Hi, sorry I'm a bit late with my post today, I've been babysitting our 10 1/2 month old granddaughter since yesterday until late this afternoon and haven't had the chance to get on the computer. I hope you have had a lovely weekend break and maybe got some crafting in too.
Our new challenge starting today at 613 Avenue Create is ATG with an optional twist ~ to create
something for a friend, neighbor, bank teller, teacher, mailman, etc.
A random act of kindness to make someone's day.
Our sponsors are Faery Ink Designs, Fitztown, Oddball Art Stamp Co. and Di's Digi Stamps
I got to choose this wonderful image from Oddball Art Stamp Co and had fun colouring it up. I picked it because the little character has the same name as a friend and she is the one I have made this for.
Here is my project, a little gift card holder........ I've made a diecut card to fit in the middle pocket with a promise of a little surprise for my friend. When the sun is out tomorrow I hope to get some pics of the inside to share.
Recipe:
SU Concord Crush
White card from stash
DP from 12x12 paper pad from Grace Taylor (I think have lost the cover)
Image is from Oddball Art Stamp Co - Frazzled Fran needs her Coffee
Nestie Die - Deckled Rectangles ~ Large
SU Oval Punch, Leaf punch from Martha Stewart
Copic Markers
Flowers from Little Birdie
Ribbon from stash
D/S Tape Roller
Foam Dots
We do hope that you will pop in to the neighborhood and drop off an entry for this challenge and if you make something with the twist you will be giving someone a lovely surprise.
My teamies and I would love to hear what you think of our makes this week so please pop in and leave a comment.
Thanks for taking the time to stop by,
Take Care,
Hugs,
Sandy

Vintage girl on bike Challenge 50 at Completely Christmas Challenges
Hubby, myself and our youngest daughter and granddaughter went down yesterday to Victor Harbour to stay with friends overnight and then we went to a charity auction this morning. It was forecast for 41C but it was very overcast and we didn't get the full effect of the sun until about 11a.m. and then we roasted!!!
I didn't buy anything as I was outbid on a tallboy set of drawers. Our daughter bought a small old folding table and a large print that she just wanted for the frame. She intends to use them for her wedding props (eventually) We stayed down there for lunch and then headed back home around 3:30p.m as we are babysitting another granddaughter overnight. So this is my first chance to sit down and do my post. I've got a headache from the heat which I'm hoping will settle down soon.
Anyway I had better get on with this post and share my card for Completely Christmas Challenges. Its ATG but we have a twist of ......Children and toys. Our sponsor this week is Dazzling Ace Designs - The Home of All Things Vintage and I chose this delightful picture to use on my card.
Recipe:
SU Crumbcake cardstock
White cardstock from stash for the image
Tiddly Inks Free stamp set for the holly and teddy
Kaisercraft Stamps - Yuletide for the sentiment
Image is from Dazzling Ace Designs
Corner Rounder
SU Choc Chip inkpad
Pearls from stash
Copic Markers
Wink of Stella clear pen
D/S tape roller
Foam dots
Might be back later with some challenges to enter.
We would love to see your creations over at the challenge blog this week and also on the DT blogs.
So come join in the fun and get those Christmas cards done too.
Thanks for stopping by,

Vintage card for todays class
Hi everyone, I thought I usually talk about my Wednesday class that I teach at a community centre but very rarely share what I make so I've taken a quick pic tonight of one of the cards we made. Hope you like it - the picture could be better, but you can see the image and layout clear enough.
Here it is........
Recipe: All the layers were distressed and also ink distressed
Burgundy card from stash
White card from stash
DP from Couture Creations - 12x12 paper pad ~ Vintage Rose Garden
Image was a freebie I found on the net. I added a small postal stamp in the right hand corner. That was from SU - a wooden set I've had quite a while and not used, lol.
Perfume bottle image is a Kaisercraft clear stamp
Lace from stash
Copic Markers
I made the rolled flowers by hand (no die) with scraps of the burgundy card
Pearl beads (flower centres) from stash
Lace from stash ( I added some ink over this to age it a bit)
Leaves - were in my stash but not sure whether I die cut them or used a punch
Memento Black inkpad
Tim Holtz antique distressed inkpad
D/S Tape Roller
Foam Dots
I am entering my card into the following challenges:
Addicted to Stamps and More - Challenge #131 ~ Anything Goes
Crafty Gals Corner - Challenge #6 ~ Anything Goes

Challenge #49 at Completely Christmas Challenges
A busy day today - I had a baby shower to go to in the afternoon and then just dropped back home to grab a cardigan (just in case, lol) and then went to a Greek Festival with my daughter and granddaughter. It's been 39 C today and is still pretty warm so the cardigan stayed in the car!!! We met up with her Greek hubby and my husband and ate greek style lamb for dinner and listened to Greek Music. They've just dropped me off and I've rushed in here to the computer to post my DT card for the new challenge starting today at Completely Christmas Challenges. It's ATG with a twist of using only one snowflake.

Bouquets Galore - Challenge 45 at Crafting From The Heart
Welcome to my blog, I hope you have had a wonderful day. Mine was busy looking after two of our grandies, One from our eldest son and the other from our youngest daughter. We also had another granddaughter for a short time while our oldest daughter popped out to the post office. She dropped in and left her two dogs here and took one of ours home and gave her a haircut. Missie definitely looks different with short hair instead of her scruffy look! Our son-in-law picked up a set of pet clippers second hand so our daughter is happily clipping away. She says she might be back tomorrow to get our other dog for a haircut too.
We had a late meal tonight, pork roast! When we went for our family dinner last night, we were supposed to have this roast, but our son took it out of the freezer too late and it was still partially frozen. So..... "Mummm... can you cook it and we'll come over for tea" So that's what I did and there were 6 of us here for the meal. We've just finished the dishes and I thought I had better come in and post my card for Crafting from the Heart Challenges which has a new challenge starting today.
Our sponsor is the fabulous Rick St. Dennis

Hi all, I've just got home from a family bbq at our son and dil's house. There are 17 of us when we all get together and that is just our kids, their respective husbands/wives and the 5 grandies. I got to do all the roast vegies, lol. Hubby also ended up popping home to bring back my last Christmas pudding to share as well. We ended up bringing our grandson home with us too as he is here tomorrow anyway and it saves his mum a bit of time in the morning on her way to work. She will only have the two girls to get ready for school tomorrow morning. I forgot to write up my post before I went out. I have been crafting today getting ahead with a couple of DT cards and taking photos to upload to the DT blogs but completely forgot to do this.
