Hi again,
After a quick coffee with friends this morning, I came back home and spent the rest of the day with our two youngest grandchildren. When little Isaac went to sleep, Layla decided she wanted to make a card, I wish I had taken a scan of it before she went home as it turned out quite nice. She is only four, but did a good job on colouring an image of a surfer and helping to make a surfboard background. She is quite keen on making cards and usually has a bit of a go when I have the time to help her. She really likes turning the handle on the Cuttlebug and making diecuts and embossing.
I played around with making my DT card for Make It Monday and just have to get a decent picture of it.
My card for today has some paper embroidery on as the main feature. This is one of my other crafting passions although I don't do it as often as I would like.

Me and My Ducky
Another cold day, looking forward to a bit more sunshine!!!. The days seem to be getting slightly longer and the daylight lasts just that little bit extra as well.
I started today off with another visit to the dentist. I still had some pain going on from my visit a month ago and the dentist decided that I was biting down too hard on one tooth and causing ligament pain. Well, it wasn't really my fault as he hadn't got the tooth level right when he did the filling. So now I can actually eat on both sides of my mouth as he filled the other tooth that he was doing root canal work on. Still have a few extra visits to go to finish that one off, another small filling and then another visit for a clean up and polish.
At least I didn't have to have any anaesthetic and didn't have that numb feeling for half the day.
Went off to craft in the afternoon, just 3 of us today. I managed to colour a couple of images.
An evening out with friends for a meal and then back home to relax with a bit of television before starting on my card,
Hope your day was a good one, whether you had to work or had the day to yourself.

Little Mouse with Flower Umbrella
It was an overcast day today but quite warm in the car and now tonight it's been raining and is quite windy outside. I could hear a tarpaulin moving out there covering several of the motorbikes which are out of the shed because he painted the shed floor. I had to go outside and check on them because I was a bit worried that someone might have been trying to steal them. They are still there, but the tarp has been blown off and is making quite a bit of noise as the wind has really picked up.
Well, I had now better get a move on and share my card because as usual it is pretty late.
Here it is:

Felt Christmas Tree Card
I've just come back from choir practise and decided I am too tired to make a card, so am going to share one that I made a little while ago. I had made one of these about a year ago at a workshop but we used stamped images. This one I made here at home using a similar layout but I've used this lovely felt tree, I love the tiny little buttons on it .
I went out with Fran this morning over to Shirley's house for our usual Tuesday morning cardmaking session. We all enjoyed each other's company and made 3 lovely cards, Thanks Shirley!!!
Fran and I stopped off for some lunch and then popped out to Spotlight looking for some more foam dots. They have not had any in stock for quite a while and we keep telling them we won't buy the thicker ones that they do have. The woman told us that she has ordered them but they have not come in yet.
We also dashed over to another shop looking for some plastic folders that they had out cheap with rub-ons from last Christmas. I have been using them to store my nestie dies and also some of the clear stamps. I now have quite a few sheets of rub-ons that I don't really use - I'll have to find something to do with them!!!
Well onto my card,
Sorry - my scanner does an auto scan which means I don't have to crop, but sometimes if I don't get it 100% straight it cuts off some of the card. It really is even all the way around, LOL.
Too tired to do another scan, I've tried 2 times now.
Recipe:
Gold Metallic Cardbase
Paper was Kaszass I think
Ribbon from stash
Safety Pins from my sewing box!
Well, I'm heading off to bed now, thanks so much for stopping by and I do hope you find something here that will give you ideas to expand on for your self.
Take Care,
Sandy

A Christmas Bear - MIM #104
Yeah!!! it's Monday and that means the start of a new linky party over at Make It Monday. What fab entries from last week.
Congrats to Katherine for being the featured artist this week and also to Sandra for being the winning commenter.
We are being sponsored by Cupcake, Cards & Crafts this week and you can see below what they are offering our winner. I popped over to the site and had a look at the lovely downloadable papers etc and decided to use one of their images.
Here is my card using one of the sponsors digital images from a cardmaking kit called Beary Merry Christmas and you can find it here
The digital images are pre-coloured so all I had to do was print it off and put it through my bug with a die.

