Cat with a Cake
It's been a hot day today but we are in for rain the next few days and as I'm typing, I can hear thunder, so will try and hurry up so I can get off the computer, people say you shouldn't have them turned on during a thunderstorm.
It's school holidays and most of our little Thursday group are either away, or home with kids so I cancelled it. I finally found those dies I had been looking for, yeah, now I can cut some poinsettias as well a few other goodies. There were 6 different dies and I found them stacked under a pile of things that I probably haven't touched for well over 6 months!!! Shocking, huh? That's what happens when you buy new things and get preoccupied with creating with them instead of what you already have, LOL.
Anyway, here is my card for today:
Front of card
Inside of card
Recipe:
Brown cardstock from stash ( has been in my stash for at least 2 years!)
SU So Saffron cardstock
White card from stash
DP is from My Mind's Eye
Brown and White Gingham ribbon from stash
Nestie Dies - Oval and Scalloped rectangle
small butterfly sticker which is being recycled from a card I received in a swap
Image is a free digi from Spyder
Copic Markers
I am entering this into the following challenges:
(back later with a couple)
I can hear the rain now but not the thunder but am going to get off now just in case,
Thanks for stopping by and I enjoyed the comments left on my last post too. Thankyou!

You're a Star - Boy and Dog
Well it was a warm spring day today but a bit windy and not good again for those suffering hay fever. I took the two grandchildren out to my Mum's today (their great Mama). We had lunch with her and I picked up a big bag of oranges that she had picked for us. My hubby enjoys eating and juicing them, so he will probably have the bulk of them. I had one tonight after tea and it was very juicy.
Our DIL had a busy day at work so was late picking the kids up. Layla was keen to see her Mum as she was away over the weekend interstate seeing the football - she left Friday and got home late Sunday and then she went off to a funeral, leaving Monday and getting back late Tuesday night. We kept the kids again last night and so they haven't seen much of her this week at all. Layla wanted to make cards again today, so I helped her make two boys cards for her birthday stash. She must have at least 6 by now!!!
I didn't have to go out tonight so we had a quiet night home.
Well here is the card I made tonight:

Embroidered Christmas Tree Trio
No craft today with Shirley as we decided it was best to cancel while Michelle (her daughter)and her family were down from Queensland for a visit. Our two youngest grandchildren stayed overnight as our DIL had to go to a funeral in Mount Gambier and as it is a long drive from here in Adelaide, she went yesterday afternoon. The funeral was at 11 a.m. so it was a long day and she got back late tonight so we offered to keep the children another night as I was babysitting tomorrow anyway and it saves her a bit of time in the morning. She can go straight to work and Amelia can go with her. She works for Scripture Union and their office is in a house, so it's a bit of a rabbit warren. They are family orientated so there is no problem with Amelia going with her and she can keep herself amused with games etc and she can always read the children's books that they sell. They have display ones there.
Fran and I (and the kids) popped out to a craft shop, it's their birthday and they are having a progressive sale. something different each day. They had embossing folders for only $2.50 today and 30% off the Kaisercraft range of stamps. I needed to get quite a few of my copic markers refilled too.
We stopped at a little cafe for lunch and then back home here - Isaac went off to bed and Layla played with the Duplo. Our eldest daughter called in to use my washing machine. They have moved house over the weekend and she hasn't got a washing machine yet. She was renting with our other daughter and using her washing machine. She got rid of her own as it seemed silly to have two.
Choir practice tonight!!! We've started on the Christmas music and also rehearsed some music for The Lord Mayor's Gala Concert which is next Tuesday and we are one of the performers. Also we are singing soon at one of the big city churches for a service put on for the Heart Foundation where they remember all the people that have died from heart failure during the year. They invite the relatives and light candles for each person who died. They have a balcony at the entrance of the church and we will be singing from there. The congregation don't actually see us only hear the voices floating out. It's a lovely service.
Now that I've been chatting away, I'd better get on and share my card too.
I've made a double slider card for my Christmas Stash!!! and I decorated using paper embroidery in the form of 3 trees
Here are the scans -
Front of double slider card
Right hand side when pulled out
Left Hand side when pulled out
Sorry, I should have put something dark behind it to define edges of the white card for you, but it's late and I want to head off to bed soon.
Recipe:
DCWV textured cardstock for the basecard
White card from stash for the topper and also the slider sections
Plastic bag - to created the slider mechanism
Mettalic threads for stitching.
Tree Prick Pattern
Punch - small circle
Hole Punch
Ribbon from stash
Stamps from SU More Merry Messages
SU Early Espresso inkpad
Gotta go, thanks for stopping by and to those who left messages while they were visiting, thankyou, they are all read and appreciated very much.
Take Care,
Sandy

