You're one cool cat!

Hi everyone, a quick post before I head to bed to share my DT card for the new challenge at 613 Avenue Create. challenge blog.
The theme is Anything Goes with an Optional Twist : Use more than one fold.
I've cased this card template from a friend who saw it online so not sure of the origins of it. It's a normal top fold card with an extra layer (longer than the actual card) attached to it that has an extra fold to create the panel at the front. I've added an extra photo to show it slightly sideways.
Here is what I created:

Products used - Cardstock from SU
Paper was from my scrap pile but I think was SU as well
Images and sentiments were from a recently purchased stamp set and also a stamp set from SU
Punches - Square and Scalloped Square, Small oval, Large Oval and Scalloped Oval.
Acrylic adhesive hearts
Copic Markers
Memento Tuxedo Black inkpad
D/S tape roller & foam dots

Hope to see you popping over to the challenge blog to check out my teamies creations and to add some of yours.
Thanks for stopping by,
Hugs, Sandy

Is it Coffee Time

Well, it's been stressful the last couple of days with a second Windows Update making my computer crash. I spent about 3 hours last night waiting for Auto Repair to work with no luck, so had to leave computer on all night and woke this morning to hubby telling me the computer was on with a big blue screen etc. So back to trying to work it out and finally after another couple of hours it's finally decided to play nice. I'm lucky, another friend had the same problem but didn't get any repair screen. It's cost her hundreds of dollars and several days without a computer. Windows should be responsible for all the expense incurred by probably lots of people with this issue. Anyway.... that's enough ranting. Now onto my reason for my post today!
It's challenge time at Crafting from the Heart (and I'm late because of the above!!!)The theme is as usual Anything Goes and our sponsor is Createful Heart Digis.
Here is my card........

Recipe:
SU Dapper Denim cardstock, SU Garden Green cardstock and White cardstock from stash
DP is from TPC Studio - So Deligh ~Everything but the kitchen sink
Image is from Createful Heart Digis - Perkin Up

           Die-namics ~ Stitched Circles
Punches - SU 1 3/4" circle and 2" scalloped circle

Well after all the drama, lol, I would like to encourage you to pop into the challenge blog and check out the DT creations and add an entry or two. We'd love to see your makes.

Time to Celebrate with our 3rd Annual Block Party

Hi everyone, yeah!!! we are celebrating our 3rd year at 613 Avenue Create with our Annual Block Party. The Optional Theme for challenge #158 is Happy Birthday or Anniversary. I've made a birthday card, but I've added the birthday sentiment to the inside as I really liked this "Hello Friend" sentiment from my new Tim Holtz set of stamps my friend Jane gave me for my birthday. Thanks so much, Jane. Love them.
Our sponsors for the challenge are - Sami Stamps  and Bugaboo Stamps
I've been really short on time lately due to wedding preparations and we are also going to have a short holiday just driving interstate and staying with an old friend for a week. Then back home with just 3 weeks left before the wedding. So crafting has been unfortunately the last thing on my mind. I only got my image late afternoon yesterday and then we were out from 6 p.m. till midnight catching up with another old friend for dinner and then a walk through town to find somewhere for coffee. She came in on the bus, so we drove her home and had a tour around her now well established garden. Really beautiful.

Recipe:
Brown cardstock from stash
White cardstock from stash
DP is from Trimcraft - 6x6 paper pad ~ Monochrome
Image from Sami Stamps - Rose Girl
Sentiment if from Tim Holtz ~ Stampers Anonymous ~ Crazy Talk stamp set
I pinched the lace from the pile I bought for wedding decorations, lol

That's it for this post. I have a busy day today catching up on some DT cards that will need to be made and scheduled posts for while I'm away.
Love to see you popping in to the neighborhood  with an entry.

Challenge 4 begins today at Crafty Girls Creations

Good afternoon from Oz. I hope you are enjoying your day. The sun is actually shining today and I think I will get a couple of loads of washing done and possibly dried outside. (Oops, I'll just go and throw the towels in the machine!)
It's another double post day today so please check out my other post later today. I'm trying to split them up by putting this one a bit earlier (not sure if the challenge has gone live yet)
Our theme is as always, an Anything Goes Challenge and our sponsor this challenge is Lacy Sunshine Stamps.
Here is what I came up with....... A birthday card for a friend who enjoys watching movies

Recipe:
SU Basic Black cardstock for the cardbase
White cardstock from stash
Paper is from Bo Bunny 12x12 paper ~ Modern Miss

D/S tape roller and foam dots
Memento Tuxedo black inkpad

I am entering my card into the following challenges:
4 Crafty Chicks - Challenge #263 ~ Birthday
Addicted to Stamps and More - Challenge #161 ~ Anything Goes

The washing machine has finished and is now beeping at me. Doesn't time fly - the cycle takes 18 mins to run through and it's taken me that long to write this up and do all the links as well. Never timed it before, lol.
My fellow teamies and I would love to see you linking up a creation for this challenge and also popping in to our personal blogs and leaving a comment. It's nice to get some feedback.