One Stitch at a Time - Challenge #128 ~ Use a digi

Mandy is generously offering our winner a digi paper collection of their choice.
Wow, how awesome is that?
My POTW is this wonderful card from Holly over at Glitter, Stamps and Ink (Oh My)
I love the soft, subtle colours, the diecuts and that super cute image!!! It still gives the impression of a CAS card too even though it has several different layers and elements on it.
Please stop by all the DT blogs to see if you've been featured as their POTW. I usually post on your blog if I have featured you but sometimes not sure if the comment is read.
Thanks for stopping by

Card with punched flowers
The weekend is finished here in Sth Oz and I'm feeling bushed!!! I haven't made any cards today so I am going to share one I made a while ago using punches.
The pink rose was made with a 6 petal punch and then you gradually make each layer smaller by cutting some petals out and then overlapping the end petals and adhering with glue. You then glue it all together after you have shaped the petals with an embossing tool. The other flowers are just a punched flower with minimal shaping. Pearls to finish off the centres and a few strips of green paper for the flourishes and for the leaves. The oval is drawn on with a gold pen and then fancy corner stickers are placed at the corners of the embossed rectangle. This is a bit hard to see in the pic. The card has deckled edges.
I haven't decorated the inside as yet.
Here it is - sorry the pic is not very good, I tried scanning it, but the flower is too big to sit flat enough. It just made the whole card look out of shape!!!
Recipe:
Pre-embossed deckled edge cardbase- it is quite a large card compared to the ones I normally make
Pearlised apricot paper
Pearlised pale blue paper
5 petal punch
6 petal punch
Pearls from stash
Decorative corners from stash
Peel off sentiment from stash
Gold Pen
Embossing tool
Foam mat for shaping petals
Well, I did manage to go to quite a few blogs and catch up with some commenting today but now I'm off to bed.
Thanks for stopping by and for all the fab comments too.

Sweet
Hi again, how's your weekend going so far. Mine has been quiet so far. I managed a sleep in this morning for a little while and then spent the rest of the day here at home pottering around. Talked to Mum on the phone, rang my daughter and tried to keep warm. We are running a bit low on wood again, so put off starting the fire till mid afternoon when I just couldn't stand my legs freezing any more!!!
Adrian hasn't had the time yet to get the kitchen light fixed so another night of cooking in the semi-dark with just a lamp and the stove top light, which is not too bright.
Well as usual I am up late making my card so I will just get on and share it...
I've used the sketch again from yesterday and the correct image to go into the challenge at Meljen's Designs, so here it is.

A boy's best friend
Another cold and wet day. Yesterday was absolutely terrible, some poor person had there car crushed in a shopping centre carpark and another few cars next to it took a bit of damage when a large gum tree came crashing down in the wind. Luckily the people were all in the shops and not in their cars.
Our youngest son has been working as part of a service crew for a rally car for the last few days and I think over the coming weekend as well. Today there was a crash and one of the driver's was killed. His co-driver/navigator was airlifted to hospital but seems to be okay. He is one of my son's friends and is so lucky to have escaped serious injury. I feel such sadness for the other lad's family. I'm not sure how old he was or whether he was married and had his own family.
There just seems to be a lot of bad things going on at the moment.
On a lighter note, I looked after our lovely grandchildren today and also upgraded my mobile phone as my contract had run out. A touch screen phone (not an I-phone though) now I just need to work out how to use it, LOL.
I sat down tonight to make a card and found a challenge with a sketch and you had to use one of their images, so.... I worked away and when I had finished, I realised that I had used a Bugaboo image instead!!!
Oh well, I may have another go over the weekend and use the right image this time.
This is what I made .....