The Adamant Golfer - Focus MIM #108
I can't believe how fast the weeks are flying by now as we head for the end of the year. A new week and the start of another fab linky party at Make It Monday.
Again we saw oodles of wonderful cards and projects last week which makes it so hard to pick one to showcase each week.
Congratulations to Jen Leeflang on having your card featured this week and also to Desire for being the winning commenter.
This week we are being sponsored by Digi Doodle Shop and you can see the fab prize they are offering at the bottom of my post.
I was able to choose a design to work with and I found this golfing image that intrigued me. It's called The Adamant Golfer - Focus and you can find it here
This is what I came up with:
Front of Card- Centre step card - I altered dimensions to make a rectangular card to accomodate my rectangular image.
Inside of Card
Recipe:
SU Early Espresso cardstock for the center step card ( I changed the dimensions of the original template to create a rectangular card to suit my image.
SU Crumb Cake cardstock
DP from stash (not sure where I got this one from, but it's been in my stash for a while!)
Nestie Die - Curved Rectangles
Image - The Adamant Golfer - Focus from Digi Doodle Shop
Row of Golfers is a stamp from SU set ~ The Back Nine
Sentiment is from SU set ~ On the Green
Copic Markers
SU Early Espresso inkpad,
SU Ballet Blue inkpad
SU Certainly Celery inkpad
I cut a couple of the golfballs and tees from the DP and adhered to card to make them firmer and used as embellies for the front of the card.
Bling - from stash
I am entering this into the following challenges:
No Matter Which Challenge - Challenge #2 ~ Die Cuts and/or punches
Digi Designs Challenge Blog - Challenge ~ use more than 1 diecut or punch
By the Cute And Girly - September Challenge ~ Boys/Men
Tabitha's Design Challenge Blog - Challenge#2 Mens Sports Cards

Here's our sponsor for this week,
DigiDoodle Shop is
the results of a mother and daughter’s love for the arts and crafts.
It was started a little over 3 years ago with a little more than 100
stamps, and has since then grown to almost 500 stamps. Joy (the mother
of this team) designs realistic images, while Judy (aka/daughter) loves
the “fun side of life”, and create images with a cartoon flair. Having
these two complimenting styles have enabled
DigiDoodle Shop to offer a wide variety of stamps.
The DigiDoodle Shop is giving away a $10.00 Store Gift Certificate to the lucky random winner!
Now it's your turn to start creating. Love to see your artwork over at MIM #108 and don't forget to visit some of the other blogs for your chance to win the prize on offer from Digi Doodle Shop.

Butterfly girl
Well, it's all over. All that singing rehearsal is finished and the concert went well, but it was a long afternoon. We had to get there at 12:45 p.m. and the concert started at 2:30 p.m. and finished about 5 p.m. We did some warm up exercises and then had to climb 3 flights of stairs to have a run through of some of the music with the orchestra, back down the stairs for a short while then had to climb them again to go on stage. We sat through 3 pieces of music by the orchestra and then sang our songs with our pianist and then we sang "The Bavarian Dances" with the orchestra before having an interval. Yep, down all those stairs again only to come back up about 10-15 mins later!!!! I have bad knees so mainly have a problem going down so I was pretty sore by the end of the day. More music by the orchestra and the big finish, Hiawatha's Wedding. Very dramatic.
I also managed to squeeze in 45 mins before going to the concert to catch up with Michelle, she is the owner of the Make It Monday Blog and is in Adelaide visiting her Mum (Shirley, a DT on the blog) and her Dad. The get together was supposed to be longer but I had mixed up the dates and had to leave early for the concert.
Next Tuesday night we will be back at rehearsals, this time getting ready for a Christmas concert.
Well, I had better push on and finish this post as I still have my Make It Monday one to write and schedule.

