Challenge #124 A decorated pencil box for 613 Avenue Create

Another scheduled post but should be home later today and I didn't want to forget to do my post, lol.
This week at 613 Avenue Create our theme is a gift or card for a teacher/educator, and I decided to utilise a plain cardboard pencil box that I purchased for $2 at one of the local cheapie shops. I bought several of these and plan to get my class on Wednesday to decorate them using various stamps and papers. Looking forward to seeing the variations from them.
Our sponsors this week are - All Dressed Up  and Lacy Sunshine Stamps
Here is my pencil box.... I haven't taken pictures of all the sides yet but hopefully will do that Monday after settling back home.
Recipe:
Pencil box from the cheapie shop
SU Early Espresso cardstock
Diecut is from a friend using some scraps of SU DP
Image is from Lacy Sunshine Stamps - Rory's Bag of Flower Pots
Sentiment is from SU - Teeny Tiny Sentiments

Challenge #100 at 613 Avenue Create

It's been a lovely day today, started off this morning with church and singing in the choir, a quick cuppa afterwards and then home for some lunch. I had booked into a Copics club afternoon at our local craft store so gathered up my pens and met a friend there. We coloured a lovely horse freebie digi from Deviant Art - I did one white with grey highlights and another one in brown ~ I'll share them when I get them made up into cards.
Well, today is the 100th challenge at 613 Avenue Create - a milestone for us all. We love to see the wonderful entries each week and glad that those who enter enjoy being part of the challenges.
I think challenges are marvellous opportunities to share our work and also to be inspired by other people's contributions as well. You can pick up tips about layouts, colour schemes and embellishments and you also get to see the many different images (whether they are rubber stamp or digital images) that are available. Digital being one of the easiest to acquire, most instantly, which is fabulous and a real boost to the many talented artists out there too.
This week at 613 Avenue Create we have an optional twist of making a calender, something that we all use or could give to someone else. I know the world of electronics has us all using phones and tablets etc but it's still nice to have something more permanent on the wall or fridge etc.
Our sponsors this week are: Bugaboo, Fitztown and Fred She Said. I was able to select this lovely country scene from Fitztown to use on my creation.

Here is my calender: This photo of the whole calender has not come up very clear so I've added a pic of just the top section so you can see the wonderful image better.

This close up was edited for colour and has come up not quite true. The horse on the right should be more brown like the one above, lol and the other one should be slightly darker. I just can't seem to get it right sometimes. Very frustrating.......and one of my poor little chooks got an eyelet in place of it's head. Didn't think that one through very well!!!!

Recipe:
Chipboard from stash
White card for the image
DP from
Image is from Fitztown - Country Scene 8
Calender purchased from my local craft store
Copic Markers
Gold Border stickers from stash
Eyelets from stash
Rings from stash
Soft twine from stash
Cropadile
D/S tape roller

I am entering my calender in the following challenges:
Hiding in My Craft Room - HIMCR #176 ~ Freestyle
A Crafty Mess - Challenge 1 ~ Anything Goes

Well, it's time for a bit of a relax before thinking about what to cook for dinner. I bought some marinated chicken strips so I think we will have a sort of stir fry dish with a few vegies added.
Our son and DIL who are living here at present have been house sitting for one of our other son and DIL as they have been visiting her brother and SIL interstate for their 30th birthdays. They get home later tonight so our boarders will be back tonight too. Emma is pretty good as she works during the week she cooks up several dishes at a time and they use them for lunches or dinners, me......I usually come up with something on the hop, lol.
My DT teamies and I would love to see you stop by our blogs and leave a comment and please do share your creativity with us this week, we are an Anything Goes Challenge Blog and have an optional twist so you have lots of scope to play with. Hope to see you in the neighbourhood at 613 Avenue Create,
Thanks for stopping by