Roses and Memories
Wow, it's just been bucketing down here and have just put a bucket under the airconditioner vent as there is a small steady stream coming from it!!!
Fran and I headed out this morning as I was after some shoes, we ended up going to two shops before I found the shoes that I had been looking for and luckily for me they were my size as they were the only ones in the shop. We checked out a couple of the cheap shops nearby and grabbed some lunch and then she dropped me home. The mail had been and I had missed a registered letter so had to go up to the post office. I had to wait until after 4 p.m. to make sure it had been taken back to there. I got back home about 5 minutes before hubby came home. We went out to tea at the hotel, on our own this time as our friends had a meeting to go to. When we got back home, our neighbour met us in the driveway. Someone had broken into his house. Smashed a hole through his glass door out the back. It is that really thick glass. They'd discovered they still couldn't get in as there were bolts top and bottom but they managed to lever the bottom and then yank the door right off the bolts. They stole his wife's jewellery and also two lap tops and I'm not sure what else. They also left things, an I-pad, e-reader and an expensive camera. So they couldn't have been in the house too long. It has been very windy all day, so there have been noises on and off from things banging around. I hadn't noticed any suspicious noises, so they might have broken in while we were out at tea. I'd really only been home a couple of hours in the afternoon.
Adrian drove our son into town and then stopped to get some fuel and saw two police officers on pushbikes and spoke to them. They told him there had been several home robberies in our area tonight and they were looking around for the people. It sounds very organised. I hope they get them.
Anyway, after all that excitement I still managed to sit down and make a card and here it is.

Off to Sea
Hi to anyone visiting today. Not much sunshine around still and now they've forecast more rain!!! No use complaining as we always need the rainfall so our water supply is okay for Summer. South Australia is the driest state in Australia.
I had craft this morning and as I have only one other lady on the table, we just did our own thing. I took images to colour and a few toys for Isaac to play with. He had another nap while we were there. A quiet afternoon here at home after giving him some lunch as he had another couple of hours sleep and woke up to day hello to his uncle when he popped in.
I had the evening to myself as our youngest son is on a service team for a rally car, so he was off at that and hubby went with him. I think our other two sons ended up going as well.
So here I am at the tail end of the day, chatting to you and hope you are interested in seeing my card for today.
It's a Rocker Card.
SU
I haven't put anything other than the image and a sentiment on the card. It is for friend's of ours whose eldest son and DIL have just had a baby boy. I don't have any grandparents stamps and didn't want to muck around on the computer so have just put congratulations on it and backed the circle with another one so I could write a greeting on the back.

Doggy Reindeer
It's been a long day! I attended Fran's Mum's funeral today. They had a private burial before the memorial service at the Funeral Home Chapel. It was a lovely Christian service, Fran wrote the Eulogy, but didn't feel up to reading it so the Minister read it. He had known her Mum personally so added a few little bits of his own as he read. That was nice.
They had a cup of tea/coffee and some sandwiches and cake there afterwards and then family and some close friends went back to there home and had more food and reminisced some more too. It was great that the family had lots of support on the day.
I stayed till about 3.30 p.m. and then ducked out to try and buy some new shoes. I didn't have any luck as I was trying to buy something similar to what I've worn for the last couple of years. They had the shoes but only one pair and 1 size too small.
I came home and found that the kitchen light was on the blink. I made tea using just the light over the stove!!! It was just barely enough but I didn't burn anything, LOL.
I had choir rehearsal tonight and the leader of the band that will be playing with us came along to see how we were progressing with the pieces we are learning and I suppose to get some idea of how our conductor was preparing them.
Our youngest son is still not home, he is helping someone get a car ready to drive in a rally - they have to have it all ready and then checked and put in lock-up? Not quite sure what all that means, LOL.
Well I had better get on and share my card,
This is what I came up with.