Art Deco Woman
A quiet day at home for me. I had a small sleep in this morning and then got up and moving. Did another couple of loads of washing and then the weather changed and we had several small showers of rain - I got one load inside before it rained and had to leave the second outside. The sun came back out and the second lot of washing dried!!!. I pottered around still looking for those dies (no luck) and then sat down for a while to make my DT card for Make It Monday. Tonight I also made this one,

No time for crafting tonight
Tonight was the last practice before our concert on Sunday afternoon, It's been a long week - 4 nights out at rehearsals. I looked after the two youngest grandchildren today as well and they went home early as their other grandma came and picked them up. Our DIL is travelling with a girlfriend interstate to see the Adelaide Crows play. She is hoping they will win and go into the finals. So... the 3 children are staying with Grandma
Shirley overnight and then back home to our son in the morning. Lisel doesn't get home till Sunday.
I was tired when I got home tonight and the creative juices are at standstill so no card today.
I caught up with friends Shirley and Doug for a quick cup of coffee first thing this morning and then came back home. Hubby was home as he had taken the day off to go to a funeral in Murray Bridge, an hour away.
It was the mother of someone he went to school with and she was also a friend of his Mum's. He was still home when we came back from the cafe so he took the children for a walk up our street and back.
Well I'm off for some sleep, so I wish you goodnight and have a good weekend.
Take Care,
Sandy

Have a Sweet Birthday
Today was a lovely Spring Day although a couple of my friends had problems with Hay Fever. I spent the morning catching up on some washing and sorting a little bit more in my craft room. I am very slowly getting rid of some bits and pieces especially plastic packaging as I put things away. The pile of boxes in my lounge is getting smaller too as I am trying to be a bit ruthless and get rid of magazines etc that I just know I won't use. I took a pile of cross stitch books to craft on Wednesday and put on the trading table. I do like cross stitch, but I just know I will not get around to using any of the patterns in the book and I already have a couple of kits put away for use later on and a couple of those UFO's lurking in the craft room too!
Our little craft group today had all of us there for a change, so we totalled 6 people. We didn't get much done as last week I introduced Jane to the world of Text Twist 2 and she downloaded it onto her i-pad. Today I showed another one of the girls who was interested and then she and I both played for a little while.
Our youngest daughter popped in briefly this morning just before I left to buy lunch and afternoon tea for craft. We had a meal out tonight with friends. They are off for a few weeks holiday on Monday so will miss our regular night out.
I did end up going to church choir practice - so far I've had one night at home this week!!!
So onto the card I've just finished.

Vintage Childhood
Hello again, it's that time of night again when my son and hubby are snoring away and the two dogs are tucked up in their little beds in the laundry and there is just me and the hum of the computer!!! It has been a funny day today weather wise with rain this morning and then a lovely spring day this afternoon and then back to being a bit cool tonight. Enough to make me go and put another layer of clothes on.
I picked up Isaac this morning and then went and picked up a friend who didn't have a ride to craft today. We had to stop at the chemist to fill a couple of prescriptions for me on the way to craft. I pick up Isaac about 30 mins before craft starts, so had enough time to do it. Only two of us but it was the last day of term, we now have a two week break and then I will be teaching a few projects for Christmas and will have a couple of extra people on my table.
It was nice not to have to rush everything tonight, we had a late tea because our DIL was quite late coming to pick Isaac up. No choir practise and nothing else to rush off to!!!
My card for tonight was made using a freebie Vintage stamp from Pamela at Free Vintage Digital Stamps blog. Thanks to Cynthia for the whereabouts of this digi.
Here it is:
Recipe:
Pale Blue Cardstock from stash for basecard
DPs from Prima ~ Londonerry Collection 6x6 paper stack~ I used 4 different papers.

