Well another week down and that's the end of January. All my regular activities are starting up again and I'll have to get back into the routine of regular craft sessions and making cards for my Wednesday group ladies to do. In fact that is what I have to organise over the next couple of days.
I rang a couple of friends earlier today to see if they wanted to come with me to the craft shop, one was away off on a river boat and the other said yes. So armed with a request from my friend who couldn't come and the mission to buy a couple of copic ink refills for myself we headed out. Several dies later, lol, I remembered that I wanted the ink refills and the acid free tissue paper for my friend. Paid the larger bill than I had planned and laughed when my friend paid her bill as well. Do you do that? go in for one thing and come out with quite a bit more!!! Anyway, we enjoyed our time at the shop and he had changed things around a bit and opened up two new rooms full of craft material. Lunch and coffee finished our outing just right.
Anyway..... the reason for my post is to share my DT card for the new challenge at Completely Christmas Challenges. This week is our usual ATG but there is a twist of making a square or rectangular card.
Our sponsor this week is Lacy Sunshine Stamps
Here is my card...... I went square!!!

Challenge #7 It's Bingo at Get Creative Challenges
It's Australia Day today, a public holiday here in Oz. Not sure what we are doing today, maybe just staying home and catching up on general things around the house. Our son bought a leg of lamb which he wants to spit roast but he's not using a proper spit - he has the motor and the bit that goes through the joint but not the stand section for the charcoal. He was going to try and rig it up to his small charcoal barbeque. Hopefully he gets it cooked sometime tomorrow, lol.
The grandchildren start back at school tomorrow too and then the different craft groups will start up as well as they follow the school terms. Also choir rehearsals start tomorrow night too. It's been great not having to go out every Tuesday night and getting home at 10:30 p.m. We have a planned concert trip planned to Japan in 2016 so I am hanging in there for that as I joined the choir after they had done a couple of trips to America and the ones that were planned in the last 12 years have both fallen through!!!
Well, I had better get on and tell you about the new challenge starting at Get Creative Challenge Blog today. My blog post title says it all..... yep, a Bingo challenge.
You can pop over to the challenge blog and check out the bingo chart. Lots of variety and I'm sure that there will be something in the chart that will get your creativity flowing.
Our sponsor is the wonderful Rick St. Dennis. There are lots of fabulous images so why not pop over to his shop and check them out.
Here is my card.........
My bingo choices were from line 4 of the chart :
Die Cut, Quote, Black, Twine/String and Monochromatic
Recipe:
SU Black cardstock for the cardbase and mattes
SU Smoky Slate cardstock for the matte and diecut embossed circle
Image is from Rick St. Dennis - Knight
Quote was an anonymous one found on the net
Sentiment is from SU -
Nestie Dies - Standard Circles large and small
Copic Markers used several shades of greys and just a small pop of red to try and stay in the mono-chromatic theme
Twine from stash
Memento Black inkpad
D/S tape roller
Foam Dots
I am entering the following challenges:
Craft Your Passion - Challenge 245 ~ Anything Goes
Dream Valley Challenges - Challenge #98 ~ Anything Goes
Hope to see you this week over at the challenge blog. It's always exciting seeing what everyone creates.
Thanks for stopping by,

Challenge #47 at Completely Christmas Challenges
A lovely day here in Adelaide, warm and windy so out went the washing to be thrown in the machine and hung out to dry. I always have to kick the ball around for the dogs while I'm hanging the clothes on the line, they are very persistant, lol. Well I hope you are looking forward to your weekend and get some time to enjoy some craft or catch up with family and friends. We are out to a bbq with friends later today and tomorrow we are meeting our daughters partner's mum who has come down for the first time since the baby was born to meet her. She is four months old and her other grandma lives in the outback of Sth. Australia.
Well better get on and share my card with you as I still have to pop out to the shops for salad ingredients for tonight and a few groceries as it's a public holiday on Monday and the shops will be closed.
Our sponsor for this week is Sparkle n Sprinkle and the theme is ATG with a twist of making a card for a child.
Here is what I came up with.......
Recipe:
SU Garden Green cardstock for the basecard and circle punched matte
SU Real Red cardstock for the matte
White cardstock from stash for images and sentiment
DP is from Francheville 12x12 paper pad - Christmas Basics
Image from Sparkle n Sprinkle is the little angel called Treetop Angel (I had this one in my files and not sure that it is still available)
Tree was also in my stamp files and I forgot to put where it was from
Sentiment is from a freebie set of stamps.
Punches - two circle punches
Copic Markers
Wink of Stella pen
D/S Tape roller
Foam Dots
Okay have to rush now as not long before the shops shut and I still haven't decided what salad to make.
We would love to see you joining in with us at the challenge blog and who knows, you could be the winner of the fab prize from our sponsor.
Love to see you popping in and letting me and my teamies know what you think of our efforts.
Thanks for stopping by,

