Well, I'm back home after nearly 3 weeks in Vietnam. We saw our son and DIL celebrate their wedding with a traditional Vietnamese wedding and then a huge reception in the evening. It certainly is a big affair, lots of organisation and grand scale celebrating. We then had a holiday which I am not sure that I really enjoyed all that much finishing off with a cruise for 2 nights in Halong Bay. That was relaxing at the end of the trip except I fell over getting into the smaller transfer boat and hurt my knees, hip and arm and then on the same day when I was trying to get out of the same boat onto the bigger one, I lost my grip trying to pull myself up onto the seat to step off and bruised my leg from knee to ankle!!!! The scenery and tranquility and the five star food made up for the mishaps.
We got home Sunday and I was back into babysitting on Monday, craft Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. More babysitting on Wednesday, with a few unscheduled hours again Thursday morning and the usual time today. I have all 3 grandchildren for tea tonight as Mum is going off with some friends to the movies and dad is popping in after work. He hasn't been very well the last few days. The little tackers want fish fingers for tea but not sure what we are having yet.
Thought I had better get back into the swing of things and get my craft gear out and make a card to share.
Here is what I came up with....
Recipe:
SU Real Red cardstock for the card base which I made a Z fold
White cardstock from stash
DP is from a Basic pad of papers
Boat, anchor, waves and sentiment are from Do Craft - I stamped onto the card, then again onto a piece of white card and then just the one sail onto red cardstock. I coloured the second image and cut out and layered over the first, cut the red sail out and adhered. I then created a little red flag, made the mast longer and attached the flag. I thought the little sail boat looked odd without a sail!!!
I made a bit of an horizon and sponged some clouds in the sky before stamping the sentiment.
Copic Markers
SU Ballet Blue inkpad
Bling from stash
Well better go, Papa is in the family room with the grandchildren and I can hear the middle one crying because her little brother has just pulled her hair. Oh the joys of babysitting.... she's still crying, oops, just went quiet!!! This is a good thing, LOL.
Hope some of my followers are still out there and don't think I have abandoned my blog. Hope to "see" some of you popping in. Will share a couple of traditional wedding pics in the next few days.
Hugs,
Sandy
