Challenge #5 for Get Creative Challenges

Well, I'm a bit late posting. It's hubby's birthday tomorrow and he wanted all the family and a few friends to get together for a barbeque and to watch a live music radio broadcast. It finished about 30 mins ago and we've just finished unpacking the table and chairs and the remains of the food. I made a couple of salads and my famous baked pumpkin cheescake which went down well. Cheese and crackers and a dip to finish off whilst watching the various acts and I think all have gone home happy. I even got to snuggle with one of our cute little granddaughters during the night, so I'm happy too, lol.
Also I noticed I have a couple of new followers, thanks for joining and I hope to see you calling in from time to time.
Now onto the reason for my post tonight and that is to share my DT card for the new challenge starting today at Get Creative Challenges.

Challenge #104 at 613 Avenue Create Challenges

Hi everyone, sorry I've been missing in action but have had a couple of weeks feeling pretty low with bad headaches & nausea as well as tooth problems! It's not been much fun. I'm finally headache free and had an enjoyable Christmas get together with family members here at home. We had 22 here at dinner time and then six at tea time. I hope you all had a wonderful time. It's hubby's birthday tomorrow so the family are getting together for a simple barbeque and then watching a live radio station music programme called the Hillbilly Hooters. Hope everyone enjoys it and they have some good acts. Most of the time they are quite good but occassionally there are one or two not so good ones, lol.
My card for today is my very last Christmas card for 2014 and is for the new challenge starting at 613 Avenue Create. It's an Anything Goes Challenge with No Twist this time. Our sponsors are Melonheadz and QKR Stampede. My cute little elf comes from Melonheadz and is a part of a bundle.
Here is my card........

Christmas Greetings from Down Under - Challenge #41 at Completely Christmas

It's been a busy day today with grandchildren arriving to stay overnight, a craft breakup party (with crafting too, lol) I had to do some shopping to buy ingredients for zucchini slice for tomorrow's church choir Christmas luncheon. I will be glad to sit down and relax after the kids go to bed!
This week at Completely Christmas our challenge is as usual Anything Goes and the twist this week is to add some Holly.
Our sponsor is Lacy Sunshine and I had recently purchased a few digis so decided to go with a non-christmas image to make a card to send overseas. Thus the title of my post......Christmas Greetings from Down Under and my image is appropriate as she is called Kenna, Aussie Girl. I coloured her clothes in Khaki and Denim with some red and green thrown in to represent Christmas. Hope you like her and her little Koala friend.
Here is my card......

Here's a second picture, was trying to be arty with some of the garden in the background, but the word "Christmas" doesn't show up so thought I had better go with the scanned pic for the challenge blog.
The colours show up a bit lighter too- the top pic is more correct.

Recipe:
Cream Shimmery cardstock from Kaszzaz
Green card stock from stash
DP was also from Kaszzaz
Image is from Lacy Sunshine - Kenna Aussie Girl
Holly is from a freebie set of stamps
Copic Markers
D/S tape roller
Foam Dots

My teamies and I would love it if you popped in and left us a comment and we are looking forward to checking out your entries on the challenge blog. I'd better go and check on these grandchildren, lol and start thinking about what I am going to feed them.
Thanks for stopping by,

My first DT card at Get Creative Challenges - Challenge #3

Welcome to my blog, There is a fairly new challenge blog called Get Creative Challenges and I had been taken on as a sub but one of the DT has had to stand down and Angie asked if I would like to take on the DT position. We hope you come and join in the fun and spread the word about the challenge blog too.

Challenge #100 at 613 Avenue Create

It's been a lovely day today, started off this morning with church and singing in the choir, a quick cuppa afterwards and then home for some lunch. I had booked into a Copics club afternoon at our local craft store so gathered up my pens and met a friend there. We coloured a lovely horse freebie digi from Deviant Art - I did one white with grey highlights and another one in brown ~ I'll share them when I get them made up into cards.
Well, today is the 100th challenge at 613 Avenue Create - a milestone for us all. We love to see the wonderful entries each week and glad that those who enter enjoy being part of the challenges.
I think challenges are marvellous opportunities to share our work and also to be inspired by other people's contributions as well. You can pick up tips about layouts, colour schemes and embellishments and you also get to see the many different images (whether they are rubber stamp or digital images) that are available. Digital being one of the easiest to acquire, most instantly, which is fabulous and a real boost to the many talented artists out there too.
This week at 613 Avenue Create we have an optional twist of making a calender, something that we all use or could give to someone else. I know the world of electronics has us all using phones and tablets etc but it's still nice to have something more permanent on the wall or fridge etc.
Our sponsors this week are: Bugaboo, Fitztown and Fred She Said. I was able to select this lovely country scene from Fitztown to use on my creation.

