Winter has set in this past week with grey skies and lots of gloomy clouds and lashings of rain. No rain today but very cold and overcast. Just right for a card featuring a snowman! Our challenge at Completely Christmas  this week is sponsored by the fab Bugaboo Stamps and the image I used is a square but I chose to cut it up into the 3 outlined sections. The theme is ATG with a twist of using something silver.I completely forgot this when I was making my card so have redeemed myself slightly with the use of a few silver bling on the snowflake. It's a bit hard to see, but it is there, lol.
So on with sharing my card with you......

Green Matte is from my scrap pile
White cardstock from stash
DP is from Kaisercraft 6x6 paper pad - Christmas Carnival Collection

My fellow DT and I would love to see your Christmas creations this week. The year is flying by and we're already into our 5th month!!! Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Challenge 61 at Completely Christmas

A lovely Autumn day today the sun is shining and just a touch of wind. I've spent most of it at home doing a little bit of washing and waiting for the grandkids to arrive. I thought they were coming earlier, but we're still waiting and it's nearly tea time. I popped out for a few groceries with my DIL and now back home with a coffee in hand and typing up this post. I hope you are enjoying your weekend.
Well, a new challenge starts today at Completely Christmas Challenges and if you pop over to the challenge blog, you will see that poor Suzy has had her mother in hospital for the last month and life has been up and down for her. So keep a look out if you have entered challenges lately as she will be putting up the winners soon.
Our sponsor this week is Dazzling Ace Designs and the theme is ATG with a twist of adding some Holly.
Here is my card.... it was done in quite a hurry so I'm afraid it is not quite as I would have liked.

Recipe:
SU Garden Green cardstock for the basecard and mattes
White cardstock from stash to print the image and to do the sentiment
DP is from Francheville 12x12 paper pad - Calico Christmas (I sponged the edges)

Okay, just got a phone call from my son regarding the grandchildren and they are just leaving home now so probably will be another hour before they arrive......so I had better say goodbye and go and sort out some tea for them as we are going up after tea to our daughter's house and lighting up some wood for a bonfire. The kids can toast some marshmallows and visit with their cousin too.
Please come and join in the new challenge, my fellow teamies and I would love to see your creations.

Vintage Christmas - Challenge 60 at Completely Christmas

It's Anzac Day today and I've spent the past 5 hours rehearsing and then performing a concert. It's been a long day but all the rehearsals over the last few months have paid off and its finally over. The next one we are doing is a Proms Concert with the Police Band, that will be more entertaining with lighter, happier music.
It's cold and wet again today as well so I came home and my son and DIL had the wood fire going and at least the house is warm.
Anyway, I had better get on and share my DT card with you for Completely Christmas Challenges this week. We haven't had a lot of entries lately in the challenge so let my encourage you to get your Christmas cards started and come and join in the challenge and who knows, you could be the lucky winner of our sponsors prize. We actually have two sponsors this time, so double the chance!!!!
Our sponsors are Dazzling Ace Designs and Deedee's Digis and our theme is ATG with a twist of using some Washi Tape on your project. It doesn't have to be a card as long as it is Christmas themed.
I have used an image from Dazzling Ace Designs and this is what I did with it.......

Have You Been Naughty or Nice? Challenge 58 at Completely Christmas Challenges

Hello, it's been a busy day today with two of our daughter's deciding to have a garage sale at our house, lol.
Hubby has been busy dragging out some of his junk to try and sell as well and not sure whether I will try to sell some of my cards or not. Nobody wants to pay much for things these days and it is annoying when you know how much time and effort you've put into something only to have someone offer a pittance for it. So....will think about it!
It's Saturday and that means a new challenge at Completely Christmas Challenges and it's Anything Goes with a twist of adding a Touch of Gold. I've coloured Santa's feather pen in with a gold Wink of Stella pen and also used a shiny self striped gold paper as one of my layers. It doesn't show well here but it is quite shiny in real life, lol.
Here is my card.......

Recipe:
SU Real Red cardstock for the cardbase

We went to her place for lunch and now back home for a short while to type up my post and let the other granddaughter get a nap. I still have to go buy the ingredients to make a carrot cake to use as the birthday cake tomorrow. But.....need a coffee first, lol.

