Challenge # 72 Floating in Space

Well the weekend is nearly over. We are off tonight to have a barbeque at our son and DIL's house to celebrate two of the grandchildrens' birthdays. One is 3 and the other will be 6 soon. We had a good time at our friends' scrub block on Friday night and Saturday. We got home and I decided that I still had time to catch up with some more friends at our Saturday craft get together. I haven't been able to make it lately, so it was great to see everybody.
This week at 613 Avenue Create we have an Anything Goes Theme with an Optional Twist.

Our optional twist is to incorporate
3 of the following shapes into your design:
heart
arrow
star
octagon
triangle
circle
oval
square
rectangle
Our sponsors are Rick St. Dennis and Jelly Park and I was able to play with this fab image from Rick St. Dennis

Here's my card.......  I incorporated - Stars, Rectangles and Circles

Recipe:

Challenge 106 - A Sentiment for a Child

Yeah, a new challenge has started at Aud Sentiments and this fortnight the theme is "A Sentiment for a Child"
We are being sponsored by The Paper Shelter and there is a fab prize. I chose to play with this fun skateboarding boy called Extreme.
We have another grandchild due in September and our daughter had her scan yesterday and we all got together here last night for a meal and for them to let us all know the sex of the baby. Well..... the baby is a girl. That will mean two grandaughters in 6 months. That will be great for the two mums and also for the two little girl cousins to grow up together.
Well back to the challenge and sharing my DT project.
Here is my card......

Recipe:
Su Pacific Point cardstock for the card base and the die cut
SU Tangerine Tango cardstock for the matte
White  textured cardstock from Quill
DP is a scrap piece also from SU
Image is Extreme from The Paper Shelter
Ticket sentiments - not sure where these come from
Nestie Die -
Karl circle punch
Pearls were white ones from stash (I coloured them with a Copic Marker)
Copic Markers

Now it's your turn to inspire us, we would love to see lots of wonderful entries this week so get out your cardstock, papers, inks, colouring mediums etc, etc and show us your creations!

Challenge# 70 - "Ba Da Bling" with 613 Avenue Create

Oops, a bit late posting today. We've had the 3 grandchildren over the weekend  and when they went home, I decided to do a bit of sorting through a few boxes of craft bits and pieces and try to cull some stuff. Ended up with most of it back in the box. I should be just ruthless and empty the whole box without looking as what I kept probably won't make it onto any of my projects in the near future!!! Are you in the same boat and keep things because you might just need it? I ended up adding to my card and DP scraps - I think I need some time to do a bit of diecutting to use up some of the scraps or maybe stamps some sentiments for later.
Anyhow, I had better get on and share my card for the design team as it is tea time and hubby's stomach is probably growling by now, lol.
The challenge is Anything Goes (as usual) with an Optional Twist. This week we want to see lots of bling.
Our sponsors this week are Beansie Doodles and Delicious Doodles. The image I got to play with, is from Delicious Doodles. Check out the blog and see the rest of the DT's creations.
Here is my card........ I think this would be suitable for a male or female.

Recipe:
SU Real Red cardstock
SU Basic Black cardstock
White card from stash
DP is from
Image is Valentina from Delicious Doodles
Sentiment is from SU
Bling is from stash (I've used a swirl, a corner bling and also placed bling all along the edge of the DP)
Copic Markers
Foam Dots
Circle Punches
Memento Black inkpad

I am entering my card into the following challenges:
Sister Act Card Challenge - Challenge # 55 ~ Anything Goes

Thanks to all of you that entered our last challenge and to the winners, top 3 and honourable mentions. Lots of lovely creations to look at!!! We are all looking forward to what you come up with this week - so get busy and let us see all that bling (if you want to add the twist)
Thanks for stopping by,

Challenge #10 - Completely Christmas with Lacy Sunshine

Hi everyone, it's the weekend once more and I've had an up and down week. I got in on an emergency appointment to the Dentist on Monday morning and had to take our grandson with me as it was one of my babysitting days. Ended up having a tooth pulled after much discussion whether it was actually the right tooth that was causing all my trouble. I've been in pain now for a week with my gum healing. It's still not all closed over and I can't open my mouth fully so it's been fun trying to eat as well, lol. Now I'm wondering if it is the other tooth causing some of the problems too. Just waiting for everything to heal and settle down (hopefully). We had the 3 grandchildren last night, today and tonight again. They were all tucked up and fast asleep as I got stuck into finishing this card late last night. I just have not felt well enough to sit and do much crafting at home this week.
This card is showcasing a Lacy Sunshine image for the start of another challenge at Completely Christmas Challenge Blog. You can make a card, a layout or a decoration, as long as it is Christmas themed. If you've been making cards and playing along with us, you should now have 10 cards for your stash at least, lol.

Recipe:
SU Kiwi Kiss cardstock for the cardbase
Purple cardstock from stash
White cardstock from stash
DP is from Forever Friends Kraft Notes
Image is Winter Lizabeth from Lacy Sunshine
Sentiment is from SU More Merry Messages
Nestie Dies - Classic Ovals - Large
                  - Scalloped Ovals - Large
La La Land Heart Banner Die (thanks to Shirley for lending me the die to cut some for future use)
Copic Markers
D/S tape roller
Foam Dots

I am entering my card into the following challenges:
Alphabet Challenge Blog - "F" for Feathers
CHNC - May Challenge Extra - Anything Goes Christmas
Crafty Hazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge - May

Well I had better push off as I'm writing this up in the early hours of today so I don't forget later. With the grandies here that could be quite possible!!!
The Design Team would love to see your Christmas creations so pop over to the challenge blog and link up and one of us will pop in to see you!
Hugs,
Sandy