Here is my calender: This photo of the whole calender has not come up very clear so I've added a pic of just the top section so you can see the wonderful image better.

This close up was edited for colour and has come up not quite true. The horse on the right should be more brown like the one above, lol and the other one should be slightly darker. I just can't seem to get it right sometimes. Very frustrating.......and one of my poor little chooks got an eyelet in place of it's head. Didn't think that one through very well!!!!

Recipe:
Chipboard from stash
White card for the image
DP from
Image is from Fitztown - Country Scene 8
Calender purchased from my local craft store
Copic Markers
Gold Border stickers from stash
Eyelets from stash
Rings from stash
Soft twine from stash
Cropadile
D/S tape roller

I am entering my calender in the following challenges:
Hiding in My Craft Room - HIMCR #176 ~ Freestyle
A Crafty Mess - Challenge 1 ~ Anything Goes

Well, it's time for a bit of a relax before thinking about what to cook for dinner. I bought some marinated chicken strips so I think we will have a sort of stir fry dish with a few vegies added.
Our son and DIL who are living here at present have been house sitting for one of our other son and DIL as they have been visiting her brother and SIL interstate for their 30th birthdays. They get home later tonight so our boarders will be back tonight too. Emma is pretty good as she works during the week she cooks up several dishes at a time and they use them for lunches or dinners, me......I usually come up with something on the hop, lol.
My DT teamies and I would love to see you stop by our blogs and leave a comment and please do share your creativity with us this week, we are an Anything Goes Challenge Blog and have an optional twist so you have lots of scope to play with. Hope to see you in the neighbourhood at 613 Avenue Create,
Thanks for stopping by
Take Care,
Hugs.

A Snowman's Head

Hi everyone, I thought I would share one of the cards I made to teach at my Wednesday class. My tiny class of one  has finally grown to 3 people over the last two terms and today was our last crafting day for the year. Next week they have a bit of a concert and a luncheon (no crafting, lol) and that's it until Feb next year. One of my ladies was quite reluctant to finish today and as we only managed to get two cards made  we ended up still there half an hour after everyone else left so we could at least do the stamping and cutting of card and paper for the 3rd card. They can put it together at home. The one I am sharing with you is inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest recently. I found these fab freebie faces and used a large punch to cut them out.
Here's the photo, sorry I took it late tonight and it was sitting on my cutting mat so you can still see some of that around the edges.

Recipe:
SU Crumbcake cardstock for the basecard and matte
Yellow textured cardstock from my scrap pile
DP is from  Francheville - 12x12 paper pad Christmas Basics
Ribbon from stash
Bells from stash
Gold cord from stash
Star Border punch (not sure where I got this one, I've had it for quite a while)
D/S tape roller
Foam Dots
Glue Dots
Memento Black inkpad
Wink of Stella Gold pen (a new acquisition) - love it!!!!

I am entering my card into the following challenges:
A Song in Your He(ART) - Challenge #21 ~ Have yourselves a Merry Little Christmas
Addicted to Stamps and More - Challenge #123 ~ Holiday
Christmas at Sweet Stampin - November challenge ~ Snow People
Crafting for all Seasons - Challenge #91 ~ Tis the Season
Digi Choosday Challenge - Challenge wk 47 ~ Christmas Celebrations

The ladies had fun making this card and even though we don't have snow here in Sth. Australia we still all love fun snowmen images and winter wonderland scenes too, lol.
It's very late and my eyes are tired, taken a couple of headache tablets too as I've been a bit under the weather since yesterday. PT in the morning so I have to be up early and feel energetic!!! We shall see.....hmmm.
Better go to bed, lol.
Thanks for stopping,