Little Santa Challenge # 96 at 613 Avenue Create Challenge

The last day of the weekend and it's been a full one for us. We had a wedding to go to yesterday. It was held on the balcony of the Sea Rescue Squadron venue down at West Beach at 5p.m. It was pretty chilly and we were looking towards the sea with the sun in our eyes. It was a fairly quick ceremony as it was done with a marriage celebrant and after watching them sign the registry we all dashed inside for the reception. I had only about 4 hours sleep the night before so I was bushed by 9:30 so we said our goodbyes and headed home. The younger ones had got into the loud music and dancing so you couldn't hear any conversation anyway. This afternoon we had hubby's brother, sister-in-law and one of his nieces over. They came down to see our latest granddaughter. So they all came for lunch which was very late!!! Then they wanted to see our other granddaughter as well, so we rang them up and they popped over as well. It's now 6:45 and the last ones have just left. So this is the first bit of free time I've had all day to pop in and write up my post.
A new challenge has started today at 613 Avenue Create and as usual it is Anything Goes, but......we always like to give you an optional twist and we love it when you take up the challenge. The twist is Holiday Thanks....Create a Thankyou card or Host?Hostess Gift. I chose to make a box to put some goodies in and I love the cute little image from Aurora Wings.............Check it out.
Our sponsors are Aurora Wings and Delicious Doodles.
Here is my make for the challenge....... A friend sent me a picture of a box similar to this and asked if I knew how to make it - I said No but I think it wouldn't be too hard to figure out and voila.... here it is.

Post-it Note Holder - Challenge #86 613 Avenue Create Challenge

Hi all, well it's been a busy few days getting organised for our youngest daughter's baby shower. All my craft gear has been hastily shoved into boxes and bags and put in my craft room. Not sure where all my bits and pieces are so there will be a bit of searching going on from time to time. I really need to pull everything out of the room and reorganise it. Just means making a mess somewhere else in the house until it gets done!!! and I don't think I have the time or the energy to tackle that job (it's definitely a big job, lol.) at the moment. Only four more weeks (maybe, lol) till our new little granddaughter's birth.
Well, I had better get on and share my new creation for the challenge starting today at 613 Avenue Create. This week the theme is as usual Anything Goes and the optional twist is to make a post-it note holder. I was able to choose this lovely teapot filled with flowers from Bugaboo Digi Stamps.
Our sponsors this week are........Bugaboo Stamps, All Dressed Up and Di's Digi Stamps.

Here is my Post-it Note Holder...... a simple one using a piece of velcro dot on the pencil to hold it on. I enjoyed creating this one.

Recipe:
Chipboard
SU Rich Razzleberry cardstock
Blue cardstock from stash
White cardstock from Quill
DP is from Kaisercraft - 61/2x61/2 paper pad ~ Suga Pop
Nestie Dies - Big Scalloped Circle ~ Large and Small
D/S tape roller
Tacky Glue
Velcro Dot
Pencil was a freebie from Ikea (lol)
Wooden ladybug from D.I.Y. Craft - Color Kids
Punch - Karl punch ~ Small Fern

Well better head off, we still have the 3 oldest grandchildren here after a sleepover last night. They've had their lunch and now they are concentrating on pulling the toys out and playing all over the rug here behind me. They are getting picked up shortly I think and I've warned them that whatever gets pulled out has to go back in again. I'm pretty easy going so I'm not all that bothered but it's good to teach them to at least help put it all back in order.
All of the DT would love to see you popping in and commenting and we are looking forward to seeing your wonderful creations this week. Maybe you will get enthusiastic and create something using the optional twist. Such fun seeing all the different types of Post-It Note Holders.
Thanks for stopping by.