Tom's Birthday card
An early start to the day getting up at 6 a.m. to get ready to go to Victor Harbour. Adrian, our daughter, Rachel and I hopped into the truck and got going about 7 a.m. On the way we had some rain which wasn't good as the auction we were going to is held outside and they have been known to cancel it. Once on our way, the only means of finding out if it is cancelled is if our friends who are staying at their beach house ring us on the mobile. They didn't call, but when we got there they had spread it out differently as the grass was saturated and it had begun to rain, so a lot of the furniture got wet. Rachel was looking for a dining table and chairs and there was a really nice one there, she went to $120 but decided not to keep bidding so another woman bought it for $125. She didn't want to pay more than $100 so it was just as well and hopefully there will be another one in the next auction. It is all donated goods so they made a good amount of money on the table for charity.
We stopped and had lunch with our friends and then headed back mid afternoon as both Rachel and Adrian had plans for tea. I had tea at home, but my friend Fran and I went to the cinema to watch a film called "The Sapphires" it's about an aboriginal singing group (female) who went to Vietnam to entertain the troops. It was an interesting film, we both enjoyed it.
It is still very cold here, I think this has been one of the coldest weeks for a while now.
My card for today is the one I made Thursday for Tom and haven't shared yet. I know it's a female nurse, but Tom is studying at present to become a nurse and this was the only nurse image I had, He appreciated the humour of it, LOL.
Here it is:
Front of card - the hair hasn't scanned quite right - it looks like orange here, but it was a medium blonde colour.
Laid out flat - As these panel just hold the card up when open, I didn't put any embellishments on them.
On the back of the card I put some more DP and then a white topnote diecut to write on.
Recipe:
Blue cardstock from stash for base card,
Blue and white DP from a 6x6 pad from Merci
Image from Bugaboo
Sentiment from Bugaboo
Copics for colouring,
Nestie die - Wonky rectangles and Top Note die
I am entering this into the following challenges:
The Poodles Parlour - Diecuts
I hope your weekend is going well, I'm heading for my bed, my feet are freezing!!!

A Cup of Thanks
Well, it's Friday night, still freezing cold and lots of rain too. I didn't do much today, Fran and I and my two youngest grandchildren caught up with Doug and Shirley for a coffee at North Park. We both had a SU order that didn't arrive on Tuesday so we were expecting it to have arrived and were going to pick it up today. Well the orders are running behind schedule. I suppose because there is a new catalogue coming out soon and they are discontinuing products, people are ordering more things and this is causing a backlog!
Oh well, it can wait, I think it was only card and or an inkpad.
I dropped Fran off and then came back here, got the fire started and decided to attack another of the boxes piled up in the lounge room. I threw a lot of old papers away and reduced two boxes to one. Still have to go through it again as only did a rough sort.
The rest of the day was spent with feeding Isaac and getting him off to sleep without his dummy as there wasn't one in his bag and he didn't have it attached to his top when he came this morning and then I fed Layla and myself, LOL. She is a real snacker, so every now and then she would pipe up that she was hungry, the last time I offered her a banana and she decided against that. She was really interested in some fruit lollies in the snack drawer, which she had already had a packet of earlier. When she realised she wasn't getting any more, she wasn't hungry any more!!!
Papa came home as I was feeding Isaac so I let him take over and spend some time with him before Mum came to pick the kids up.
Our youngest daughter came over for a while and then has come back to spend the night with us and we are getting up early in the morning to travel to Victor Harbour for the Lion's Charity Auction. She is hoping to pick up a table and chairs.
Well, I had better hurry and share my card and get some sleep since I have to be up at the crack of dawn!!!