Hugs,
Sandy

Challenge # 39 at Completely Christmas Challenges

Are you starting to get into the Christmas Spirit or are you in panic mode because there is still so much to do? I'm somewhere in between I think, lol. I want to make a few special cards for close friends, but I think I have plenty in my stash that I won't have to panic about cards. It's more the house that I'm worried about. I still have my dining room full of crafty stuff that needs sorting and we will need to try and move our son and DIL's belongings out of the hallway into a spare room to make that look tidy too. We are babysitting the 3 eldest grandies overnight and have to travel up into the hills to pick them up from their auntie's wedding (our DIL's sister).  All 3 are going to be involved in the ceremony and then the photos, so there will be a bit of hanging around before travelling back home. It's a 5 p.m. outdoor wedding and I think rain is forecast!!!
Well, onto my DT card for Completely Christmas Challenges this week. We had lots of lovely entries this past week and it's great popping in and visiting some of your blogs to leave a comment and get a better look at your creativity. Our theme is to use some embossing on your creation.
Our sponsor this week is Sparkle N Sprinkle and I bought this fab snowman image to use on my card. It does have a sentiment that goes with it but I chose to use a single word sentiment on mine.
Here's the card........
I printed the image twice and then just the hat and have layered the snowman up to give it some depth.

Recipe:
White card from stash
SU Pacific Point cardstock for mattes
DP is from Francheville - 12x12 paper pad ~ Christmas Basics
Image is from Sparkle N Sprinkle ~ Digi 100 Snowman with Heart
Sentiment is from SU
Punches - Snowflake ~ Martha Stewart
             - SU Circle punches
Bling from stash
Copic Markers
Sizzix embossing folder ~ Divine Swirls
Black Memento inkpad
Wink of Stella pen - I used this on the snowflake and it looks lovely, but it doesn't show well in the photo
(My first pen!!!)
Foam Dots
D/S tape roller

I don't think I missed anything but I'll be back if I did, lol.
We would love to see you stopping by the challenge blog this week and sharing your creativity with us.
Hope to see you there.

Challenge 120 at Aud Sentiments Challenge Blog

Yeah it's Thursday and there is a new challenge at Aud Sentiments. The theme this fortnight is to make a card with a sentiment for a December Holiday. I'm situated in Australia so mine is a Christmas themed card. We would love to have you join in the fun and hey, you get to add to your growing Christmas stash or other holiday themed cards too.
Our sponsors are Delicious Doodles and Stamp Art Designs by Kathryne. I got to play with a fun little image from Kathryne

Here is my card.......

Marianne Christmas tree die
Punches - large oval and scalloped oval
Copic Markers
Memento Black inkpad

We have our little grandson staying overnight tonight and we've just come back from the local hotel with dinner with friends. I was supposed to go to choir practice but am very tired. I think I am still catching up from doing that workshop on Saturday. I have had lots of pain in my right hand side lower back and hadn't even registered it was from standing up all afternoon and bending over the table to help people with making their boxes. I had PT training today and she structured it around my back problem so I wouldn't aggravate it any more. So..... that's it from me, I might be back later to fill in some challenges.
Do pop in and leave your wonderful creations on the challenge blog. We really do enjoy seeing them and stopping by to leave a comment.
My teamies and I love to hear from you to, so if you have the time get those fingers tapping and leave a comment or two.
Thanks for stopping by,

Stocking Surprise - Challenge #98 at 613 Avenue Create

We've come to the end of the weekend and I'm gearing up for another week of babysitting and craft, lol.
I've recovered from yesterday's workshop and after church this morning am ready to get right back into everything. The minister talked about how we stay connected to God. It was a good sermon with lots to think about and much that I agreed with. Our friend who has been staying with us since Wednesday is going to move on tomorrow, still staying in town but with some other friends of his. It's been good having him here. An easy going person, not hard to talk to or entertain.
There is a new challenge at 613 Avenue Create today and as the time shortens leading up to Christmas I chose to make yet another Christmas Card. The theme is to use the word "Hello" in your sentiment to celebrate World Hello Day. You can make the word "Hello" in any language.  I combined two sentiments so I could make it Christmas themed as well and the lovely image also goes well with the theme too. Our sponsors this week are Flat Friends BoutiqueDi's Digi Stamps  and Oddball Art Stamp Co, so pop into their shops and check them out.
Here is my card......

