Yeah! I have a month's GDS at Sentimental Sundays. Today has been another scorcher - over 44 C and I had to go to a 3 hour choir rehearsal, not much fun singing in Latin in the heat!!! We have only just started learning it for our first concert this year.
Anyhow, back to this week's challenge at Sentimental Sundays, The theme is for a Special Lady using Pastel Colours and the sponsor is the fabulous Bugaboo Digi Stamps
I got to play with this fun image - Ruby Calendar Months - October . I chose to colour her hair all one colour (including the little leaves and pumpkins)
Here is the card I made to share...... it's for a special friend to celebrate her finishing her latest degree in her nursing career, but it would also be suitable for a birthday card too!.
Recipe:
SU Bashful Blue cardstock for the cardbase
SU Pink Pirouette
Image is Bugaboo - Ruby Calendar Months - October
Sentiments are diecuts from Kaisercraft collectables - Confetti
Nestie Die - Romantic Rectangles
DP is from Mini Deco Paper Medley Pastel Patterns ( I've had this a long time, lol)
I am entering this into the following challenges:
Challenges 4 Everybody - Challenge #38 ~ Anything Goes
One Stitch At A Time - Challenge #198 ~ Anything Goes
That's it from me, starting to melt here in front of the computer. I need to get back to the air conditioner to
cool down, so.......
We would love to see you popping in and joining in the challenge this week. Can't wait to check out some of your blogs.
Thanks for stopping by,
Hugs,
Sandy

Julian & Lindsay - DT card MIM #121
Well Christmas is over and the New Year is nearly here too. We have enjoyed Christmas with family and friends and made merry over the last few days as well. It was my hubby's birthday yesterday and we had our family and a couple of friends over for a barbeque. I squeezed some time in yesterday to make this card for MIM DT this week. LOL, I had to find all my craft bits and pieces first and it had all been hastily stored away in the mad clean up dash before Christmas and I dread trying to find things at the moment.
I hope you all have had an enjoyable and safe Christmas period and our now geared up to join in the very last linky party for 2012. We are looking forward to lots of wonderful entries.
Congrats to Kaija for being the featured artist from last fortnight and also to Michaela for being the winning commenter. Hope you enjoy your prize.
Well, I am up late(Sunday) scheduling my post for today and this is my first post since Christmas day, I've missed being here on a daily basis and hope to be back in full swing soon.

MY POTW is this fun card from JoAnn at J.ATTENBURY CREATIONS and you can see more pics here on her blog - I felt like this many times in the last year and am looking forward to having a bit of a break over the holidays.
Okay, your turn, get out those bits of card and paper and your stamps or digis and make something to inspire us and others. Look forward to seeing what you come up with.
Remember, to be in the running to win the prize from our sponsor this week just leave a comment for another entry. Be sure to mention you saw them on Make It Monday. The more entries you comment on the more chances you have of winning!