Cute Pup
Hi everyone,
Another very cold day and rain, rain, rain!!!
It's been bucketing down since about 2.30 p.m. starting when I was at Jane's house for craft. Only 3 of us today and Jane had to go to for a blood test, so we packed up early. I hope she didn't get too wet as she had to go into town and would have been hard to find a park close to where she had to go.
We had our usual meal out tonight but instead of just 4 of us, there were 16. Our youngest daughter's boyfriend's birthday yesterday and we all got together to help him celebrate. I gave my apology for choir practice which was just as well because they only had one girl taking the orders and there were several big groups in ordering at the same time. We arrived for a 6 p.m. booking and had to wait a while for everyone to get there and choose what they wanted before getting in line. We stood in line for at least 15 mins before getting served and finally started getting our meals about 30 mins or more later. So, we didn't start to eat until after 7 p.m. It was a good night, even though it took longer than usual to get our orders.
I've spent the rest of the night doing some commenting and finishing off this card. I did make a card for the birthday boy but have taken pics with the camera and haven't uploaded yet, so I will share that another day.
Here's my card: I haven't decorated the inside yet.
Recipe:
Sand coloured card from stash
White textured card
Image was a freebie stitch pattern I found on the net years ago
Sentiment is from a Kaisercraft set of clear stamps
I used SU Pacific Point ink but because it is textured cardstock, it didn't stamp 100% so I went over it with a blue Jelly Roll Pen - gives it a sparkly look
The pup was coloured with watercolour pencils and I used a lovely textured thread to embroider him with.
Also used blue silky thread and gold and red metallic thread to stitch with.
Thanks for stopping by and for those who commented while they were here. Thankyou, I enjoyed reading your comments.

Sandy

Kite Flying
Oh, it's been freezing tonight, and the rain has been coming down.
I picked little Isaac up this morning and he came to craft with me. He had a good time playing with a few toys while he was sitting in the pram and then he nodded off for the last hour.
After coming back home and having some lunch I put him in our bed and lay down with him and had about 15 min rest as he took a little while to go back to sleep. He then slept the rest of the afternoon and I sorted out a little bit more of my craft stuff.
Our youngest daughter called in for about 10 mins to drop off some flowers for my friend Fran and pinch my scarf for the evening. It's her boyfriend's birthday and they were heading out for a meal. They called in later to return my scarf and in the end, she took the flowers back and dropped them in to Fran herself. I wasn't sure if I would see her tomorrow as I know she had to meet with her family and someone from the Funeral Service.
Here is the card I made tonight.
Recipe:
Brown Card Stock from stash
Striped DP from My Mind's Eye
Pink and white dotted DP from stash
Digi image from Dearie Dolls
Sentiment from Annabelle Stamps
Nestie Die - Deckled edge oval
Assorted circle punches
Brad from stash
Flower made using scalloped circles
Copic Markers

Happy, Happy, Happy, Happy Birthday
Hi everyone,
It turned out to be a reasonable day today. I went off to craft this morning and had a good time at Shirley's house. I came home after stopping for some lunch and got stuck into some washing (never ending here!)
and also decided to sort out a box of crafty bits and pieces. Also moved some folders around in the craft room to make room on the shelves for some of the things from the box. Threw out some old papers and found a couple of things I had forgotten I had. Found a couple of stitching templates I've never used so must give them a go soon.
Hubby and I went out tonight for a meal using a couple of the half price vouchers that have been in the paper lately. It was a hotel we hadn't been to before. I enjoyed my chicken dish and hubby had steak that he said was okay - We ate and ran though as I had choir rehearsal and in the end was 15 mins late. I walked in during the voice exercises. Adrian decided to drive me there and then go visit my Mum. He came back at 9.45 p.m. for me and also a friend that I drop home afterwards.
I've made a card tonight with no stamping on and also using this little panel of DP that I made up quite a while ago using some scrap paper. I've added a little teddy embellishment topper and made some paper roses with a leaf diecut.
The sentiment is a clear sticker mounted onto some pink card and then again onto some Chocolate Chip card.

Gotta go let the dogs out for the last time before I go off to bed.

Broken Dolly - Make It Monday #102
Make It Monday time again! Last week was another big week of entries and I enjoyed popping in to some of your blogs and checking out your beautiful creations. We're looking forward to seeing more lovely cards and projects this week
We are being sponsored this week by Digi Doodle Shop. Great images so take the time to pop over to their shop and check out the wonderful images.
I was lucky enough to get to play with this fab image of a grandpa and his grand-daughter. I chose to try out a new card design (for me anyway) it is a variation of an easel card with some extra little pieces which gives it the look of a step card. It was fun to make.
The image is called Broken Dolly and can be found over at the Digi Doodle Shop
A close up of this fab image!!!