Challenge #48 - A Gable Treat Box for 613 Avenue Create

Hi everyone, I hope you are enjoying your weekend. We are on the tail end of Sunday here in Sth. Oz and I am feeling very tired and still very sore. I just want to go and lie down, but hubby informs me we are going to our eldest son's house for tea. I tried to get out of it, but he has our 4WD and that is why we are going there. (to pick it up!) I went in with my DIL and 3 grandchildren to see Father Christmas in the Magic Cave on Friday so my back is just not getting enough rest at the moment to heal. I was supposed to go to craft at my friend Judy's house yesterday afternoon but just was not up to it and had a rest for a couple of hours in bed.
We had to go out to a choir luncheon today and I would prefer just to stay home now and leave the car at our son's place, but it is too hard for them to bring it down as they would have to bring all the kids with them and two cars. Too much hassle!!!
Anyhoo.... it is the start of a new challenge at 613 Avenue Create today and it's a fun one and appropriate to the upcoming Christmas season. We are as usual, an Anything Goes challenge blog but we do have a twist and that is we want to see some form of gift packaging. I've made a gable box - this is one of the projects I taught this term in my Wednesday group. I did start from scratch for this one as I had already decorated the other one with a cute image of 3 penguins. ( hopefully I will get a pic of them some time and share on the blog)

Here is my treat box,,,,,,,
I've taken a pic of the full box straight on, one slightly on the side and also one of the image only to share with you..

MIM#140 Tea with Little Miss Muffet

Hi everyone, a wet and cold day here in Adelaide see the start of a new linky party at Make It Monday and this week we are being sponsored by Little Miss Muffet who are offering the winner 3 of their lovely digis.
Congrats this week go to Ella's Design as our featured artist and to Elena who won the prize from last week. Enjoy!!!
Okay that brings me to my creation for this week.
I've made a 3D cup and used the image I was given called Peggy Sue Hatter.
It was wet yesterday too and I took this late so hopefully the pic is good enough to share. I've printed the image onto white card and also onto some yellow with white dots Designer Paper and then coloured the image with Copics and then paper pieced sections of the hat and the whole dress. Added some pretty flowers and a touch of lace and a little tag (which is actually light pink!!!)

Recipe:
SU Melon Mambo for cup and Pink Pirouette for tag
Dies -     Sizzix Tea Cup 3D
Cheery Lyn Designs - Olive branch
Image is  from Little Miss Muffet  - Peggy Sue Hatter  ~ she's been coloured and paper pieced too.

Copic Markers
Lace from stash
Ribbon for tag from stash
Flowers from stash
Pearl bling from stash
Tacky glue
DS tape roller

I am entering this into the following challenges:

Our Creative Corner - Anything Goes
Annabelle Stamps Blog - ASB162 ~ Anything Goes
Delicious Doodles Challenge - Challenge #35 ~ Anything but a card
Simply Create Too - Challenge #37 ~ Anything Goes
Sister Act Card Challenge - Challenge #6 ~ Anything Goes

I added a bit of spotty net and will add something else later. I think this would work well with chocolates and a gift card or maybe some assorted tea or coffee sachets with a yummy specialty biscuit tucked in. Lots of goodies could be tucked away in this lovely 3D gift!!!

Little Miss Muffet is generously offering three digis to our winning commenter.
Remember, to be in the running to win the prize from our sponsor this week just leave a comment for another entry. Be sure to mention you saw them on Make It Monday. The more entries you comment on the more chances you have of winning!

Now we get on to the important stuff..... it's POTW time - I've chosen two cards more in the CAS style this week.
This cutie is from Helen at Molecraft and can be found here.  Slightly more embellies than pure CAS but love the Birdie Brown image.A delightful card for a little one year old and looks fab with the personalised name too.

I also chose a second entry to feature...... this one is by Lorraine from Lorraine's Loft and can be found here. Love the simple scene and the heart spotlight and the sentiment in the cloud with the pop of colour.

023

So that's it from me. Looking forward to seeing what you all come up with this week.
Hugs,
Sandy

MIM#126 Drummin' with Kenny K

Don't the weeks seem to be getting shorter? It's again time for another Linky Party over at Make It Monday. As usual, you can share anything you want and even maybe share an older post.
Congrats go to Helen as our featured artist and to Jackie C as the winning commenter. Hope you enjoy your prize.
We are being sponsored by the wonderful Kenny K this week and the DT got to play with some fab images. I chose "Buggin Drummer" as I have a son that plays in a band - He drums but also plays some guitar. I decided to try out making this cubed container using CD cases and I will put it away and give it to him for his birthday (not until August, LOL but it's done now, yeah!!!)
A bit heavy on photos this time as I want to show all 4 sides of the cube.

