Hi everyone, another day at home today with just a quick pop out for lunch with our oldest son and the two youngest grandchildren. Jase came to pick them up just before lunch and so we decided to go out for something to eat. When we came back here he was still tired from his night out and then going to a boxing session at the gym so he and little Isaac had a sleep for about an hour while Layla and I crafted. She took home two cards, one she made yesterday and one from today.
Our youngest son popped in early this morning with his new fiancee to show me her ring. Very pretty! They are getting married in June. She is Vietnamese and so we are going to Vietnam for the wedding.
Lots to sort out before then.
Anyway as usual I'm up late making my card. I did make one earlier with Layla but will share that another time.
Here is the one I made tonight....
Front of card - (sorry it's a bit dark, probably because of the pearls and not sitting flat on the scanner - might be able to take a photo of it instead tomorrow)
The image was stamped onto the cream card and then again onto a green DP and cut out and then paper pieced over the top. I coloured the top underneath with a purple Copic Marker, I also coloured her hair
Inside of card - (slightly better!)
Recipe:
Black cardstock from stash
Cream coloured card from stash
DP from Kaisercraft 61/2" paper pad called "Blae & Ivy"
Image is a stamp from a set from Darkroom Door called Just My Style
Sentiment is from another stamp set - I stamped a couple of them off a few days ago and now I have mislaid the packet!!! I stamped the words into a little ornate frame stamp (same set) and then just trimmed it down to the line part of the frame.
Copic Markers for hair and purple top
Memento Black inkpad
Light Purple Pearls
Photo Corner Punch
I am entering this into the following challenges:
Speedy Fox and Friends - Challenge 145 - paper Piecing
Word Play Saturday - 1 January ~ Anything
Okay, off to bed, I have to be up for church in the morning, The choir will be singing in the service so I need to get there a little bit earlier.
Thanks for stopping by,
Take Care,
Sandy