Fly Away
Today after church we had a luncheon, it was a surprise birthday party for the minister who just turned 50. It was finger food and chocolate birthday cake. With all that has been happening around here I forgot to make something but they announced that there was plenty of food to share so anybody that wanted to stay could. They were also cleaning out the library and I managed to pick up some books to read - just made a donation into the fund for buying new books.
I popped out with Fran for about 1/2 hour just to pick up some craft magazines. We were originally going to do it Monday, but she needs to start ringing around to notify people about her Mum's death and stop pensions etc.
I made a casserole for tea, I put it on late so we didn't eat until about 8 p.m. Our youngest son is getting involved in rally car driving and he and some mates are doing up a car with a roll cage etc. He and another mate are going to be driving and navigating, so they have to have special fire resistant suits, glove, sock, shoes, face mask and helmets. They got dressed up in their gear so hubby could take some photos of them for the Celica Club that they belong to.
Well, I had better hurry up and share my card for today as I still have to write up my MIM DT post for tomorrow and go through the entries from this week to choose my POTW.
So.... here it is:
It's a telescopic card,
This is the closed view

Sympathy in Blue
Hi, how is your weekend going. We headed off down south to Victor Harbour to go to our friend's son's 21st. We arrived about 12 noon and found that it was a themed party - Western. My hubby had not told me, so we hadn't dressed up at all. The party was not starting until 2.30 onwards as a lot of Owen's friends work in the hotel industry down there and had to come in between shifts. We did eat a little something earlier as Vaughan threw a bit of meat onto the barbeque for us to keep us going until everyone arrived. I helped Marianna out a bit making salads. We had an enjoyable time catching up with our friends and Owen liked his card.
My friend Fran messaged me about 4 p.m. to let me know her Mum had passed away, so I rang her back and had a chat with her to make sure she was okay. I had rung her earlier in the morning to see how her Mum was and to let her know we were not going to be around for the day.
We left Victor about 6.15 p.m.- stopped for petrol and then headed off back home. About 10 mins later I checked my bag to look at my phone and realised I didn't have it. I had left it on the little side table when I had rung Fran, so we had to turn around and go back for it as I don't know when I would have been able to get it back as the house there is their holiday house and they live in the country on a farm. LOL, not just down the road.
My tooth is bothering me again, the one that he did root canal work on that cost me $600 so I'm not impressed, so I dosed myself with panadol and closed my eyes on the way home. I don't think I actually dropped off to sleep but I did feel marginally better when we got home about 8 p.m. I rang Fran when we got home and asked if she wanted me to come over, she said yes, so Adrian and I both went over and talked with them about her Mum and came back home again around 10 p.m.
So, it's been a pretty full on day with a sad end, Fran is coping okay at the moment, but when everyone goes home, that's when it will hit her that her Mum has really gone.
I sat down after we arrived home and made this card to give her.

