Challenge 21.... A Get Well Card with Sassy Studios
Hi everyone, it is another cold day here in Adelaide, no rain yet but the sky has been threatening all day. I didn't feel 100% this morning but still went off to my PT session. She was kind on me and let me lie down on the bench press and do weights that way instead of getting up and down for the half hour. We did interval training and various weights - still came away with a headache, but I took a couple of tablets when I got home and it has settled down for which I am grateful.
Today brings a new challenge at Crafty Girls Challenges Blog and I do hope you will find time to link up one of your creations. We had 352 entries for the challenge that has just finished. If you get time to do some blog hopping, there were lots of fabulous cards to check out!!!
Our sponsor for this challenge is Sassy Studio Designs and I got to design my card using this fabulous image.
Here's my card.......
Recipe:
SU Tempting Turquoise cardstock for the square basecard and diecut and punched tag
Purple cardstock from stash (had this quite a while now, lol, and slowly getting through the pack of 100 sheets)
Textured White Linen cardstock from Quill for the image and sentiment
DP is from Merci 6x6 mini stack (also a long time stash item!)
Image is Get Well Sassy from Sassy Studio Designs

Nestie Die - Adorning Squares
Punches - SU Word Window and complimentary tag punch (can't remember the name of this one)
Copic Markers

I'm off to do a bit more colouring as I have another couple of cards to finish off before the weekend and I have a busy day tomorrow so need to fit it in sometime today or tomorrow night. Hope your day has been a good one. Don't forget to pop over to the challenge blog and enter the challenge. We would love to see you there.

Little Teddy in bed Get Well Card
Wow, it's March!!! and that is exactly what time is doing at present! I had the two youngest grandchildren today and as usual Layla was quite keen to get her brother fed and off to bed just after lunch so she could sit down and make a card. I keep forgetting to take a photo but she chose a little teddy dressed as a magician. She chose one teddy and I gave her the whole sheet of plastic which has about 12 different teddy bears on it and by the time she left the craft room to go and sit at the little table she had changed her mind 3 times. I think I actually asked her if she wanted to do the magician in the first place!
Well I'm on a bit of a teddy bear kick too at the moment as this is my second card in a row with one on. Last night's card was a Christmas one and this one is a Get Well Card.
I've only done the front of the card so far as I've been busy tonight with a couple of DT images - got one card finished and have two more on the go!!!
Anyway, here is the card..... the card is a very pale blue and didn't scan that well. I distressed the edges of the image as well.
Recipe:
SU Bashful Blue cardstock from my scrap mountain
SU DP- stripey one (also a scrap so can't remember which pack it was out of)
Spotted DP is from My Mind's Eye
Image is from a Kanban clear set of stamps
Sentiment is from a boxed set by Hero Arts called Friendly Greeting
Copic markers
Black Memento inkpad
Punches - large oval and scalloped oval
I am entering this into the following challenges:
(back later with some)
If you've stopped by I would love it if you would leave a comment so I can pop over and visit you too.
Hope you are looking forward to the weekend, Have a good one,
Take Care,
Sandy

Thanks for stopping by and also for comments that you've left. Much appreciated.

Everything That You Ever Wanted to Know About Bugaboo Stamps: A Short Essay

That was two years ago. Today Bugaboo Stamps is one of the leading companies in digital images, and we're still growing! From seriously snarky to sugary sweet to sublimely soulful all the way over to the other side of the super sexy spectrum, you're bound to find all that you need and more to create your paper projects. Jodie works very hard to provide New Releases and Freebies every week!
If your taste runs to rubber (and you know who you are), you can find Bugaboo Stamps atTotally Stampalicious. And finally, join the Bugaboo Stamps DT for weekly challenges at Catch the Bug.
Bugaboo Stamps are offering a very generous prize of winner's choice of 7 single digis!
My POTW is this cute card - Isn't this sweet and made for a special little boy too by Karen over at Kaleidoscopic Sparkles and you can see it and read about it here

Get Well Soon
Hi everyone, it's two more weeks today till our son's wedding and it's been another warm day but not as bad as yesterday. We even had a few drops of rain around about
5 p.m. although it dried up quickly. I haven't done much today. I went off to church this morning and it was family service so the choir didn't sing so got to sit in the congregation for the whole service. Home again, made some lunch and then had a bit of a nap, always feel horrible after sleeping during the day, but I was tired. Our daughter and her boyfriend came over to wish our dog a Happy Birthday, her dog and mine are sisters so Monica came as well to see her sister, LOL. Missy is now 6 years old.
Well, you know me, another late night, so here is my card to share,
The basecard is SU Wisteria Wonder and the DP is from My Mind's Eye. I adhered the DP to panels of SU Very Vanilla. The diecut is from a Nellie Snellen die and also cut in Very Vanilla. The image is from Phindy's Place and I coloured it with Copic Markers. To finish off I added 3 flowers and a button with a bit of linen crochet thread through it. I haven't done the inside yet.
I would like to enter this into the following challenges"

I hear Life's been a bit of a Pill
Hi all, an early post as I am stuck at home with my cold and can't go to craft this afternoon.
I thought I would try another card for the challenge over at Less Is More - Week 36
Another week and another challenge, the theme for which is - COCKTAIL
Mandi and Chrissie said let your imagination run, so I did.
I've based my card on a "Pill Cocktail". I googled for pill containers and came up with this image which I printed out onto card and coloured with Copics. I also embossed a border around 4 sides of the front. It doesn't show very well. I then came up with the sentiment and typed into a Word document and printed out as well. On the inside of the card I have adhered a white topnote diecut and the words "Hope you're feeling Better real Soon".
Thanks for looking,
Take Care

Because I Care
Greetings from Adelaide, welcome to everyone that is popping in to find out what I've made today. Welcome also to new follower Anne-Marie who has become my 25th follower, I started off with 1 and thought that would be about it, so am happy to see that people sometimes find cards that interest them.
Had a quiet day today, cut a few bits and pieces with the cuttlebug and stamped a couple of images and made this one for today's post.
Image and sentiment are from SU set "Because I Care" Base card is a light purple from stash, the die cut is a pale greeny/blue with a piece of white card behind it, I stamped parts of the hydrangea stamp onto this as a background using a Marvy Marker and also distressed the edges with the same colour. Image is also stamped with the same blue.I used a blender pen to drag the ink from the image to colour it in. Ribbon came from stash also, a mixed packet of purple ribbons. I love the little scalloped edge!. A bit of pearl bling in the corner and voila it is finished.
Take care,
Sandy

I stamped this bear yesterday and put the card together this morning. It is on a white base card, I've just used a postal pack behind it to define the edges of the card,