Recipe:
SU Real Red cardstock
White cardstock from stash
DP from Kaisercraft 12x12 pad - North Pole
Sentiments are from SU - Good Greetings
Holly images are from freebie stamp set

Martha Stewart border punch

Three Shepherds Nativity - Challenge #38 at Completely Christmas

I have had a busy day teaching at a craft workshop. It's taken me over a week to get organised for it as it was an afternoon where people just rocked up (no cardmaking kit or anything) and could make 8 different crafts or as many as they could fit in. I think I had 28 people go through on my table with about 4 of them trying to make things in the dying minutes of the afternoon!!! I was the last to pack up and by that time, I was ready for home and some time to myself. I taught them how to make a gable box and did basically everything except cutting out parts of the scored card I made for them and sticking on the papers, diecuts, image and ribbon. I chose three images to colour with copics and then copy and pasted them multiple times and printed out sheets for them to use as there wasn't enough time to do colouring of their own images. I think people were happy with their take home efforts.
Anyway, I had better get on and share my DT card for the new challenge starting at Completely Christmas Challenge today. It is our mid- monthly sketch challenge this week so hop over to the blog and check out the sketch layout and play along. We would love to see what you come up with.
Our sponsor this week is Stitchy Bear Stamps and I had purchased this sweet nativity stamp a while ago and chose to use it this week.
Here is my card......

Recipe:
SU Crumbcake cardstock for the basecard
SU Real Red cardstock for the matte
White card from stash for the diecut
DP are both from Kaisercraft 12x12 paper pad - Mix & Match
Image is from Stitchy Bear Stamps - The Nativity
Sentiment is a freebie stamp with magazine purchase
Diecut - Ovals
Punch - Star
Memento black inkpad
D/S tape roller
Foam Dots

I am entering my card into the following challenges:
C.R.A.F.T. challenges - Challenge 285 ~ Christmas
Crafty Little Fairies - November challenge - Not a Square
Delightful Challenges - Happy Holiday
DLART Thankful Thursday Challenge - Challenge #144 - Anything Christmas

I'm pretty washed out from today and we have a friend staying with us for a few days as well so I am going to say goodnight.
The rest of the DT and I are looking forward to seeing your entries this week. Scary that Christmas is now just a matter of weeks away.
Thanks for stopping by, I'd love to hear what you think of my latest Christmas card.

Challenge #37 over at Completely Christmas Challenge Blog

Wow, after 39C yesterday it's only 16C at the moment. Both my DIL and I decided to wash. I got most of my load dry as it's pretty windy but my queen size flannelette sheets, socks and hubbies jeans were still out there along with most of her clothes. The sheets only went out about 15 minutes ago. So here I am getting ready to write up my post and I hear a noise, it's raining - pelting down huge drops of water. I rushed out followed by DIL to grab off the rest of her clothes and mine. Shirts that only had the collar to dry off are now drenched!!! So out come the clothes airers and we now have wet clothes draped about, lol.
Back to typing up the post.
Hubby went off into town and met up with our 3 oldest grandies and our son and DIL to watch the Christmas Pageant. They had a good time and it was well over before the rain came which is good because there were about 3,000 people lining the streets watching the different floats.
There is a new challenge starting at Completely Christmas challenge blog today and as usual it's anything Christmas themed but there is a twist of using the colour Blue.
Our sponsor is Di's Digital Downloads.
Here is what I made to share.......

Recipe:
SU Night of Navy cardstock for basecard and matte.
White cardstock from stash
Image is a coloured freebie I found on the net
Drum image is from a freebie set of stamps with magazine purchase ( I borrowed it from a friend)
Copic Markers
Memento black inkpad
D/S tape roller
Foam Dots

We would love to see what you create this week so why not pop in to the challenge blog and enter your creation.
I'm off to get some fried rice my DIL has cooked up for lunch and then going to a friends place to she can help me to get prepared for a workshop I am involved in next week.
Thanks for stopping by
Take Care,
Hugs,
Sandy

It's supposed to be 39C tomorrow and I was going to be babysitting but hubby is home and he will be able to do it while I go out to craft for a while in the afternoon. It's only while my daughter is having a medical appointment so he should be okay for maybe an hour, lol.
I do hope you come and play over at the challenge blog, we would love to see you. My teamies and I would appreciate you dropping in on our personal blogs too and leaving a comment.

