It's been a busy time for me the last couple of months preparing for our son's "surprise wedding" at his planned engagement party and I've had the flu for the last 2 weeks on top of all the preparations so I hope to be excused for being late with my blog post. The wedding was yesterday and was a very full day but wonderful!!!
Anyway onto the new challenge in the neighbourhood at 613 Avenue Create.
This week it is Anything Goes with a Colour Twist and I was able to play with this fab image by Rick St. Dennis called Privateer (pirate) Woman. I had great fun colouring it
Here is what I did with it..... ( I finished this at 3 am last night after the wedding reception)
I'm afraid I didn't get time to do the inside yet so hope to finish it tomorrow and edit the post.
The dress is actually coloured with pale to mid orange tones but looks a bit red here!!!
Recipe:
Caramel coloured card from stash for the top fold card
DP is from My Mind's Eye paper stack
Blue and White cardstocks are both from stash
Image is Privateer Woman from Rick St. Dennis
Sentiment is from Close to My Heart
Black Memento inkpad
DS tape roller
Pearls from stash
I am entering the following challenges:
(back later with some)
Not quite sure I got the blue/green tone right but maybe you have something that will match in with these fab earth tones when you create your card, Looking forward to seeing all the wonderful entries this week.
Thanks for stopping by,
Hugs,
Sandy