This is the main panel featuring Kenny K's drummer- you can sort of see from this one that it is a cubed box.
There is a thick cardboard base on the bottom to hold it in shape and you could probably keep lightweight objects inside.

The next 3 pictures show the other sides of the cube(sorry it took me ages to get these photos because of the glare on the plastic, I hope you can see them okay)

This one used the sentiment and guitar stamps from a little stamp set called Rock On by Technique Tuesday.
I stamped it on the paper and then again onto some card, fussy cut it out, coloured it and 2D it on to the original image.

Recipe:
Packet of CD cases (the thicker ones)
Black cardstock from Stash
DP from Kaisercraft Paper Pad - Rewind Collection (cut the little circles out from this pack too)
Nestie Dies - Labels Twenty-three and Grommet Tags
Celebrate stamp was from a freebie set with a magazine
Red gems from stash
Copic Markers
Blue inkpad from SU

I am entering this into the following challenges:
Challenges 4 Everybody - Challenge #13 ~ Anything Goes
Catch the Bug challenge blog - February Anything Goes
One Stop Craft Challenge - Challenge 214 ~ Anything Goes
Inspire Me Fridays - 94 ~ Anything Goes
Lady Annes's Challenges - Anything Goes

Now to our wonderful sponsor -

We are SUPER excited to welcome a brand new sponsor this week
Digi and rubber stamps from KennyK are a fun and edgy way to add the perfect dose of attitude and style to all of your creations!
The creator, the artist, the man: KennyK is a NYC-born professional illustrator who has brought his funky-but-slick, urban-influenced look to the cardmaking and papercrafts world.  His signature style can be seen throughout his various collections of sexy pinup babes, sweet 'n sassy girls, cool rockin' dudes, kid’s stuff, retro characters and more at KennyKDownloads.com.

Kenny K are offering our lucky winner

5 digis

of their choice!!

POTW TIME - you all make it terribly hard to choose each week!

I've again chosen two entries from last week - The first one is this unusual shaped tag card from Birgit and you can see more pics on her blog  Cards R Fun   ( I want to try this one out, but will have to work out the folding myself - I think I've got it!)

The second one is this lovely Australiana card made by Margaret and you can see and read about it on her blog  Em's Paperdaze

Hope you pop in to the rest of the DT to see their inspirational cards for this week and also to see if you've been featured on their blogs.
Now we would love to see some more of your wonderful creations so let's get  LINKY!!!!!

Teddy Bo Twisted Gift Card/holder

School holidays are over and our oldest granddaughter went back to school today, Layla goes back to Kindy tomorrow and I get to babysit Isaac.
I went to class at Shirleys this morning with Fran and then popped out afterwards to pick up a couple of dies from the craft shop for Shirley. Fran wanted a new vacuum cleaner so we went looking for that as well.
Adrian and I had a quick tea and then I had to rush off as it was the first rehearsal for Adelaide Harmony Choir for the year. New music to be picked up and also purchased and we already have our  performance scheduled starting with singing at a Peace Forum in February.
It is being held at the Football arena in town where they have been building new stands and clubrooms. We will get to see inside. Lots of money being spent on this venue!!!
I hadn't had any time to sit down during the day to make a card so it had to wait until after I got home from choir.
Here is what I made......

Sorry it was a bit hard to edit out the background due to the shape of the card and because my sentiment sticks off the card on both ends!!! I also chopped a little bit of the corners   :(

Front of card

Inside of card- I'm not quite sure what I am going to put in the middle yet... It has a pocket to put a gift card in but I might also make an insert to fit in to write a message on.

Recipe:
SU Night of Navy cardstock
DP (could be SU) not sure
White card from stash
SU Very Vanilla cardstock for the sentiment
Sentiment is from a freebie set of stamps that came with a magazine

I am entering this into the following challenges:
613 Avenue Cards - Challenge #4 ~ Anythings goes / colour twist Blue, cream and/or white (I've used all 3 colours)
The Teddy Bo Challenge Blog - Challenge #47 ~ Birthdays

Time for me to get some sleep, so will say goodnight and hopefully see you tomorrow.