SU Early Espresso inkpad - sponged edges of large pieces of DP - front and inside

A Snowman's Christmas
Hi all, Just a really quick post. I've been at Choir practice again tonight - two days in a row and I got home about 10:45 p.m. So I'm tired and my voice is too!!! We have another practice Friday night and then the concert on Sunday. I also have Church Choir practice on Thursday night. I even had someone ring up to see if I could come and help out their choir on Sunday morning. He used to be my choir conductor at the church I used to go to and he left there and now plays the organ for a Uniting Church with a very small choir. I politely declined - just too much singing on the one day as the concert is fairly full on.
So.... I've just sat in the family room and watched tv and made myself a coffee to wind down. I decided my brain wasn't going to be functioning on full power to make an involved card so I've made a very simple one for Christmas using the theme over at Unstampabelles Challenge Blog - Embossing.
I haven't done the inside yet, lol, just want my bed...... yawn :(
Front of Card - I know, yep, it's not very creative!!!
but it's one less Christmas card I need to worry about.
Recipe:
SU Real Red cardstock for the basecard
Green cardstock from stash
Sizzix Embossing Folder
Bling from stash
Chipboard snowman from stash
Sentiment is a rub-on
White cardstock scrap

Simple Baby Card
Wow, I am really late again tonight. We ended up travelling toVictor Harbour today to go to a Charity Auction, not the usual one we go to. We met our friends there but it was a very small auction and not much there this time, so we ended up checking out a small grower's market. I bought 3 plants, a mint, a coriander and a curly parsley. Trying to make a bit of a herb garden. There was also a rock and roll festival on this weekend, with old cars from that era and live music. We strolled around that for a little while and then went back to our friends' house for lunch. The guys went back into the town to see a bit more of the festival and we gals stayed at the house and watched a DVD and chatted.
We got home early evening and our youngest son and his girlfriend decided to cook tea for us. Emma is Vietnamese so she made a vegetable soup, sweet and sour and then they steamed a whole fish and made a sauce to go with it and also rice. It was all very good.
I've been finishing off my DT card and then quickly made this simple little baby card to share.
Here it is:
I've used textured cardstock from DCWV 12x12 paper stack - I cut an aperture using a die and then pricked holes around the edge. I stamped this cute little deer from SU Forest Friends using SU Pacific Point inkpad and then added the sentiment from SU Sweet Little Sentiments.
I added a gingham ribbon and bow and that's it finished. Told you it was Simple!!!
Thanks for stopping by - Hope you are enjoying your weekend break.

Sandy

Monkey Toes
Hello, it's the start of the weekend. I babysat the grandchildren today, the three of them, as Amelia had a day off from school. A "show" day although they had already been last weekend but the school sets aside one day as a pupil free day during the time frame of the Royal Show week.
It's been an overcast day, but Amelia had a bit of time out in the backyard throwing the ball for the dogs. Layla loves to bring the post in, so we do several trips to the mailbox during the day to see if he's been and Isaac is getting more adventurous and moving around the house more. He is different to the girls when they were his age. You could plonk them down in front of some toys, and they would stay there! If I go into the kitchen he will quite often follow me and tends to touch things and open things if he can too.
We watched several DVD's too and Isaac had several hours sleep. Layla is keen on making cards (she is 4) and is always asking to make one. I gave her a choice of stamps and she chose a teddy bear and after I inked it, she stamped it and then coloured it in with pencils. She did two images and we put one on the front and also one on the inside, she was quite keen to do that, LOL. She picked her papers and cardstock and it ended up looking quite nice so she has taken it home to put in her stash!!!
They all stayed for tea (including our son - our DIL went to the football) , watched some football - Jason's team was playing against Lisel's team. When he left here to go home, his team were winning but in the end Lisel's team won. He won't be happy, LOL, but she will be very happy.
I've only just finished my card, I seem to have lost some of my small dies and it is really bugging me so I have been looking for them with no success. I did find two small sets of stamps that I had forgotten I even bought!!!
Anyway onto sharing my card.
I ran out of time so I haven't decorated the inside yet.
Recipe:
SU Tempting Turquoise cardstock for basecard
DP's are both from Kaisercraft 6x6 Paper pad - Utopia Collection
Nestie Die - Wavy Rectangles
Meljen's Design - Monkey Toes Digi