Hi everyone, it's been a lovely day so far, threw a couple of loads of washing on the line, went to church ( didn't sing in the choir today as I'm still coughing), back home and had toasted cheese sandwiches and I'm off soon to go with a friend to Copic Club at our local craft store. It's really just a get together with other copic users, the lady that runs it draws us a couple of images and helps us with any queries and tips. Our sponsor is Bugaboo Stamps, we did have another sponsor but there was a bit of a mix up with images so I have used one of my own stamps and gone with the Anything Goes Theme.

My Steampunk Design - Challenge #118 at Aud Sentiments

Hi and welcome, it's been another warm day today. I've been out exercising (weights today) and then spent the afternoon with a friend crafting away. We both were colouring Christmas images for use in the lead up to the big day. I've got quite a stash growing but would like to do a few special ones for close friends.
There is a new challenge starting today at Aud Sentiments Challenge Blog. Our theme this fortnight is to use a 2 or 3 word sentiment on the front of your card. An easy challenge and it can be any occasion as well so no hardship coming up with something.
Our wonderful sponsor is The Paper Shelter.

Here is my card.........

Recipe:
SU Crumb cake cardstock
DP was a free image I found on the internet
I also found the clock and cogs image on the net (layered over the paper in right hand corner)
Image is from The Paper Shelter and is called ~ It's Tea Time
Sentiment is from SU Friendly Phrases
Circle Punch
Copic Markers
SU Crumbcake inkpad (I layered a piece of crumbcake cardstock with the edges sponged over the same colour basecard)
Memento Basic Black inkpad
D/S Tape roller
Foam Dots

I think this one turned out quite well and is still in my CAS style. Her hair doesn't show that well in the picture though, might see if I can get a better shot tomorrow.
It's your turn now, I do hope you can join us on the challenge blog. We had a massive turnout last fortnight. It's a wonderful prize from our sponsor and who knows, it could be you being announced in a fortnight's time. The rest of the DT and I would love to see you pop in to our personal blogs and leave a comment. I'm starting to feel a bit like a leper lately - I know you're out there as the stats say there have been  visitors. Thanks to those of you who leave comments, they are very much appreciated and we all love to know what others think about our creations.
Have a good week,
Thanks for stopping by,

Candy is Sweet Challenge #94 - Anything Goes with a twist

A warm day today and unfortunately all spent indoors. Off to church on time this morning only to be detoured the long way with only one lane of traffic instead of 3 and longer waits at traffic lights too. It was a miracle that there was still a park just down from the church as I was on my own and being  in the choir meant I couldn't afford the time parking too far away and walking back to the church. I missed the practice we usually have and luckily the anthem was one we had been practicing. Another huge detour home after church, some grocery shopping, a quick lunch at home and then off to see our daughter, her partner and our new grandbaby. Also caught up with a couple of friends who were visiting them as well. Home late afternoon and now I am busily tapping away getting my post done as I forgot to schedule it. Hubby hasn't come home after leaving here at 9 a.m. on his motorbike so who knows where he actually is. I did get a text message saying he would be home in an hour and that he is ok, lol.
Well, I better get on and share my card for the new challenge starting at 613 Avenue Create this week. It is as usual, Anything Goes with an Optional Twist...... and that is Candy Treats
Our sponsors are Doodle Pantry, Fitztown and Digi Stamps 4 Joy  - I used this sweet little fairy on my card and as I don't celebrate Halloween I made it about friendship still with a candy theme.
Here is my card.......

Recipe:
SU Early Espresso cardstock for the cardbase and circle (it looks black here, but it is really dark brown)
White card from stash for the sentiment and image
DP is a freebie from Create with TLC
Image is from Digi Stamps 4 Joy - Freckle Faced Sitting Fairy
Sentiment is a freebie from Create with TLC
Nestie Die - standard circles - large
Copic Markers
SU Crumbcake inkpad
D/S tape roller
Foam Dots

Please come and join us for the challenge, there are some lovely prizes to be won and we do so love to see all the fabulous creations being dropped off in the neighbourhood.
So.........Let there be candy,,,,,,yum!!!!

