Out on the Town

Hi everyone, hope you have all had a reasonable sort of day. My daughter and I went out to visit my Mum, had lunch together and Rachel cleaned her oven. She offered ages ago to do it but didn't get around to doing it but she had a good go at it today and it looks a lot better. (Hope it worked okay, Mum)
We came back here and did some cleaning here as well! She and I are gradually going through each room and sorting them out. I'm a bit of hoarder sometimes and also if I don't so something straight away I tend to forget about it. Anyway it's been a good time of sorting through things and getting rid of items that I don't really need! Still got lots to do but I'm getting there. Will probably go back through things again when the rooms are done and decide if there are more bits and pieces that I can let go of. You know you can only have so many knick knacks and dusting is not one of my favourite chores!
Well, amongst all that cleaning, I did leave her to the dusting!, and I sat down and made this card which I am going to enter into the Less Is More Challenge.
The theme is Circles, so here it is:
I've scanned the card with a darker paper behind it. The base card is called Kula Cream. I then used a punch and made a template to sponge two overlapping circles in
SU Orchid Opulence and Handsome Hunter. I stamped this vintage couple in black onto white card, coloured it slightly with the Orchid Opulence and copics for the skin tone,I cut it out with the same size circle punch and sponged with River Rock and did the same with the sentiment using a smaller circle. I then added some round pale green bling(more circles, LOL) to finish it off. I've counted the bling in as part of the circles which gives me 7 circles keeping to the rule of odd numbers!
Well, thanks for popping in today and thanks for the lovely comments I've received on the previous post. Much appreciated,
Take care,
Sandy

  3. I have to say if it was a choice between card making and cleaning I know which one would win!
It sounds as though you had some well deserved fun making this charming card... super image too.
I always think that scanning saps cards of some of their vitality... any chance you could do photos instead?
    Just a thought!
    Thanks so much

  8. Super card, although I think the addition of one more small circle, or one less is more pleasing. [The odd number scenario!]
I never think scanning enhances our cards, sure this is much better in real life
    Thank you