Lollipop Boy Gift/Treat Box

It was Australia Day today, Our youngest son turned up before I was out of bed to borrow the 4 wheel drive to go pick up a car trailer. Back here and loaded the car he bought from a neighbour (not registered) took that back to his place and then back here again to load another car which he took to the scrap metal depot and sold. So yeah two more vehicles gone and now we just have a truck, 4 WD and 2 cars. I don't know why we need all of these, I only drive one of which I am grateful, LOL.
Hubby is still away, so I spent the rest of the day on my own. Sorted out a couple of boxes and managed to dwindle it down to one box, filled up some more room in the recycling bin and put aside some things to take to craft next week to put on the stall to help raise funds for them. Now I just need to remember to take them.
Well I am just in the process of making a cheesecake, yeah, I know I am up late, I didn't feel like making it earlier and I won't have time in the morning.
So better get a move on and share my make for today.
Another project to put in my class lessons this term.

Recipe:
Brown card from stash
SU Pumpkin Pie
DP from Crafters Choice 12x12 - Primary Basics
Image is from  Dearie Dolls - Boy with sucker
Sentiment is from When The Scrap Hits The Fan
Copic Markers
Ribbon from stash

I may add some challenges when I get a bit extra time,

Thanks for dropping in,
Take care,
Sandy

Cheers Mate

Well the weekend has drawn to a close. Had church this morning and then home to do a couple of loads of washing. I've got a doctor's appointment first thing tomorrow so I will get on and share the project I made today. I'm still making things with a view to teaching them this coming term. So with that in mind, I made this treat container (no treats inside it yet!, I was thinking some beer nuts, peanuts to go with the blokey image!)
I've also decorated the inside of the treat container with a fun Aussie image too.
Here it is...... Sorry it's a bit blurry, I took the photo late this afternoon in not ideal conditions.

It will have a cellophane bag in the middle with the treats and the top of the bag will pop out of the opening at the top of the container and I will probably tie it with some twine to stay with the rustic Australian look!!!

Recipe:
Blue card from stash
white card for the digi images
DP is a yellowy/grreen which doesn't show well here and is from My Mind's Eye
Both images and the sentiment are from a fab digi store called Make It Crafty
(these are my first purchases, they have lots of different ones to choose from)

I am entering this into the following challenges:
Challenges 4 Everybody - Challenge #12 ~ Anything Goes
Frosted Designs - Fabulous Friday Challenge - Give a Gift. ( I haven't bought the beer nuts yet, but this is the packaging for the gift!!! Hope this counts
Simply Create Too - Challenge #29 ~ Anything Goes

Well, hope your weekend was a good one and you are ready for the coming week.

Angel Gift Card Holder

Hi everyone, the grandchildren went home just after lunch and then I ended up having a sleep. I didn't get much sleep as they move around a bit during the night, I kept waking up and rearranging them. A couple of times I found both the girls at the other end of the bed. Little Isaac managed to climb over his sister and end up squashed between both the girls. I did get a bit of sleep, LOL. Adrian and I went out to the hotel for a late tea and then dropped into friends for a chat and a coffee.
I did a bit of blogging and then decided to make this quick gift card holder. I had already coloured the image topper and also cut it out, so it didn't take me long to put this together.
Here it is..... I still have to put a little velcro closure on it.

 Recipe:
Red card from Stash
White card from stash
DP from Graphic 45 (leafy one)
Only had 1/2 sheet of the other one and no name.
Sentiment from SU Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Memento Black inkpad
Digi angel from Beary Wishes
Copic Markers
Word Window punch
Corner rounder punch - X cut
Nestie Dies - circle and petite scalloped circle

Both the girls decided to make a card this morning.
This top one is Layla's (4 yrs old) card. I have been trying to get her not to go over the same spot with the Copics as you can see she has done here, but I think she does a good job of just keeping inside those lines, you should see her concentrating, LOL.