Sentiment is a clear acrylic bubble with Happy Birthday in red on it. I adhered it to a blue circle and then a red one (SU Real Red)
Ribbon from Stash
Bling from stash
Time has flown again, so will leave you,

Recycled Christmas
Hello again, another day starting with a trip to the dentist. I've nearly finished with all the root canal work and toothache etc. He has one more filling to do and also the final part of the root canal to do. Today he did that tooth and also took out a filling he put in a few weeks ago because I am still getting toothache on that one and shouldn't be!!! So he put another different type of filling in the tooth and hopefully that will fix it! So I had to be careful eating on both sides of my mouth today and one side of my face was numb for several hours as well.
It was Thursday craft today and there were four of us this time around. It was good to catch up with Ann, who hasn't been able to come for a few weeks.
Tea out with friends at a local hotel and home for the rest of the evening - no choir practice tonight.
I got to watch some CSI programmes and also sat and played around making my card for today.
Here it is: I've used a recycled Christmas card for the image on my card.
Recipe:
SU Real Red Cardstock for the basecard
DP from stash - Kaisercraft 6x6 paper stack
Textured (green)cardstock from DCWV - I've had this quite a long time and had it stashed away in a drawer- forgotten until a couple of weeks ago when I was looking for something else.
White cardstock from stash
Nestie die - Labels twenty
Nestie die - Grommet tags
Brads from stash
Sentiment from SU Teeny Tiny Sentiments
SU Real Red inkpad.
I am entering this into the following challenges:
ABC Christmas Challenges - R for Recycling (I recycled an old Christmas card)
Just Keep on Creating - Christmas
Thanks for popping in today,
Take Care,
Sandy

Girl sitting on present
A full day today, our youngest daughter, myself and grandson Isaac went off to the Royal Show. Rachel was here early and we waited for Isaac to be dropped off before heading off. The weather started fine, but after about an hour it came in overcast and by lunchtime it was starting to drizzle a little so we ducked into one of the halls to look at different exhibits and some of the product sales and tastings. It rained quite a bit while we were in the hall. Before the rain came we went and looked at the dogs and then the animal section where the kids can get up and personal with baby chicks, cows (Isaac loved the huge cows, didn't want to touch but was so excited talking away and being only inches away from their heads, standing on hay bales) rabbits, baby pigs, baby goats. He was the only one in the pen (and Rachel) and he actually walked over to the little goat with his hand outstreched and shaking, lol, and then patted it like a dog. So funny!!!
We came home late afternoon, Isaac had fallen asleep while we walked around the exhibitions so was wide awake again. Just had time to feed him some tea and for him to have some time with Papa before his Mum came to pick him up. By this time, I had a headache and went and had a half hour nap which helped and then made us a meal. So an enjoyable day with my daughter and our grandson and a quiet night at home to finish the day off.
I've then sat down and made a card to share,

Parisian Card - Collage
Spring is really here, it's Show Week in Adelaide and it always rains during show week, lol. It's been fine since it started and I am going with our daughter tomorrow and as I'm babysitting Isaac tomorrow too, he will be coming with us. Guess what, that's right, it is forecast to rain!!!
Here's hoping it will hold off while we are there. Isaac is too young to go on any of the amusement rides and can't talk yet to be able to ask for any of the show bags etc so he will just be sitting in the pusher and hopefully we will take him to look at the baby animals etc.
I spent the morning with Fran at Shirley's making 3 beautiful cards, lunch on the way home as usual and then back here to do the dishes and organize something for tea.
Another choir practise tonight so I'm fairly tired. The voice is a bit tired too after two rehearsals in a row and hard work too.
Well as usual it's late here and everyone else is fast asleep so will get on and share my card, which I have just finished.
Here it is, I'm just scanning so hopefully it will look okay!
Front of Card - sorry it hasn't scanned that well and it's too late at night to take a photo of it.
The center piece of card is a coffee colour with ink distressed edges. The DP has a linen texture look to it which doesn't show here either . It definitely looks better in real life.
Inside of Card
Recipe:
SU Early Espresso cardstock for the card base
DP from Glitz 6x6 paper pack called French kiss(both on front and inside of card)
Stamps came from several different sets -
Pinkpaislee - Butterfly Garden Collection - Impressions No14
SU Rustic Rooster
Kaisercraft - Bonjour
SU Artistic Etchings
SU Choc Chip inkpad - 2nd and 3rd generation stamping
SU Early Espresso for main images
Pearls from SU (on the crown) and also stash
I am entering this into the following challenges
(back later with some)
Well must say goodnight, hope you enjoy the rest of your day,
Thanks for stopping by and also for commenting.