MIM#158 Who Needs Therapy

Make It Monday Time!!! It's been mostly a lovely week weather wise but woke up early this morning to heavy rain and felt like staying in bed!!! Couldn't be done though as it's a babysitting day today and little Isaac turned up just after 9 a.m. I've turned the television on to the ABC channel so I can finish off my post. I finally managed to get to church yesterday and the choir were pleased to see me as there were only 5 ladies and no men at all. The anthem was a song I knew so managed to sing it okay. Hubby had gotten up early and went to look at a swap meet and then came back home and got his motorbike and went on a ride with a motorcycle club he is in. He didn't get home till after 6 p.m. so I had a lazy afternoon watching a couple of films. Hope you had a great weekend!!!

Thinking of you with CTMH

Another full day, left here early this morning with my youngest daughter and my future DIL to go look at some dresses to wear to her wedding. I bought a lovely beaded one and of course (and luckily) it's in my favourite colour purple!!! My daughter thought it looked to old for me when it was hanging in the shop but changed her mind when I tried it on. It's been horrible weather here today, very hot and muggy and not ideal for putting clothes on and off half a dozen times trying different outfits. I also bought a bargain dress, not quite as dressy but will still be worn in Vietnam for the meeting of Emma's parents - it was marked down from $100 to only $15!!! Love it.
I was about an hour late for craft this afternoon and so didn't get much done. Tea out with friends and then home here to watch tv and try and stay cool.
I have done another case of a card which I saw in an old magazine, slight variation to the layout and used different dies etc.
Here it is.....

Front of card... I tried scanning but because things are popped out on the front it was all fuzzy so I've tried taking a photo. It's turned out marginally better but it's not blurry!

Inside of card - this one's scanned
Recipe:
Maroon cardstock from stash for the basecard
White card from stash
Scraps of green card
DP from Grace Taylor 12x12 paper pad - Hello Sunshine
Chipboard flower from Craftworks
small flower from stash, inked around the edges with Pink Pirouette
Brad from stash
Nesties - Classic Circles - large and small
               Big Scalloped circles - small
Cheery Lyn Design - Olive branch die

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
(back tomorrow with some, LOL, it's too late)

Thanks for popping in today, Hope you are having a wonderful day and maybe getting some time to craft too!!!

Tweet Friendship -GL59 Gingerloft DT card

Another weekend over!!! Stayed home today and made a DT card and sorted through some boxes, got rid of some scrappy bits of paper and card that I've been holding on to for to long. The recycling bin gets emptied tomorrow so it was a good time to be filling it up. I even found a pattern for a beaded necklace (one using needle and thread) that I bought over a year ago and put somewhere then couldn't find it. It was still in a small pink paperbag so it was lucky that I thought to peek into it before throwing it out!
Anyway, I had better get on and share my card with you. Make sure you come back tomorrow to check out my DT card for Make It Monday. Unfortunately my DT card for Gingerloft clashes a bit with that one so have to do two posts close together.
This fortnight the challenge over at Gingerloft  is to use Ribbon and Bows

Coffee & Friends

I have a new follower, Welcome! I hope we get to catch up on each other's work from time to time.
I got up early this morning and rushed around getting all the goodies I needed to teach an origami box to my class today and then headed out a bit earlier to go to Lincraft as there was a Big Shot advertised cheap and I thought I might get it. I also had to be at a certain place between home and craft to pick up my grandson, so was a bit pushed for time. I got to the shop about 5 mins before it opened and was the first customer. I thought instead of wandering around looking for it, I would just ask. I was not impressed when I got told it was an on-line offer only!!! They had limited stock and I thought I would be out of luck by the time I got home in the afternoon. Little Isaac and I had lunch, I put him to bed for a sleep and then hopped on the computer and thought I would just check. I clicked on purchase and it all went through so you gotta be lucky sometimes.
We had corned beef for tea tonight and just like last week, when I cooked the roast, I got a text message from hubby to say he was going to be late. One of our sons rang up about 7p.m. asking what we were having for tea as he was supposed to have band practise and that fell through but his wife had already made arrangements to go out for the evening (LOL to get away from the noise! probably) so he and I ate together and hubby arrived home about 5 mins after Ryan had left. LOL, our youngest son was here for the roast last week because some plans he had also fell through.  We are very convenient for meals aren't we, LOL.
Well better stop chatting and get on and share the card I've made tonight.

Recipe\:
SU Pumpkin Pie cardstock for basecard and mattes