This one is by Amelia (she's 8 yrs old) She has an unusual colouring technique - she goes around the edges and then continues in the same manner until the very last little bit in the middle which she finishes off with a little stroke of the marker!!!

Well better go - it is very late and hubby has been asleep for quite a while.
Thanks for stopping by,
Take Care,
Sandy

Origami Box

Hi and welcome to my blog. Fran and I started back doing classes with our friend Shirley today and made 3 fab cards, some with pre-coloured images and backing papers and one that we coloured. Lots of fun and nice to catch up again.
Hubby has just come home, jumped in the shower, eaten his reheated meal and is now snoring away, It's been a very long day for him and I suppose he will start at normal time tomorrow.
I am not sharing a card tonight but this fab origami box. I'm not sure whether I will leave it as it is or put a bit more decoration on the top. I made the butterfly of the same paper and I think that it blends in a bit too much so may change that later.  I'm planning on teaching my little Wednesday group how to make it when we go back in a couple of weeks time.
So here it is....... you can just see the butterfly in the bottom right hand corner.  It does stand out more in real life but here in the pic I think it doesn't show up well.

Recipe:
SU Designer paper from Paper pack ~ Comfort Cafe
Blue card from stash
Handmade flowers (didn't forget the pearls this time, LOL) from scraps of DP
Dies -  Cheery Lyn Designs - Olive Branch
Lace from stash

Wedding Photo Booth Props

Wow, it's been a long day today. Up early organising some food for our Wednesday craft group concert and luncheon.. Our grandson was dropped off, grabbed some snacks and toys for him and headed straight out so I could arrive at craft a bit early. My friend and I sang two songs together at the concert and had a quick practice before everyone got there. Isaac decided he didn't like the singing and gave his own rendition, tears and all. Wel in the end he settled down and enjoyed the singing and the concert went well. After we had lunch, I dropped my friend home and bought Isaac home for a sleep before his other Mama came to pick him up about 4 p.m.  I then spent some time mucking around cutting these photo booth props out for our daughter to use at her wedding reception on Saturday.
A quick change into my choir outfit and set off in the car to go sing again, this time as one of the choristers of the Adelaide Harmony Choir. We sang at a Hospice. They have a ceremony at the end where they light up a tree in memory of people who have died. Family members can buy a light in memory of their loved ones and the tree stays lit until the middle of January. One of the Electricity companies donates the electricity to run it for free so the proceeds can be given to the Hospice. They provide us with a sumptuous supper. About 10:15 p.m. I told my friend I had better get going and I dropped her back home before coming home myself. A bit more time spent fiddling with the props, downloaded a few more (to do tomorrow) and now I'm sharing a small sample with you.

Sorry chopped off some bits when I scanned, aren't they fun!!!

Tissue Box - DT Project for Tuesday Alchemy

Hi and welcome to my blog.
I've started over at Tuesday Alchemy as a DT for Nov-Dec and today is my first post for them as they have two teams. I will also be sharing again next Tuesday for them.
Today's challenge is for Anything but a card and I have made a tissue box and I've added some cute little robot digis from Birdie Brown. I think these go so well with the embossed cogs on the side panels.
The challenge is being sponsored by Robyn's Fetish and also Birdie Brown and with Christmas coming up soon I'm sure lots of you are starting to make some homemade papercraft goodies that you could enter in the challenge.

Here are 2 pics of my decorated tissue box....... I've kept it pretty simple just the embossing and the images as I want it as a gift for a boy! I used 2 images and repeated them twice around the 4 sides.

Recipe:
SU Crumbcake cardstock
Tim Holtz embossing folder
Digi images from Birdie BrownLovely Robot and Robot with a balloon
SU Close to Cocoa inkpad
Copic Markers

I am entering this into the following challenges:
(hope to be back with some later)

Well, I'm off to choir tonight so am scheduling this for when I am out. I look forward to popping in to some of your blogs and checking out your wonderful entries, I wonder what you will make?