Altered Notebook - MIM #106 DT project
It's Make It Monday time once again. I really enjoy seeing so many fabulous entries during the week and would love to see even more!!!!
Congratulations to Tanya on being our featured entrant this week and to Teresa who is the winning commenter, I hope you enjoy your prize from last week's sponsor.
Our Sponsor for this week is the fab Bugaboo Digi Stamps and you can see the wonderful prize they are offering further down in this post.
I was lucky enough to be able to use Edward Elephant - Flower which you can find here at Bugaboo Digi Stamps
I decided to make an altered notebook this week instead of a card. To do this you have to take the spiralled binding out and then decorate the front cover, punch the holes again and (the hard bit, LOL) then put it back together. Not too hard as long as you keep the pages all lined up and once you start it threads back quite well.
Here is a picture of the finished notebook:
Sorry the close up doesn't look quite right - a bit dark and it doesn't show the shading of the greys.

Everything That You Ever Wanted to Know About Bugaboo Stamps: A Short Essay
As if raising five children in the frozen land of the North was not enough of a challenge, Jodie Mackrell decided to dip her cold little Canadian toes into the world of papercrafting by opening an online store full of her illustrations. That was two years ago. Today Bugaboo Stamps is one of the leading companies in digital images, and we're still growing! From seriously snarky to sugary sweet to sublimely soulful all the way over to the other side of the super sexy spectrum, you're bound to find all that you need and more to create your paper projects. Jodie works very hard to provide New Releases and Freebies every week!
If your taste runs to rubber (and you know who you are), you can find Bugaboo Stamps atTotally Stampalicious. And finally, join the Bugaboo Stamps DT for weekly challenges at Catch the Bug.
My POTW is this beauty from Kasey from Paisley Wings & Crafty Things and you can find it here . Love the clean crisp image, the embossing and diecuts. A fabulous card.
My fingers are already itching to click on those thumbnails and come and visit your blogs to check out your creations, so get out the card, papers, stamps, glue etc and start creating!!!

Leafy CAS card
It's been a lovely Spring Day today, it's nice to see a bit of sunshine! Hope the weather in your part of the world has been kind to you. As it is Sunday, we started our day off with going to church. I was on time for practice and the choir sang after the opening prayers. It was a very nice piece with a catchy tune. In the last verse two of the sopranos sang the melody and myself and another soprano and the rest of the choir sang parts backing them. It went well, I think.
After catching up with a couple of people at morning tea, we came home for lunch and to wait for our grandson to be dropped off while our son, DIL and two granddaughters went to the pictures to see Nemo in 3D. Hubby went to our daughter's house to pick up our lawnmower and ended up doing their lawn first as they hadn't been able to get the thing to start. He came back home and took little Isaac in the stroller for a walk around the block and then mowed both the front, back and nature strip. They really were in desperate need of mowing, the poor dogs were just about getting lost out there!!! Well, I'm exaggerating a teeny bit, LOL.
Tonight I have made a very simple card, it didn't quite turn out the way I wanted it to, but I had 4 goes at it and have 3 disasters waiting to go in the bin. I used new stamps on a couple of the rejects and they just did not stamp clean. This one the leaves are sponged using the negative part of a diecut.
Here is the scan to share:
Front of card:
I've scanned with a backing sheet so the edges of my white card shows up. I haven't done anything to the inside of the card but may use a diecut when I finally get around to using this card.
Recipe:
White cardstock from stash for the basecard

My weekend has finished and I'm off to bed, thanks to those who expressed wishes that I felt better, I am now recovered and feel just fine.