Little Santa Challenge # 96 at 613 Avenue Create Challenge

The last day of the weekend and it's been a full one for us. We had a wedding to go to yesterday. It was held on the balcony of the Sea Rescue Squadron venue down at West Beach at 5p.m. It was pretty chilly and we were looking towards the sea with the sun in our eyes. It was a fairly quick ceremony as it was done with a marriage celebrant and after watching them sign the registry we all dashed inside for the reception. I had only about 4 hours sleep the night before so I was bushed by 9:30 so we said our goodbyes and headed home. The younger ones had got into the loud music and dancing so you couldn't hear any conversation anyway. This afternoon we had hubby's brother, sister-in-law and one of his nieces over. They came down to see our latest granddaughter. So they all came for lunch which was very late!!! Then they wanted to see our other granddaughter as well, so we rang them up and they popped over as well. It's now 6:45 and the last ones have just left. So this is the first bit of free time I've had all day to pop in and write up my post.
A new challenge has started today at 613 Avenue Create and as usual it is Anything Goes, but......we always like to give you an optional twist and we love it when you take up the challenge. The twist is Holiday Thanks....Create a Thankyou card or Host?Hostess Gift. I chose to make a box to put some goodies in and I love the cute little image from Aurora Wings.............Check it out.
Our sponsors are Aurora Wings and Delicious Doodles.
Here is my make for the challenge....... A friend sent me a picture of a box similar to this and asked if I knew how to make it - I said No but I think it wouldn't be too hard to figure out and voila.... here it is.

Challenge #36 at Completely Christmas

Hi there, I missed my post last week as I wasn't feeling 100% but I'm back today with the new challenge at Completely Christmas Challenge blog. You can make anything Christmas themed but this week we have a twist of using a robin somewhere on your project. I actually made this stand up card at least a month ago so have had to quickly add a robin to finish it off. I used the wrong sponsor image so I was ready for today's challenge by mistake, lol. It folds down so you can pop it in an envelope for posting. The red and white paper behind it was just so it showed off the middle panel.
Our sponsor this week is Paper Pretties and I have used this lovely little bare Christmas tree called Oh Tiny Tree. I think it is lovely, hope you enjoy the image too.
Here it is..........

Recipe:
SU Real Red cardstock for the base, tag insert and scalloped oval
White cardstock from stash
DP from my scrap mountain!
Image is from Paper Pretties - Oh Tiny Tree
Snow couple is from Beccy's Place
Robin is from Sugar & Spice Studio set - Red & White Christmas
Sentiments are from SU - peace & joy is from Good Greetings and I can't remember the other set
Copic Markers
Die - I think this is a Couture die (I've lost the packaging)
Puches - Large Oval and Scalloped Oval
Bling from Stash
Memento Basic Black inkpad
D/S tape
D/S tape roller
Foam Dots

I am entering this into the following challenges:
Sister Act Card Challenge - Challenge #81 ~ Anything Goes
7 Kids College Fund Challenge - Challenge#111 ~ Anything Goes plus optional twist of Multiple Folds
Fab'n'Funky Challenges - Challenge #235 ~ Christmas

Well, we have a wedding to go to this afternoon, I've had only about 4 hours sleep and still have to organise a card. Going to look in my stash or if that fails I have an image already coloured that I can whip up, ha, ha. before getting myself dressed. It is a horrible day. The sun has finally come out but it has been overcast and windy and it rained overnight. The wedding isn't until 5 p.m. and is outside on a balcony so hopefully the rain has ended for the day.
We would love to see you over at the challenge so get your supplies out and join in the fun. Not long now to Christmas so another card for the stash is always good at this stage.

