Playing with Pencils - the finished product

Hi again, I found a bit of time to finish off this Magnolia image that I started last Tuesday in the Intro to Prismacolours session I went to at the local craft shop. I had only done the hair and skin last week. I only have a basic kit so had to use one purple to do the dress by adding more colour to get the depth.
I've used her on another Christmas card. I really need to get the ones I've done all together so I can see how many I need and then start writing in them and getting them into the post!!!
For this card I used a Nestie die to cut the tree on the card, using only half of the shape. I then cut another full tree to go over the top, first adding some DP to the card. I decorated with some gold border stickers and then popped the image on with foam dots. Finished off with a sentiment from SU and punched it out with the large oval, backed it with the scalloped oval. A piece of DP on the inside and a white tree diecut as well.

Here's the card......

Recipe: Green Card from stash (2 different shades - lighter one for the tree diecut)
Magnolia stamped image (stamped in class)
Border stickers - gold
Sentiment - SU
Punches - scallop oval and large oval
Nestie tree die
SU Real Red inkpad

I am entering this into the following challenges:
Whoopsi Daisy Challenge - Christmas
Ladybug Crafts - Challenge 4 ~ Christmas and/or Winter

Thanks for stopping by,
Take Care,
Sandy

  6. Sandy, you have done a fantastic job with coloring her up! In all fairness, one color is all you need, especially when you use the technique of adding more layers to deepen the color. I sometimes wonder when new copics come out, "how many shades of green could there possibly be????" LOL. Gorgeous card and sounds like you've got a good game plan going for Christmas. OHHH if I could be as organized as YOU!
    hugs to you,
    Lisa xx
