you can make it sideways, upside down or the right way up, it's your choice as long as the basic elements are there!
Our sponsor this week is Robyn's Fetish and I chose this wonderful image called "The Cook". I also printed it out too large to use for this sketch and as I had run out of time I decided to photocopy my own coloured image and reduce it to a size that would fit the sketch design! It's a bit lighter in spots, but I don't mind that. I did go over the face, hand and legs with my E000 as it was too pale. I'll add a scan of my original image.
Here's my card......
This is my original image.... the colours are a bit more vibrant here especially on the apron.
Recipe:
SU Marina Mist cardstock for the cardbase and mattes
The two DP's are from Kaisercraft 6x6 paper pad - Hippy Girl Collection. The striped one is textured and feels like felt.
Image is The Cook from Robyn's Fetish
Sentiment is from SU clear set called Wetlands - a fab set of stamps!
Nestie Die on the inside is Labels eleven
Copic Markers
D/s tape roller
Foam Dots Pearls from Stash
I am entering this into the following challenges:
Bearly-Mine Challenges - Challenge #111 ~ Anything Goes
Papertake Weekly Challenge - Anything Goes
Party Time Tuesday - Challenge #145 ~ Thanksgiving or Thank You Cards
Shopping Our Stash - SOS#126 - Thanks ( I've had this paper pad for quite a while now!)
Through the Craft Room Door - Anything Goes
Okay here is the pic of the sketch for you to follow when you create your card and don't forget there needs to be a sentiment on the front too.

MIM#165 A flower for You with Saturated Canary
Good morning, it's going to be a hot one here today so I'm writing up my post as I wait for my grandson to be dropped off for me to look after. I did most of the washing yesterday but I suppose I probably should get an early load on so I don't have to be hanging it outside in the heat later. My son dropped in yesterday and said he supposed it was time to clean up for Christmas, he was talking about himself, but I think it was a non too subtle hint for me to tidy away my craft gear in preparation for the Christmas onslaught.
I'm going to have two posts today as I got the chance to be a Guest Designer at Incy Wincy Challenge Blog for the month of November, so please drop back in later tonight to check out my first card for them.
Well, Monday means the start of a new linky party at Make It Monday, This is where you can enter as many times as you like and even share an older creation. All we ask is that is be a papercraft project and that there is a current link to Make It Monday blog, not hard is it and we encourage you to visit the other entries and leave them a comment. I would like to congratulate Susan as our featured artist and also Lisa as the winning commenter. Enjoy your prize.

Ruffles by Rick St Dennis DT card for 613 Avenue Create
Hi everyone, the weekend has nearly finished. I overslept after having a late night trying to get a couple of DT cards finished (including this one, I'd coloured the image but late night brain freeze had set in and I couldn't think what to do with her!) I missed breakfast so put off taking my diabetes medication until lunchtime. I got stuck into the dishes and several loads of washing, I still have to hang out my son's work and gym clothes!
I had a fairly full weekend, yesterday I was up and making a card in the morning for a GD spot which I will be posting on Monday, so look out for that one and also my regular Make It Monday post. Our Saturday craft group started back as our host, Judy, was back from her overseas holiday and we got together a bit early so we could go out for lunch to celebrate one of the "girls" 50th birthday! We had a nice lunch, although, I chose the sweet and sour pork from the lunch menu and it wasn't fabulous. We spent the rest of our group time just catching up and checking out some of the places Judy went to. Next week we are going to meet at the craft and quilt show for some craft shopping therapy, lol. I got back home just in time to get ready to go out with my hubby for a dinner with some of our friends from the church we used to go to. A good time was had by all!!! and we got home late.
I hope you all enjoyed your weekend too.
It's time for another challenge at 613 Avenue Create - there were so many entries last week, all wonderful. We are looking forward to another batch of creativity this week today as our theme is Anything Goes and who doesn't like that one!
Our sponsor is the fabulously creative Rick St. Dennis and I chose this elegant lady called Ruffles to create my card with. I coloured her with colours I don't normally use much and I think she turned out pretty well.
What do you think?