My Steampunk Design - Challenge #118 at Aud Sentiments

Hi and welcome, it's been another warm day today. I've been out exercising (weights today) and then spent the afternoon with a friend crafting away. We both were colouring Christmas images for use in the lead up to the big day. I've got quite a stash growing but would like to do a few special ones for close friends.
There is a new challenge starting today at Aud Sentiments Challenge Blog. Our theme this fortnight is to use a 2 or 3 word sentiment on the front of your card. An easy challenge and it can be any occasion as well so no hardship coming up with something.
Our wonderful sponsor is The Paper Shelter.

Here is my card.........

Recipe:
SU Crumb cake cardstock
DP was a free image I found on the internet
I also found the clock and cogs image on the net (layered over the paper in right hand corner)
Image is from The Paper Shelter and is called ~ It's Tea Time
Sentiment is from SU Friendly Phrases
Circle Punch
Copic Markers
SU Crumbcake inkpad (I layered a piece of crumbcake cardstock with the edges sponged over the same colour basecard)
Memento Basic Black inkpad
D/S Tape roller
Foam Dots

I think this one turned out quite well and is still in my CAS style. Her hair doesn't show that well in the picture though, might see if I can get a better shot tomorrow.
It's your turn now, I do hope you can join us on the challenge blog. We had a massive turnout last fortnight. It's a wonderful prize from our sponsor and who knows, it could be you being announced in a fortnight's time. The rest of the DT and I would love to see you pop in to our personal blogs and leave a comment. I'm starting to feel a bit like a leper lately - I know you're out there as the stats say there have been  visitors. Thanks to those of you who leave comments, they are very much appreciated and we all love to know what others think about our creations.
Have a good week,
Thanks for stopping by,

Candy is Sweet Challenge #94 - Anything Goes with a twist

A warm day today and unfortunately all spent indoors. Off to church on time this morning only to be detoured the long way with only one lane of traffic instead of 3 and longer waits at traffic lights too. It was a miracle that there was still a park just down from the church as I was on my own and being  in the choir meant I couldn't afford the time parking too far away and walking back to the church. I missed the practice we usually have and luckily the anthem was one we had been practicing. Another huge detour home after church, some grocery shopping, a quick lunch at home and then off to see our daughter, her partner and our new grandbaby. Also caught up with a couple of friends who were visiting them as well. Home late afternoon and now I am busily tapping away getting my post done as I forgot to schedule it. Hubby hasn't come home after leaving here at 9 a.m. on his motorbike so who knows where he actually is. I did get a text message saying he would be home in an hour and that he is ok, lol.
Well, I better get on and share my card for the new challenge starting at 613 Avenue Create this week. It is as usual, Anything Goes with an Optional Twist...... and that is Candy Treats
Our sponsors are Doodle Pantry, Fitztown and Digi Stamps 4 Joy  - I used this sweet little fairy on my card and as I don't celebrate Halloween I made it about friendship still with a candy theme.
Here is my card.......

Recipe:
SU Early Espresso cardstock for the cardbase and circle (it looks black here, but it is really dark brown)
White card from stash for the sentiment and image
DP is a freebie from Create with TLC
Image is from Digi Stamps 4 Joy - Freckle Faced Sitting Fairy
Sentiment is a freebie from Create with TLC
Nestie Die - standard circles - large
Copic Markers
SU Crumbcake inkpad
D/S tape roller
Foam Dots

Please come and join us for the challenge, there are some lovely prizes to be won and we do so love to see all the fabulous creations being dropped off in the neighbourhood.
So.........Let there be candy,,,,,,yum!!!!

Challenge #34 at Completely Christmas - Mid Month Sketch

Is your Christmas card stash growing? Mine is, it's been handy being on the DT of Completely Christmas Challenges as it means I have been making at least one a week and as I teach on Wednesday mornings I will have a few more to make so I can share them with my students this term.
So, it's time for another challenge, and we would love to see your creations. Our sponsor this week is Stitchy Bear and I popped over to the shop and bought myself an image to use on my card.
It is also our Mid Month Sketch this week and this is my take on it...... I chose non-traditional blues to base it on.