21st card for Owen
It is again very cold tonight after an overcast day. I picked Fran up this morning and we had coffee with Shirley and Doug and my two youngest grandchildren.
Fran's Mum is still hanging on, but having morphine injections. I dropped Fran home after our quick coffee and she went down to be with her Mum. I rang her later in the day and she said her Mum was aware that she was there at one stage but had drifted back off again.
The rest of my day was taken up with looking after Layla and Isaac. Our son, Laurie, came home just as I was about to give Isaac his tea and decided he was going to feed him!!! It was interesting to watch, LOL.
Jason (their Dad) came here after work as he and Laurie were going off on some car thing together, Papa rocked up too and then Lisel came to get the kids, so it was a full house for about an hour.
We are going off to Owen's birthday barbeque tomorrow and it takes at least 1 1/2 hours to get there so not quite sure what time we are leaving in the morning, but I had better get off to bed because as usual it is late.
Here's my card for today and it is for Owen's birthday.
Front of card - I've used a coloured piece of paper behind the card to define the edges of the cream cardbase.
Inside of card - Still have the coloured paper behind the cream cardbase!!!
I made a little pocket to hold a piece that can be used for writing a greeting on and also to slip some money into for the birthday boy. The little star is there so you can pull the card out.
Recipe:
Cream Textured bi-fold card from stash ( these cards have been in my stash for about 10 years!!!)
Brown cardstock from stash
DP from Hot Off the Press - Paper Pizazz Sheets ~ Mixing Textured Papers. ( These also have been in the stash a very long time)
Image is from a freebie set of stamps - I think this is one of the better sets I have that came with a magazine.
The two sentiments are from 2 sets of SU stamps, - Oval one is from Perfect Punches and the celebrate is from Outlined Occasions. The star was handcut and the number 21 was cut with an alphabet die.
Nestie Classic Circle Dies - small and large
Wide Oval Punch
I am entering this into the following challenges:
Polka Doodles - Challenge 32 - Celebrations
Poodles Parlour - Let's see those Die Cuts
Thanks so much for stopping by today and for all the lovely comments.
Take care,
Sandy.

Girl Sitting on a Cloud
Hi everyone,
I'm feeling a bit down today. A close friend of mine has her Mum in a Nursing Home and she is quite ill and not expected to live much longer. It was a bit of a shock for her coming in to see her this morning and finding her unresponsive. She has been going downhill over the last few weeks, losing weight and not eating or drinking much at all. So Fran, you are in my thoughts and prayers and know that I am there if you need me.
I went to craft this afternoon and then found this out, so mostly just sat around and chatted, not feeling 100% myself, I couldn't get any interest up in colouring any images and as Jane had a new magazine I hadn't seen and I had just picked one up too, I read those and then shared them around for a couple of others to look at too.
We did go out for our regular Thursday night at the hotel with Joyce and Doug. Fran and her family came over for a meal a little bit later as the nursing home is only a couple of minutes down the road from the hotel. They were going back straight after their meal and she has just rung me a little while ago to let me know her Mum is still hanging in there and she was going to go home to try and get some rest. It was also Fran and Kim's wedding anniversary today, so not much celebrating.
Our eldest daughter had her birthday today too. She is still working away at present so I had to send her a message on Facebook and hope she got it. Her mobile has no coverage where she is, it's fairly isolated - a tourist village in the Flinder's Ranges. I think a few of her friends were going for a short holiday there and chose to go now so they could celebrate her birthday.
I have made a card to share, so here it is.
I'm on a roll with the sketches the last few posts and this is also made using one.

Girl Holding a Letter
I'm tired tonight, but had a good day. I picked up little Isaac this morning and he came to craft with me and was a perfect child the whole morning. He played with a couple of little soft toys for about an hour and then drifted off to sleep and didn't wake up until I put him in the car to go home.
My DIL had given me some frozen food for his tea and I put it in the church fridge while I was at craft and drove home without it. I remembered when I was a couple of houses away from our driveway and had to turn around and go back. I knew there would still be a couple of ladies there because they were staying on for a bible study and they would be able to let me in to get the container. Luckily it only takes about 10 mins to get there when the traffic is good so that was good. He had his lunch, a bit of a play while I had my lunch and then another couple of hours sleep while I made chocolate cheesecake slice for our son's 27th birthday.
All the family were there and also his in-laws and BIL (except Katie, who is still away working and Lisel and the grandchildren as they were all in different locations and Lise would have had to pick them all up and then drive back here . She picked Isaac up just after 6 p.m. and then had to drive home - so that would be 1 1/2 hours(both ways) driving time plus the time to pick up the girls from 2 different places, . Too hard and too late!!!) - We had all pooled some money and bought him a large floor standing toolbox with lots of drawers and the top can be used as a work space as well. He was quite impressed!!!
We all ate pizza and besides the dessert I made, our DIL had made him a luscious carrot cake too.
After arriving back home it was pretty well straight into deciding what to make tonight.
I've used another sketch challenge for this one.
