Don't the weeks seem to be getting shorter? It's again time for another Linky Party over at Make It Monday. As usual, you can share anything you want and even maybe share an older post.
Congrats go to Helen as our featured artist and to Jackie C as the winning commenter. Hope you enjoy your prize.
We are being sponsored by the wonderful Kenny K this week and the DT got to play with some fab images. I chose "Buggin Drummer" as I have a son that plays in a band - He drums but also plays some guitar. I decided to try out making this cubed container using CD cases and I will put it away and give it to him for his birthday (not until August, LOL but it's done now, yeah!!!)
A bit heavy on photos this time as I want to show all 4 sides of the cube.
This is the main panel featuring Kenny K's drummer- you can sort of see from this one that it is a cubed box.
There is a thick cardboard base on the bottom to hold it in shape and you could probably keep lightweight objects inside.
The next 3 pictures show the other sides of the cube(sorry it took me ages to get these photos because of the glare on the plastic, I hope you can see them okay)
This one used the sentiment and guitar stamps from a little stamp set called Rock On by Technique Tuesday.
I stamped it on the paper and then again onto some card, fussy cut it out, coloured it and 2D it on to the original image.
Recipe:
Packet of CD cases (the thicker ones)
Black cardstock from Stash
DP from Kaisercraft Paper Pad - Rewind Collection (cut the little circles out from this pack too)
Nestie Dies - Labels Twenty-three and Grommet Tags
Celebrate stamp was from a freebie set with a magazine
Red gems from stash
Copic Markers
Blue inkpad from SU

I've again chosen two entries from last week - The first one is this unusual shaped tag card from Birgit and you can see more pics on her blog Cards R Fun ( I want to try this one out, but will have to work out the folding myself - I think I've got it!)
The second one is this lovely Australiana card made by Margaret and you can see and read about it on her blog Em's Paperdaze
Hope you pop in to the rest of the DT to see their inspirational cards for this week and also to see if you've been featured on their blogs.
Now we would love to see some more of your wonderful creations so let's get LINKY!!!!!
Thanks for stopping in and I would love it if you left a comment so I know you've popped in,

Sandy, this is AWESOME! You know, I could kick myself now, but when everything started going digital, I threw all those disc holders away! GASP..(stupid, stupid, stupid) and now I see everyone making the coolest stuff with them. I wonder if I go to a flea market if I couldn't find a dozen for a dime...I hope!
ReplyDeleteYour son is going to be bonkers over this wonderful box you've designed him. That would make a super birthday centerpiece too!
