Christmas challenge No 52 starting today at Completely Christmas Challenge Blog and this time our Twist is to include some texture. I've chosen to add some texture with some embossing and also using some homemade Gesso and a stencil. First time trying this and I think it worked out okay.
Our sponsor is Deedee's Digis and we had several images to choose from so I went with this cute caroling snowman (being a singer myself I thought it would go down well with my singing buddies) and Silent Night is one of my favourite carols too!
So here is what I came up with for my DT card........
Recipe:
SU Real Red Cardstock
SU Old Olive scraps
Blue card from stash
White card stash for image and sentiment
Image and Sentiment from Deedee's Digis - Caroling Snowman - pre-coloured image
Dies - Nestie Die - Deckled Rectangle ~ Large & Small
- Cottage Cutz ~ Tree Mini
- Top Note Die for the inside
Tim Holtz Stencil - Crocodile
Embossing Folder - Cuttlebug Swirls
Homemade Gesso
Foam Dots
D/S Tape Roller
I am entering my card into the following challenges:
52 (Christmas) Card Throwdown - Feb Stash Challenge - Markers
Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge - Challenge 218 ~ Cut it Up (used scissors and dies)
Suzy Bee's Bloomin' Challenge - Challenge 69 ~ Anything Goes with a twist - embossing wet or dry
Jingle Belle's - Challenge - photo inspiration (I used the swirls and the snow to inspire me)
Addicted to Stamps - Challenge #133 ~ Holiday
Fab 'n' Funky Challenges - Challenge #248 - Christmas Lets see some snowflakes (mine are some dots only but hope that counts - I see one of the DT have used only dots)
Looking forward to seeing everyone's wonderful creations this week.
Thanks for stopping by,
Take Care,
Hugs, Sandy