A Sweet Valentine
Hello once again, I've taken this card from yesterday's post as the image was from one of the sponsors who is no longer selling digital images and can't supply a prize. I've deleted it from that post and am adding it here instead because 1. I've already made it and 2. some of you have already seen it and will wonder what happened to it if I delete it altogether and 3. I like it......lol.
I've just come back from a morning of craft with my friend Shirley, where we made 4 fabulous cards. Three were Shirley's designs using KraftyHands printed sheets from a couple of different CD's. and the last one was also done with one of the sheets but I made up my own design, making a smaller card instead of the square one. Maybe I will share that one tomorrow.
Anyway, here is this sweet little bear and yep, I've used that paper pleating technique again. I quite like it for an embellishment, so now I know how to do it, I'm sure it will pop up from time to time.
Recipe:
SU Baked Brown Sugar cardstock for the cardbase
SU Night of Navy cardstock for the matte
White cardstock for image from stash
DP from Sugar & Spice Studio 12x12 paper pad - Chantilly
Image is from Crafty Sentiments Designs - Bundle of Hearts
Sentiment is from SU - Good Greetings
Nesties Circle Die for matte behind image.
White linen crochet thread
:Light Brown thread for stitching
Memento Black inkpad
Copic Markers
D/S Tape Roller
Foam Dots
Thanks for stopping by but gotta go hang out the sheets. It's a hot day here in Oz and we are supposed to have some rain later so want to get them dry and back on the bed so I don't have to go looking in the linen cupboard for more sheets and pillowcases!
Take Care,
Hugs,
Sandy

Challenge #106 ~ 2nd Annual Block Party at 613 Avenue Create
Welcome everyone to our 2nd Annual Block Party. We can't believe it's been
2 years already, thank you to all of our "neighbors" old and new for all of your support and friendship!
Well I hope you are all ready for a fabulous new challenge at 613 Avenue Create as we celebrate our second year. We have an interesting challenge called ~ 1001 Techniques. Sound intriguing?
Pop over to the blog and see the list of different techniques etc that you can use in your creations. The idea is to use as many techniques as you can on your project and of course if it's not on the list you can still use whatever technique you would like.
Our sponsors for this challenge are: A Day For Daisies : All Dressed Up : Chubby Mermaid : The Cutting Cafe
I am using an image from A Day For Daisies
Here is my card using: Tent Topper Card, Die Cutting, Pointillism, Copic(Alcohol Markers), Paper Pleating & Paper Piercing. You know me, lol, I'm pretty CAS orientated so it was hard to add more than this!!!
Recipe:
SU Perfect Plum cardstock for basecard and mattes and punched and die cut pieces
White cardstock from stash
DP from First Addition Paper - 12x12 paper pad ~ Desert Blooms
Image from A Day For Daisies - Fairy Wish
Sentiment from SU
Leafy swirl from Marianne Designs
Several Circle Punches and Scalloped Circle Punch
Ribbon from stash
Pearls from stash
Wink of Stella Pen - used on the wings, but you can't really see it in the photo
Copic Markers
Memento black inkpad
D/S Tape Roller
D/S tape for the pleated paper embellishment
Foam Dots
This challenge prompted me to try a couple of new techniques and they are:
Pointillism (colouring using dots of colour with the copic markers) ~ I think it turned out reasonably well and the other was paper pleating which I also enjoyed so hopefully these two techniques will be used again in future creations.
I'm running late with my post this week so I do hope you pop by and leave a comment and we would love to see you joining in with our super fun challenge this time. Lots of wonderful prizes from our fantastic sponsors so get creative and stop by the challenge blog and check out the list and then go crazy, lol.
My fellow teamies and I would love to see you dropping in and leaving a comment or two.
Thanks for stopping by,
Take Care,
Hugs,
Sandy

Thanks for stopping by,
Take Care,
Hugs,
Sandy

A Vintage Santa - Challenge #45 at Completely Christmas
First Christmas card for the year! It's the start of a new challenge at Completely Christmas Challenge Blog and I unfortunately missed the first one for the year but am loving this lovely vintage image supplied by our sponsor Dazzling Ace Designs.
Another scheduled post as we are off to an 80th birthday party today. We have only met the man a couple of times but my hubby is good friends with his son who he worked with interstate. They have the same name, but he has had a brain tumor and hasn't been able to drive his crane. He still lives interstate and his sister thought since he was coming over for his dad's birthday that it would be a great opportunity for the two Adrians to catch up.
Well back to the challenge, we have a twist this week of adding some Christmas Foliage.
Here is my card.......
Punch from SU
Sentiment from SU
Tim Holtz antique inkpad
I am entering my card into the following challenges:
A Gem of A Challenge - Challenge#135 - Something New (mine is the lovely vintage image)
Well, that's it from me as time is getting short and we have about a 1 1/2 hour drive to get to our friend's property. It took us a while to find it last time as it's rural property and wasn't listed in the street directory. Hopefully hubby remembers where to go, lol.
Love to see you pop into the challenge blog and enter this weeks challenge and my teamies and I would also appreciate a visit too.

Harley motorbike card Challenge 41 Crafting from the Heart
Hello, I hope you all had a fabulous New Year and are looking forward to 2015. We've not had a brilliant start here in Sth Australia with major bushfires. Normally I don't know anyone involved in local catastrophes but this time is different. An ex-sister-in-law whose house is still standing but the fire was very close. They have a small farm and the fire was on their road. Her hubby is a firefighter and she and her son and dog had to evacuate the property. Several friends evacuated to other people's homes and two of our children in different suburbs had problems breathing because of the smoke. This not only affected country people, but was close to several Adelaide outer suburbs too. One of our granddaughters is asthmatic and luckily she was okay and the wind changed direction. The fire is still going and lots of our volunteer firefighters are still out there waging war against the fire.
Hopefully the fire will soon be out, I think they have also done some back-burning to stop it spreading.
On a happier note, we had a lovely restful holiday with friends staying with them near the beach and celebrating his 60th birthday. We watched the midnight fireworks display on New Year's Eve and then wishes him a happy birthday for the 1st day of 2015.
Well I had better get on and share my DT card for this new challenge at Crafting from the Heart that starts today.
