Hello again, I forgot to tell you my hubby and son started painting the bedroom too yesterday afternoon so the house reeks of paint. They got one coat on everything and then another coat done in shifts today. One middle son did around all the edges of walls and ceiling with a paintbrush whilst the youngest, (who is the tallest, LOL) used the roller and painted from the bottom to as far as he could reach. They both left and when hubby came home he had to get up on the ladder and paint the rest of the wall and also the ceiling. We have an old house which is 13 feet from floor to ceiling, so it is a big job. So we had a very late evening meal.
Hope you are enjoying your day, it has been lovely weather here today, I went and picked up my Mum and we went to one of the big hardware stores so I could get a new door bell as mine has finally died! We had lunch there in a little cafe and Mum bought some Petunias and I got some Mint and a new pot which I use to keep my clothes pegs in. It's very handy as it sits in an old wooden stool which the cushion has been taken off and the pot sits in it very nicely and I don't have to bend to get pegs. We also went to the butcher and got a few things too. I came back home and did 3 loads of washing. My son hasn't had time to wash for 2 weeks! He told me I didn't have to do it, but I already had one load in, so was just as easy to keep going.
My card for today is made using one of my favourite techniques, paper embroidery. I've used a white basecard. I stitched onto a yellow (almost mustard colour) textured card with a variegated thread. The image I used I found on a sheet of gift wrap and cut it out and adhered to the middle of my topper. I cut an extra dress out and added for some extra depth.
I would like to enter this into Make It Monday #63 - Anything Goes
Well off to bed, thanks so much for popping in - I appreciate your comments too.
Take Care,
Sandy