Hi everyone, I missed posting yesterday as I was quite unwell late afternoon and for the rest of the night. I ended up going to bed and staying there!!!
I had the two youngest grandchildren yesterday and our eldest daughter came over and stayed with them while I picked up a friend and headed down to the airport to sing with my choir. A radio station here in Adelaide had contacted the choir and a couple of other ones to try and get a group together to sing the Adelaide Crows football team theme song as the Sydney Swans team arrived here in Adelaide. I am not much of a football follower, but would prefer a Sth. Ozzie team to win. Well they (our team) got well and truly trounced!!!! Anyway, it got the choir a bit of promotion and the radio station ended up giving us all a double pass to the cinema and paid for our parking in the new (and expensive) airport carpark.
Today, I was still not 100% so stayed home. I didn't want to go to craft and spread any germs around. So I have had a quiet day at home, hubby didn't have to work today and he ended up visiting his SIL who is still having a bit of treatment for breast cancer and also another school friend who is down from Queensland because her mother is very ill with cancer as well. They both live in country towns so he had to travel about an hour to get there.
I did do some crafting today in between watching a couple of DVD's. I finished my DT project for Make It Monday and also made a card to share today.
Here it is:
Front of card
inside of card
Recipe:
SU Choc Chip cardstock for basecard
Blue cardstock from stash
DP from Yuki for Ruby Violet 6x6 paper stack
Tim Holtz embossing folder - brick wall
Image is from Scribbles by Sandy and is called "Shredder"
Copic Markers
Sentiment is a stamp that says Judith on the side.
Nestie die - large labels.
I drew all of the other words and coloured them in with markers.
I am entering this into the following challenges:
Paper Crafting Journey - Anything Goes Challenge
Inky Impressions - Anything Goes
My Mum's Craft Shop - Challenge #73 ~ Anything Goes
Paper Pretties - PWC 222 ~ Sport's theme ( I hope this qualifies)
Again, that's my day, hope you are enjoying another weekend. The Royal show started today and my grandchildren went this morning - our son has already shared a photo on facebook of them on one of the many rides. It usually rains during the week of the Royal Show but they had a fine day today.
Thanks for stopping by,
Take Care,
Sandy

This little Pig went to the Market and bought back Cupcakes!
Another windy day and more rain. We've had several really heavy showers, some only lasting a couple of minutes. Hubby had to go relight the pilot light in the gas water heater as the wind had blown it out. Nothing like getting into the shower in the morning and turning it on to find it freezing cold, LOL. I now test it first before I get undressed so I don't have to go outside wrapped in a towel and wearing my coat, LOL. What a sight!!!!
I caught up with an old friend today who I haven't had much to do with over the last 15 years. We were quite close then and we just let life get in the way for a while and then I found she was willing to just walk away. I was quite hurt at the time but time has dulled that and we could sit and chat easily enough. I don't think we will ever get back to that really "pally" friendship we had before.
I left her place and called into the shops before going to craft. I had to get something for afternoon tea and something for my lunch as well. Again, there were only the three of us, we managed to get a little crafting done. The weather was miserable and it rained as well. I said it's the sort of weather that makes you feel melancholy!!!
I arrived home and had only just sat down at the computer to catch up on some DT commenting when hubby come home. He hadn't had his lunch break so had finished up a little bit earlier. We went out with friends for tea and then I dropped Adrian home and I drove into town to church for choir practice.
Better get on and share my card as I have to get up and take our son to work in the morning. He has been using his brother's ute but has taken it back to him. His car is now ready to be picked up from the crash repairers after his run in with the kangaroo.
So here is the card:
Front of card
Inside of card ( I get very frustrated that the front looks true to colour and the inside turns into something totally different. this is Choc Chip cardstock so should look BROWN !!! Scanners, bah, humbug!!!!)
Recipe:
SU Choc Chip cardstock for the basecard
SU Tempting Turquoise cardstock
SU Real Red - scraps for stars
White cardstock from stash
DP is a self adhesive paper (not sure who made it)
Nestie dies - Octagon and Star
Image is from Bugaboo
Copic Markers
I am entering this into the following challenges:
Perfect Sentiments Challenge - PSC48 ~ All Creatures Great and Small
Tuesday Alchemy - Challenge #30 ~ Anything Goes
Thanks for stopping by today, hope your day has been a good one,