Engagement card for Andy and Mandy
Today was a full day, I woke up early when my hubby left for work and then went back to sleep. Got woken at 7.30 a.m. by the alarm and terrible leg cramp. I finally drifted off again only to be woken by our youngest son who had taken his rally car on the back of a trailer to a tyre place and left the keys home so couldn't drive it off. Could I please bring the keys to him? Luckily it isn't very far from home only two minutes in the car. I did have to get dressed, check my blood sugar, have breakfast and medication, all of which I did in record time but still got another call to ask where was I!!! I went to the shops after I gave him the keys and found some black cord jeans.
I haven't been to the Saturday craft group for 3 weeks due to other committments, so I went but I was late because I had to make this card first as we went to the Engagement Party tonight.
We've only just got home and I am now sitting here yawning while I type my post.
This is what I made for the happy couple....
Front of card
Inside of card
Recipe:
Black cardstock from stash for the basecard
Silver textured cardstock from stash
DP from 6x6 mini pad from Cre8tiv
Main image is from Fizzy Moon ~ Celebrations - Let's Celebrate
Little Heart image is from SU I (heart) Hearts
Sentiment is from SU Perfect Punches
Nestie Circle Dies.
Small pearls from stash
Copic Markers
Decorative Label Punch
SU Basic Black inkpad
SU Real Red inkpad
I stamped the image directly onto the silver textured card and then onto a scrap of the same card. I cut it out and adhered over the top of the first one to give it a bit more dimension. I coloured the bottle, cork, cap, the teddie's nose, glasses and the hearts with Copic Markers. I only wanted the colour to be very minimalistic.
I added a torn piece of the black card. A small piece of the DP with a strip of black card through the middle
The sentiment was also stamped onto the textured card using SU Basic Black ink and cut out with the punch.
The little hearts on the inside were stamped directly onto the textured card with SU Real Red ink
I am entering this into the following challenges:
ATC's and Cards with Attitude - Challenge 21 ~ Anything Goes
Fat Pages and Cards with Attitude - Challenge 21 ~ Anything Goes
365 Cards - Day 182 ~ Textured Treatment - stamp directily onto textured paper/card
Divas by Design - Challenge 50 ~ Let's Celebrate
Perfect Sentiments - PSC 47 ~ Anything Goes with a sentiment
Well, I hope you are enjoying your weekend, aren't the days just flying by!!!!!
Thanks for stopping by,

Sandy

Rocket to the Moon
Very late again tonight, we had friends drop in around tea time with some wood so we asked them to stay for a meal with us. I had corned silverside cooking so made some mashed potatoes and veg to go with it. I wanted to make some mustard sauce but searched high and low for the mustard powder to no avail. So it turned into cheese sauce instead!
I had the neighbour's lawyer ring about the assault I witnessed a couple of months ago but I am not keen on having my name bandied around the court as I am wary of the man retaliating. He told me the police had found this man and were trying to charge him with assault so I could be called as a witness anyway. I hope not. I just wanted the man to stop attacking my neighbour, which is what he did when I yelled at him. He is still going to mention that a neighbour witnessed the assault and hope the judge doesn't want my name, if he does, the lawyer will be ringing me again possibly to try and convince me to agree to having my name mentioned in the court case. This is a separate case concerning a civil matter and separate to the one the police are trying to make. Aaaargh!!
I finally finished putting inserts and writing out my Christmas cards today and posted them out this afternoon. Crazy! I've had them made for months and still left it to the last week to organize them. I feel better that they should arrive either tomorrow or Wednesday.
Well anyway onto my card,
I have used SU Night of Navy as my cardbase and then a DP from a cre8tiv mini paper stack. I really like this paper it does look like stars shining. I added some holographic stars to give it a bit more shine although they may not show up on the scan. (Oh. I just checked the scan and you can see them, they haven't shown true to colour though, but still look ok??) I used a small round diecut which I sponged with Close to Cocoa and made little marks all over it with a yellow Copic Marker to hopefully make it look like the moon. The rocket is a freebie digi again and coloured with Copics and then popped onto the card with foam dots. The sentiment is from a See-D's set of stamps and I used an oval punch to cut it out and Pacific Point Ink to sponge around it.
I would like to enter this into Make It Monday Challenge #68 - Anything Goes.
I think you could use this card for a birthday or as a congratulatory card for something achieved.
Off to bed, Thanks for stopping by and to those that comment, I appreciate them.
Take Care all,
Sandy

You're a Star
Hello to all who have stopped by today, It's a blowy, cold day today so I have the fire going and Layla (3) is snuggled up in bed having an afternoon nap.
The card I am sharing in this post is for the Less Is More Challenge which this week is a Monogram card. I hope this fits the criteria for the challenge.
I've cut out a star and used the letter S from one of my alphabet dies to represent "Star" and I've added a little tag with the word "Congratulations" on it.
The card could be used for possibly a graduation, an achievement of some type, maybe sport or even a work promotion.
The card had to have a reasonable open space and minimal embellishment, so hope this is okay.
