Challenge #154 at Aud Sentiments Challenges

Hi all, running a bit late with my post for the challenge, I thought I had scheduled it but nope....just wishful thinking, it was still in the draft stage. I've edited it here to apologise for it being late and to encourage you to stop by Aud Sentiments Challenge Blog and check out all the wonderful DT creations and to enter the challenge.

Here is my card..... I started off with the second card and then decided it wasn't quite right so added a few more elements.

 

 I wanted to share this view of the card so you could see the background I created by swiping my inkpads onto a non stick sheet and then misted with water before passing the card over the top several times. I haven't really tried this so thought I would give it a go to create a summery/beach background.

Happy Birthday Step Card

Good afternoon from an overcast Adelaide. It's Autumn here but the last couple of days have been overcast with a little rain last night. The leaves on the trees are turning wonderful hues of yellow, orange, red and browns still mixed in with the original green. A stunning combination.

So....here is my card using a new die I received for my birthday. You'll be happy to know that no new DP was harmed in the creation of this card, lol

Recipe:
Cardstock ~  basecard and sentiment die cuts is SU from an old pack of mixed card - Brights Collection
White card from stash
DP - all offcuts from my increasing stash of paper
Card was made using Sizzix Die 660024 - a pack that cuts the card and has lots of dies to cut the balloons, strings, words etc.
Image is from Sassy Studio Designs  ~ it's an image I've had for a while so I'm not sure if it's still available

Challenge #37 at Get Creative Challenges

Oops, I knew I should have tried to schedule this one. I had jet lag when I got home Saturday as I hadn't slept for over 24 hours and it's taken me several days to get back into the swing of being home.
