I thought Spring had Sprung, but we had another windy and wet day. The sun tried it's hardest at times to shine through and there was a bit of warmth, but the wood fire went back on tonight - not roaring away but just enough to be comfortable.
I had another fun day with Shirley at craft this morning and made 3 really lovely cards. Shirley and Doug are eagerly awaiting the arrival of their daughter Michelle (from the fab Make It Monday Blog Fame!!) and her family who are on their way for a visit from Queensland.
My hubby came home from working interstate, this time for good as when he went back a couple of weeks ago he couldn't find any work, so has sold up his truck and motorbike that he had there and hopped on the plane and hopefully he will be able to find a job back here. Just his luck, the airline he travelled with had strikes in all the capital cities so his plane was delayed about an hour, some flights were cancelled so it was just as well we chose a later flight instead of the first one of the day as I think that would have been a cancelled one.
My card for today is a basecard of SU Early Espresso, DSP from My Mind's Eye, I've sponged the edges of a heart shaped doily with "Close To Cocoa" SU ink and my image is from another fab e-bay find with no maker's name as it came as a loose cling mounted rubber stamp. I've coloured her with Copics and added a piece of sheer brown ribbon which came in my prize from sponsor Kelly of the Unstampabelles Challenge I won last month, Thanks for the goodies Kelly they arrived today and I put the ribbon to work straight away! I stamped "adorable" in Basic Grey in the Right Hand corner to finish my card off,
I am going to enter this into Make It Monday Challenge #55.
and also into Card Cupids challenge #37 which is Anything goes
Thanks so much for stopping by today - hope you have found some time to be crafty today,
Take care,
Sandy