Challenge 54 Completely Christmas

Another lovely day and so far I've spent time with both of my daughter's and my two youngest granddaughters. Started out here at home with youngest daughter and also youngest granddaughter calling in to make some hessian bunting as she is trying to firm up a date for their wedding next year and wants to start making decorations along the way for a vintage themed wedding. She bought a huge amount of lace in a second hand shop for a bargain price and I already had some hessian so we have been busy cutting the hessian and pinned it to the lace. She wants to stencil some heart on as well but we'll wait till we've got it sewn together and keep fingers crossed it turns out ok! Then we jumped in the car and headed out to a shopping centre about 30 mins from home to meet our eldest daughter and her little girl who will be turning one year old this month. We had lunch and a wander around the shops, back here so Rachel could get her car and drive back home in time for her partner to load up his musical gear for a practice and then a gig tonight. So...here I am typing away getting this post ready to share my DT card for Completely Christmas Challenge which has a new challenge starting today. I hope you come and join in and take the pressure off  yourself by slowly getting your Christmas cards or decorations etc done before the mad December rush.
This week we are being sponsored by Stitchy Bear and I've used a pre-coloured image which I re-coloured some sections with my Copics to brighten it up. I re-coloured the coat, headband and bows, stripes on her tights, her hair(I just brightened what was already there, didn't attempt to put any shading in)  and her skin.
Here is my card..........

Recipe:
SU Real Red cardstock for basecard and punched oval

SU Garden Green cardstock for mattes

The house isn't quite unbearable yet and there seems to be a bit of breeze coming through the now open doors and windows but not sure how we will be coping after tonight, lol. Vintage girl on bike Challenge 50 at Completely Christmas Challenges

Hubby, myself and our youngest daughter and granddaughter went down yesterday to Victor Harbour to stay with friends overnight and then we went to a charity auction this morning. It was forecast for 41C but it was very overcast and we didn't get the full effect of the sun until about 11a.m. and then we roasted!!!
I didn't buy anything as I was outbid on a tallboy set of drawers. Our daughter bought a small old folding table and a large print that she just wanted for the frame. She intends to use them for her wedding props (eventually) We stayed down there for lunch and then headed back home around 3:30p.m as we are babysitting another granddaughter overnight. So this is my first chance to sit down and do my post. I've got a headache from the heat which I'm hoping will settle down soon.
Anyway I had better get on with this post and share my card for Completely Christmas Challenges. Its ATG but we have a twist of ......Children and toys. Our sponsor this week is Dazzling Ace Designs - The Home of All Things Vintage and I chose this delightful picture to use on my card.

Merry & Bright ~ Challenge #48 at Completely Christmas

Well another week down and that's the end of January. All my regular activities are starting up again and I'll have to get back into the routine of regular craft sessions and making cards for my Wednesday group ladies to do. In fact that is what I have to organise over the next couple of days.
I rang a couple of friends earlier today to see if they wanted to come with me to the craft shop, one was away off on a river boat and the other said yes. So armed with a request from my friend who couldn't come and the mission to buy a couple of copic ink refills for myself we headed out. Several dies later, lol, I remembered that I wanted the ink refills and the acid free tissue paper for my friend. Paid the larger bill than I had planned and laughed when my friend paid her bill as well. Do you do that? go in for one thing and come out with quite a bit more!!! Anyway, we enjoyed our time at the shop and he had changed things around a bit and opened up two new rooms full of craft material. Lunch and coffee finished our outing just right.
Anyway..... the reason for my post is to share my DT card for the new challenge at Completely Christmas Challenges. This week is our usual ATG but there is a twist of making a square or rectangular card.
Our sponsor this week is Lacy Sunshine Stamps
Here is my card...... I went square!!!

Make It Cute - Challenge #46 at Completely Christmas

It's Saturday and that means a new challenge at Completely Christmas Challenge Blog. I know we've just got over Christmas and the New Year, but believe me I've found it less stressful to know my cards are all done before the mad rush of Christmas preparations kick in. So why not join in with the challenge and get all your cards done on a weekly basis and avoid the stress, lol.
This week is Anything Goes (as long as its Christmas) with a twist of Make It Cute!!!
Our sponsor is Stitchy Bear Stamps
Here is my card.

Recipe:
SU Baked Brown Sugar cardstock for cardbase and mattes
SU Real Red
White card from stash to print the image onto

Time to say goodbye, my teamies and I would love to have you pop in and leave us a comment. I'd appreciate the feedback.
