Hi everyone, another warm day today, my friend Fran and I went to Shirley's this morning and made 3 cards and enjoyed each others company. I was supposed to get cards for another friend, but forgot to bring them back with me. Fran and I stopped at a little cafe and had some lunch and then she dropped me back home. I had a few dishes to wash and boy that was hot work. After 2 days of heat, the house is starting to warm up and slaving over a hot sink of water makes me really hot! Our eldest daughter popped in around tea time to pick her dog up so we are back to just 2 dogs again, should be a bit more quieter around here. We were just about to have some tuna patties that I was still cooking so offered her some too. Still some left for Adrian to have cold for lunch tomorrow.
A friend's daughter has had a little baby girl, not sure of her name but she was quite a large baby and Emily is such a tiny little thing. Apparently they let her continue in labour for quite a while before giving her an emergency caesarian. The baby was well over 9lb. So... I need to make a baby card and also a card for my friend and her hubby. Their first grandchild!
Here is the card I made.
I've used a really bright pink as the basecard and a DP from a pad of papers from one of the cheap shops. I drew the shape of a cloud, cut it out, and inked around the edges. The baby is a Magnolia image and I coloured her with Copic Markers and popped her on the cloud with foam dots.
I used some white card and a Martha Stewart punch for the little heart strip and the sentiment is from SU Petite Pairs and punched with a small wide oval.
Now I just have to get the babies name so I can do the inside of the card and their addy to post if off.
I would like to enter this into Make It Monday #62 - Anything Goes
Thanks for stopping by and all the lovely comments too!
Take Care,
Sandy