White card from stash for the images

Present image is a stamp fromSugar & Spice wooden stamp set - Happy Santa
Sentiment is from SU  Come to Bethlehem
Punches - Scalloped Square and Square
Memento Black inkpad
Copic Markers
D/S tape roller
Foam Dots

This is a scheduled post as we are off on a trip to go to an auction and visit friends about 1 1/2 hours away. The auctions are bi-monthly and we try to go to as many as we can so we get to spend time with our friends more regularly.
The rest of the DT and I would love to see you pop in to our blogs and leave a comment. Don't forget to check out the challenge blog to see the sketch for this week.

This week we have two sponsors and they are: Meljens Designs and The Stamping Chef

It's been a full day with our grandson staying overnight and going home just before lunch, craft at a friend's and then out to the shops with her to pick up her new glasses and I bought some nice fish for tomorrow night as we have 3 grandies staying overnight with us.
A night off cooking today as hubby won a voucher for two to a smorgasbord dinner. We were going to go last week but  in between babysitting, painting walls and staining floorboards and dropping in on our daughter to be told of her news (engaged!!!) we just couldn't manage to get to the hotel at the right time.
So... it's goodbye from me on the Crafty Girls DT but the blog still has two challenges to go so we would love to see you pop in and enter a creation. The rest of the DT and I would appreciate you popping in to our blogs as well to leave a comment and remember I'm going to be creating for Crafting with a Heart shortly so watch out for my first blog post for them.

Challenge #32 Vintage Santa

Finally our little granddaughter has arrived. She had to be induced and was 10 days overdue. We are turning into a multicultural family with one little granddaughter half greek and this one half aboriginal. She is a sweetie, olive complexion and so much black hair!!! I've been rather pre-occupied before she arrived and have spent a little bit of time getting to know her. I nearly forgot to post today and will have to check whether I can get my card on the challenge post too.
The challenge at Completely Christmas is Anything Goes as long as it is Christmas themed. This week we have a twist and that is to incorporate a tag into your design. Our sponsor is Di's Digi Downloads.
Here is my card.....

Recipe:
SU Real Red Cardstock for the cardbase
DP is from Kaisercraft 12x12 paper pad Mistletoe
Tag was a freebie found on the net
Sentiment was from a free stamp set with a magazine purchase
Die is a Couture Die I think - will check later

We would love to see you calling in to the challenge blog and sharing your creativity with us. I think I will go and let the dogs out for a while before going to bed. I think our youngest son and DIL are going to stay here overnight, but they haven't turned up yet.
It is a long weekend here in Sth. Australia and tomorrow also sees the start of daylight saving, that means we have to get up earlier, lol. It's late to goodnight and enjoy your weekend.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you will pop in to my other team mates and check out their creations too.

Challenge #31 Meet Me Under the Mistletoe

Another week has flown past. Still no news to share on the birth of our granddaughter. In fact, our daughter rang me last night to ask if I wanted to go to the baby shop with her today!!! She is now 6 days overdue.
Hopefully it won't be too much longer. If nothing has happened by Monday they will induce her labour.
So.... back to the challenge, lol.
As usual it is anything goes - keep a watch on the challenge blog for the next few challenges as Suzy is hotting things up by introducing an extra twist to our normal theme.
Our sponsor this week is Sparkle N Sprinkle and I popped over to the shop and bought this set which includes a coloured image (which I've used as I was short on time this week), a black and white image and the two sentiments. I put them into word and arranged the words to the side and at the top of my penguin, then printed it all as one image.
Here is my CAS card.....

Recipe:
SU Basic Black cardstock for the basecard and matte
White card from stash
DP from stash
Image is Mistletoe Penguin Digital set from Sparkle N Sprinkle
Bling from stash
D/S tape roller

I have been sorting out my craft room so have been  putting all my scraps together. My card is made completely from my scrap pile. Yeah!!! but it hasn't put a dent in it at all.
Hope to see you entering the challenge this week - we are getting closer to Christmas all the time, lol and soon the pressure will be on to get those cards made. I have a reasonable stash now but still want to do a few special ones for close friends.
Don't forget to pop in and check out all the DT blogs and we would love to hear from you too.
Thanks for stopping by,
Take Care,
Hugs,
Sandy