Three Roses
Wow, I've now hit 150 followers thanks to Billie and Jan. Thanks ladies and welcome to my blog.
Well after a lovely spring day yesterday, we've had lots of rain, a very windy and overcast day. I decided not to go to craft today as I woke up with a sore throat. I also had to drive hubby to work as he had an appointment to keep yesterday and as he was still in the work truck on the way back to the depot, he got his co-worker to drop him off which meant his car was locked away in the employee's carpark for the night.
I managed 3 loads of washing and hung it out hoping the wind was enough to get it dry. Well 2 loads were about 2/3 dry and the last one was still wet when the rain decided to come down. Our youngest daughter had popped in just in time to help me in the mad dash to get it all off the line.
I had little Isaac today as well. We popped up to the supermarket and also posted a grandparents card for friends of ours and also a Sympathy card for another friend whose husband just died.
I also was organised and made a curry for tea. I ended up feeding our middle son as well and then the oldest one called in on his way home and he had an entree size!!!
And that was my day, LOL.
Here is what I have done for my card tonight, using a 3D that I had already made up, I have a small stash of images that I did a while back, just waiting for me to use!!!
Front of card
Inside of Card
Recipe:
SU Kiwis Kiss cardstock for the cardbase, top fold
DCWV Jewel Coloured cardstock stack 12x12 - 2 shades of pink

Fancy That Die - Doily Flower 3 - used white card
Nestie Die - Labels 23
Sentiment is from Kanban stamps - Damask Divas ~ Let's Do Lunch
SU Basic Black inkpad
I am entering this into the following challenges:

Well, that it again from me, might just get a few early minutes to bed tonight.

On the Farm
A warm welcome to new followers, Patricia and Sue, nice to meet you. I hope you will find something here to interest you.
It's been a warm spring day but turned quite windy late afternoon and I can hear it gusting out there now still. Our daughter who has been working away for several months was supposed to come home this Friday , but had the opportunity to come home today, arriving about 5.30 p.m. We kept it secret from her fiancee!!! I talked to him on Sunday and asked if he would call in here before going home from work tonight so we could have a chat with him. He was worried about what we had to talk to him about. He asked if it was something bad and I kept saying, no, no, it's nothing bad. I think I had him worried.
It was about 7.30 p.m. when he got here and I left the hallway light off on purpose. Katie hid inside my room which is at the front of the house, I let him in and as he walked down the hallway, Katie come out behind him, he turned around to say something to me and saw two figures behind him in the dark. He couldn't believe she was home. I asked him later how he had liked our little "Chat" LOL. He was very happy.
It was choir rehearsal tonight but because we had this planned I stayed home - also my throat is not so good and probably a good reason to not sing.
Well, as usual I am at the tail end of the day sitting here in front of the computer.
I had better hurry up and finish this as I have our little grandson to look after tomorrow and better get some sleep.
I chose to do a male card tonight, but not really happy with my colouring of the motorbike, it's really hard to know what is what on this image!!! I haven't put a sentiment on it yet, but probably will later.
Anyway, here it is....
Front of the card
Inside of the card
Recipe:
SU Early Espresso cardstock for the basecard
DP from stash - pale green and distressed with SU Choc Chip Inkpad.
SU Creamy caramel for the diecut on the inside
Nestie Die - Curved Rectangles - I cut the image with the larger one and then using the same one and a smaller one, I made a frame to sit on top. Both pieces were ink distressed with Tim Holtz - Vintage Distress Ink.
Images - I used two on the front and one on the inside - they are from Stamp-It (Australia)
I stamped the motorbike coloured it and then cut around it and mounted on the outside of the frame with foam dots. If you look close, you can see the two farm dogs on the bike too.
Copic Markers
SU Choc Chip Inkpad
