MIM#151 Baby - Oh Boy, Oh Boy with Meljen's Designs

Well the week hasn't really flown for me as I'm still suffering from that bothersome back pain, both sides have been playing up and then yesterday I woke up feeling much better and decided my poor hair has been waiting long enough for a bit of colour and decided to muddle along and dye it myself. I usually get my daughter to do it but thought she might be busy with her own stuff. Hubby had gone off to the country on Saturday afternoon and came home Sunday evening so I had been picking up pieces of wood for the fire too which were probably a bit too big for me to handle with a sore back. The outcome was going off to bed very sore again. So far this morning it is not too bad, so I had better behave myself. I'm babysitting our 2 year old grandson, but he is no problem and I very rarely have to pick him up as he can climb up onto the lounge and the bed. Changing his nappy is a slight problem but if I get it done quickly it's not too bad.
Well.... that's my grumble for the day, LOL. and now onto happier things!!!
Make It Monday linky party begins again today and this week we are being sponsored by Meljen's Designs Digital Stamps. They are offering the winner 4 single digis, a fab prize.
I chose to play with this cute little dragon image. I think I am the only one out of the DT that thought he was wearing a little top. See the marks around the neckline, looked the collar of a little jumper, so I've coloured it accordingly. Either way, he is very cute!
Congrratulations to Monica as our featured artist and also to Tracey who won the prize offered last week. Enjoy your images!

MIM#148 with Milk Coffee Digital Images

Good morning, hope you have all had a relaxing weekend and are all ready for the start of a new linky party at Make It Monday this week.
I've been away in Vietnam recently so have scheduled a couple of the recent MIM posts and missed out altogether on last week's  linky party. I'm glad to be back home and it's taken me all week to get back into the swing of things and feel rested, LOL. Still have sore knees and one of my ankles is not wonderful. I had a fall after getting into a boat and climbed too many stairs too. Hopefully they will settle down soon, have been rubbing some "Deep Heat" ointment into them and I think it's helping a little bit.
Our son came home today and has had to leave his new bride in Vietnam while they wait out her Visa application. It is going to take about 9 months. It's crazy when we have so many illegal entrants coming in all the time and legitimate people are made to wait. This is a long time to be parted when you've only been married a short time!!!  He is now planning to go back before Christmas - he is nearly finished a second apprenticeship which means he will add car mechanic to his already gained motorbike mechanics certificate.

Well back to Make It Monday.... this week we are being sponsored by Milk Coffee and I had this fab image to work with. It's called Soya takes a nap and I enjoyed colouring this little cutie in.

Here is my card......

Recipe:
SU Gumball Green Cardstock
SU
White card from stash
Image is  Soya takes a nap
Sentiment is a freebie from a recent magazine purchase
DP is from Prima Marketing 6x6 paper pad called "Believe"

is our sponsor this week and I had the opportunity to work with one of their adorable images.

They are generously offering our winner

3 Digis
of their winners choice

Remember, to be in the running to win the prize from our sponsor this week just leave a comment for another entry. Be sure to mention you saw them on Make It Monday. The more entries you comment on the more chances you have of winning!

I've chosen a couple of entries to showcase for POTW from last weeks entry. The first is this beauty from Becky of Bouncy, Flouncy, Fun, Fun, Fun and can be found here

and the second is this pretty, feminine card from Linda of  Hands to Work..... Heart  to Love and can be found here

Okay, enough from me, get out your crafting supplies and get your mojo going and show us your fabulous creations. My team mates and I are looking forward to dropping by your blogs and leaving you some blog love. Don't forget to drop by the fabulous MIM team blogs and let them know you appreciate their work too.

Sail Away with Me

Well, I'm back home after nearly 3 weeks in Vietnam. We saw our son and DIL celebrate their wedding with a traditional Vietnamese wedding and then a huge reception in the evening. It certainly is a big affair, lots of organisation and grand scale celebrating. We then had a holiday which I am not sure that I really enjoyed all that much finishing off with a cruise for 2 nights in Halong Bay. That was relaxing at the end of the trip except I fell over getting into the smaller transfer boat and hurt my knees, hip and arm and then on the same day when I was trying to get out of the same boat onto the bigger one, I lost my grip trying to pull myself up onto the seat to step off and bruised my leg from knee to ankle!!!! The scenery and tranquility and the five star food made up for the mishaps.
We got home Sunday and I was back into babysitting on Monday, craft Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. More babysitting on Wednesday, with a few unscheduled hours again Thursday morning and the usual time today. I have all 3 grandchildren for tea tonight as Mum is going off with some friends to the movies and dad is popping in after work. He hasn't been very well the last few days. The little tackers want fish fingers for tea but not sure what we are having yet.
Thought  I had better get back into the swing of things and get my craft gear out and make a card to share.
Here is what I came up with....

Recipe:
SU Real Red cardstock for the card base which I made a Z fold
White cardstock from stash
DP is from a Basic pad of  papers
Boat, anchor, waves and sentiment are from Do Craft - I stamped onto the card, then again onto a piece of white card and then just the one sail onto red cardstock. I coloured the second image and cut out and layered over the first, cut the red sail out and adhered. I then created a little red flag, made the mast longer and attached the flag. I thought the little sail boat looked odd without a sail!!!
I made a bit of an horizon and sponged some clouds in the sky before stamping the sentiment.
Copic Markers
SU Ballet Blue inkpad
Bling from stash

Well better go, Papa is in the family room with the grandchildren and I can hear the middle one crying because her little brother has just pulled her hair. Oh the joys of babysitting.... she's still crying, oops, just went quiet!!!  This is a good thing, LOL.

Hope some of my followers are still out there and don't think I have abandoned my blog. Hope to "see" some of you popping in. Will share a couple of traditional wedding pics in the next few days.
Hugs,
Sandy
