We actually had another day of sunshine and a little less wind than yesterday. I picked up my friend Fran and then drove out to Shirley's for our Tuesday craft session. Thanks Shirley for another 3 lovely cards and for all the fun too!!!
We stopped on the way home for lunch and I dropped Fran home as she had a funeral service to go to and I took advantage of the sun and did another couple of loads of the dreaded washing. It is lovely to see all of my towels back in the bathroom at the same time. Using the drying rack, I could only put about 3 large towels on it at a time and they took ages to dry so it's been quite a struggle keeping a few towels clean at a time, especially with 3 of us here showering.
I was supposed to go to choir practice tonight, but our son asked us over for tea and we don't go there often, so we said yes and I sent my apology along via another friend who goes as well.
After coming back from Ryan and Katie's house, I got stuck into doing today's card and here it is.
Front of card
Inside of card
Recipe:
SU Cajun Craze cardstock for basecard, it has a top fold
DP is from My Mind's Eye ( I've had this pad about 1 year now)
DP - textured dark brown from stash - not sure where from I've also had this one a while now, LOL.
Image is from a free set of stamps with magazine purchase
Sentiment is also from a free set of stamps - different magazine though
Stars are cut using an Alphabet Die Set
SU Early Espresso inkpad
I distressed the topper (both pieces) on the front and also sponged it with ink
The inside piece was also subjected to distress as well, LOL
The little stars got a bit of ink distressing as well
The image and sentiment panels were popped up with foam dots
I am entering this into the following challenges:
2 Sisters Challenge - Anything Goes with Optional bonus sketch - I have used the sketch for my card.
Clear it Out Challenge - Theme ~ One for the boys ~ Stash item - 2 or more patterned papers from stash.
Come and Get it Challenges - Adult Birthday card
Challenge up your Life - Challenge #75 ~ Everything Goes
Well that's it from me again for another day.
Thanks for popping in to see what I've been up to, hope you have managed some crafting time today,
Take Care,
Sandy
