Time for a Present

Another hot day and decided to stay home and veg out!!! I decided to handwash the dress I wore to our daughter's wedding, (I thought about having it dry cleaned but was worried about the piece of bling attached to it) I had managed to get some lemon juice and a bit of oil on the front of it, but I think I got it out and it's now residing happily in the wardrobe.
Looks like we are having a bit of a cool change coming through tonight, the wind has picked up quite a bit and I can hear something banging outside.
As usual, I'm late posting and hubby is already fast asleep, so will get on and share my card as I still have to do a scheduled post for tomorrow morning.

A Bear named Theodore

Hi again, how has your day been?  I went out with a friend to drop her daughter to the airport and then onto a craft store that was having a 40% sale on their Christmas stamps and 20% off in the rest of the store. She runs the shop as part of the family furniture store and also runs classes. I've never been to any of the classes but every now and again she sells off some of the stamps she uses for them, so picked up a couple really cheap and also a few Marianne Dies (new ones) for half price. I didn't buy any of the Christmas stamps as they didn't really appeal that much. Lunch out at a bakery and then back home. It's been several degrees cooler today but it is set to soar again tomorrow.
The little place Mum and I stayed at last April in Tasmania has bush fires raging around it, I hope it  survives. The people that own it live at the top of the hill behind it and are away overseas at present. It wouldn't be very nice if they lost either of their properties. It's school holidays and there are a lot of tourists over there at the moment that are having to be pulled out of areas and rehoused back in Hobart.  Hope they can get it all under control soon as large areas of native bushland are being destroyed as well as some peoples' properties.
Made a bit of time late afternoon to make my card up as we went down to the beach and had a barbeque with some of our children and partners. We decided to make it 7:30 p.m. but it ended up quite cold before we came home. A bit different to last night!!!

Ella from Wild Rose Studio

As the weather man predicted, we have had a real scorcher today. After saying I was going to stick close to home, LOL. I picked up my friend, Fran and we went and met Shirley and Doug for coffee. We then popped up to the craft store, where I spent the last of my Christmas money on a couple of new Nestie Dies.
I dropped Fran home and then ducked up to the local supermarket for some much needed supplies.  I was home about an hour and then hubby turned up. His work had let the workers go home because it was well above their hot weather policy. I left him here and went back over to Fran's and we coloured a few images. I tried to help her with her shading and also resizing digis on the computer.
Back home once more and was thinking about making a zucchini slice for tea and Fran rang up and invited us out for tea at the hotel.  Much better than slaving over a hot oven in 43C heat!!!!
LOL, I did spend some time home today.
I've just wasted about 20 mins or so going through all of my saved digis looking for the image that I used on this card. When I had finished and still not found it I realised it was actually a real stamp and knew immediately which one it was . It's a shame I didn't have that flashbulb moment 20 mins ago, LOL. I have a stack of images awaiting colouring and I really have to try and write down where they come from so I don't have to troll through all the files everytime!

So here it is...........

SU Elegant Eggplant cardstock for the cardbase and mattes

Thanks Big Time!

Hot, hot, hot here. The house was reasonably cool this morning, but by about 1 p.m. the air conditioner went on!!! Stayed home and indoors for most of the day, just a trip out to the letterbox and one to hang out the dogs' beds on the line and I hosed them down as well to keep them cool. Tomorrow is going to be about 43C so I don't think I will be going very far then either.
We went out for tea as usual tonight and our youngest daughter came along and brought a new guy she has met with her so we could meet him. There was a wedding reception at the hotel and they all came out to the main room to order food and pay for it individually so we didn't even attempt to order for about 20 mins or so and we didn't get our food till well after 7p.m. Luckily our church choir has a break over January so I didn't need to be anywhere or I would have had to leave before getting my meal.
I did have some time to make a card, but I sat down and watched a movie on tv which has only just finished a little while ago so am still late putting my post on, LOL.

Here's the card....

Birthday Wishes using Spring Milly

Well, January has started off with a wave of hot weather. Poor hubby went back to work today and had to struggle with high 30's C temperature and tomorrow is going to be in the 40's.
Mum popped in today and gave us some yummy savoury rolls she made. I had some for lunch and then we ate most of the rest with some salad for tea. Thanks, Mum.
I spent some time commenting on some of the blogs I follow, normally don't get much time to do that and then I also did some colouring of images late afternoon.

Relaxing with a Cuppa - Cocoa Carol

Hi again,
New Year's day was a quiet one for me, just pottering around the house, phoned Mum for a chat in the morning and watched a DVD with hubby. He spent some time repairing our pianola rolls as some of them had tears in them or the boxes were starting to fall to bits. I think the pianola needs some work on the tracking device so it plays the right notes, We can usually hold our finger over the little holes and it gets back on track but that's fiddly to do. Maybe later in the year we will get someone out to look at it. We don't play it as often but usually at Christmas the kids like to play around on it and the grandchildren are getting older and will be able to pump the pedals (it's not automatic, LOL, so you get a good workout)
I spent some time colouring an image and making a DT card for next week. Still have to do the inside but that won't take long.
I also made this card tonight in between playing Words with Friends on my phone. In the end I had to send a message to say I had to finish the card or it wouldn't have got done!!!

So here it is........