Sandy

Easel Card on top of a box

Hello and welcome to my blog today. Hope things are well in your part of the world. We have another friend staying with us for two nights this week. She is down from the country to do an extra training course to further her nursing qualifications. This one is to do with blood. She works in a country hospital and will soon have fairly high grade skills which means she can be able to deal with a lot more things that crop up without having to contact a doctor. (doctors are not always at the hospital but have to be called in when necessary .)
I went off to craft this morning after picking little Isaac up. I was there early and then only one of my ladies turned up (about 15-20 mins late) - there should have been four of them. Well that meant I taught 1 on 1 which in the end was needed to make this little box . I had envisioned them all making an easel card as well to adhere to the top. LOL, but we ran out of time.
So here is what I made, I decided to make the card with no stamping except for the sentiment.

Front of Card

Altered Notebook - MIM #106 DT project

It's Make It Monday time once again. I really enjoy seeing so many fabulous entries during the week and would love to see even more!!!!
Congratulations to Tanya on being our featured entrant this week and to Teresa who is the winning commenter, I hope you enjoy your prize from  last week's sponsor.

Our Sponsor for this week is the fab Bugaboo Digi Stamps  and you can see the wonderful prize they are offering further down in this post.
I was lucky enough to be able to use Edward Elephant - Flower which you can find here at Bugaboo Digi Stamps
I decided to make an altered notebook this week instead of a card.  To do this you have to take the spiralled binding out and then decorate the front cover, punch the holes again and (the hard bit, LOL) then put it back together. Not too hard as long as you keep the pages all lined up and once you start it threads back quite well.
Here is a picture of the finished notebook:

Sorry the close up doesn't look quite right - a bit dark and it doesn't show the shading of the greys.

Recipe:
A spiral bound notebook from stash
DP from
Image from Bugaboo
Flowers and brad from stash
Copic markers
Sentiment from Kanban
SU Cherry Cobbler inkpad
Word Window Punch

I am entering this into the following challenges:
Crafts and Me - Challenge 100 ~ add a flower

My Mum's Craft Shop - Challenge #73 ~ Anything Goes
Challenges 4 Everybody - Challenge #2 ~ Anything Goes

Tissue box and secret box

Easter wishes to all visiting today, hope you all have a blessed Easter. It's been a long day. I didn't do a huge amount, but got the dishes done. Yesterday I had a problem with the car and my son knows someone who works at Holdens and he offered to look at it for him so he pinched my car for about an hour. It has been coming up quite often that the stability control is off and then yesterday it flashed up check engine and stayed on all the way home. I was a bit anxious about driving it through all the heavy traffic to get back home. My son's friend said the car is okay but it is a glitch in the computer so deleted them so that it stopped appearing on the dashboard and also found that there is a wire upgrade available for the car so that should be done too. It was a relief to know that there is nothing major wrong with the car. I spent the afternoon clearing all my craft bits and pieces from the dining room table/room as the whole family were coming for tea. Roast pork and all the trimmings and hot cross buns to follow. We have a very small cottage about 100 miles away in a country town left to us by my husband's Mum and we used to go quite regularly for weekends up there, better in the winter and you can have a campfire in the back yard and sit around talking or cooking out there. Well most of the family are going to be there for various parts of Easter so my youngest daughter thought we should get together today so we could all be here. I am staying home as I will be singing in the choir at church tomorrow for the Good Friday service and then again on Easter Sunday. I am also now looking after our two dogs and my eldest son's dog as they have gone camping and then maybe tomorrow I get another son's dog as well. The neighbours are going away tomorrow as well and have two cats that I am now feeding and letting in and out of the house twice a day.
I have had no time to craft so I'm going to share some pics of the tissue box cover and the little secret box I made. One tissue box is pale blue with white trim and the other is all white - both are embossed. I've also included two pictures from my son and new DIL's wedding.
Thanks for stopping by,
Take care and have a happy and safe Easter.
Sandy
