Mixed Media Butterfly card

Hi to all who are popping in. It's time for another challenge at 613 Avenue Create. An Anything Goes challenge that has an optional twist. This month's twist is to add wings. I decided to give my card a touch of mixed media which I've only attempted once or twice. I had some home made gesso which I used on a stencil and then gave it a bit of colour with some ink.                                                                                     Here is my creation.....

Recipe:  SU  Cinnamon Cider, White cardstock from stash, D/P from stash, Stamps from stash (they are freebies from magazine purchases)

Copic Markers and several inks from SU.

Homemade texture paste. 

Stencil for flowers and I made the cloudy background.

Dinosaur Birthday Greetings

Time for another challenge at Get Creative Challenges. This month our theme is Black, White and 1 other colour. Our sponsor is Drawn by Krista and I chose this cute little birthday Dinosaur which I will save for my Dinosaur crazy grandson's 5th birthday next year.

Here is my card, using Green as my extra colour.

Christmas is coming

 Hi everyone, here I am with my latest DT card for 613 Avenue Create challenges. An Anything Goes challenge blog that has an optional twist. I'm playing the twist with my card and this month the twist is - Use a charm.  I decide to use up some of the many diecuts that I've purchased over the years that just sit in a crate in my craft room. So....no stamping and lots of die cuts and I added a lovely little Christmas tree charm with a bit of twisted string (keeps it in place a bit better) Added a few pearls and I'm happy with how it turned out.

Here it is......

Recipe: SU Natural Ivory cardstock, Christmas Vineyard embossing folder, Kaisercraft Christmas diecuts, Christmas tree charm from stash (an ebay purchase from years ago) and Kaisercraft pearls. Copic Markers to colour the present diecut which was from a black and white set of Christmas diecuts.

Black, White and One other colour

 Hi again, here today with my DT card for Simply Create Too Challenge blog. Our theme is Black, White and one other colour. Here is what I made for this challenge.... A simple card using just card, paper, dies and sentiment stamp.

Enjoy Today

Hi everyone, haven't posted for a few weeks, still creating but not getting much done on the computer lately. I'm here to share my DT card for the new challenge at 613 Avenue Create Challenge blog.
If your new to the challenge blog, we are an Anything Goes challenge with an Optional Twist.
This month, our optional twist is to use Washi Tape on your creation.
Here is what I came up with.... unfortunately the photo colouring is not quite correct, the washi tape should be a softer hue and the card should be more white. The more I played with it the worse it got, lol so left it as it was to start with!

Blended Backgrounds

Hi everyone, it's time for the new challenge at 613 Avenue Create Challenge Blog. It's an Anything Goes challenge with the Optional Twist of "Blended Background"
I've chosen the blended background option for my card today.

Though She be But Little

Oops, did it again, I thought I had scheduled my DT post but I haven't and forgot to check it earlier.
So.... here is my card for the new challenge at Get Creative Challenges.(i'm dating it from the start of the challenge) It's a monthly challenge so you still of plenty of time to create something to enter. Our sponsor for this challenge is Charlie's Stamps and the theme is " Make It Sparkly".
Here is my creation using Fox and Butterfly The Sparkly part of the challenge is the pretty sparkly DP I've used on the front panel, I think it shows up reasonably in the photo.

DT Get Creative Challenges Blog

She said "Yes"

Hi everyone, I've been missing in action for a little while still dealing with my Mum's passing and all that is associated with that. Problems with the will legality so can't do anything about the house/estate until it is all settled.
Anyway.... hope you are all coping with what is going on in the world and are healthy and safe. Life is not going to be the same for quite a while.
On a happier note, it's time for a new challenge at 613 Avenue Create Challenge Blog and I'm glad to be back and creating again. The theme is optional with an optional twist of Diamonds and Lace.
I've created a card that could be used for an engagement or a wedding card and have used the dress as my lace. Tried to add real lace and couldn't find any in my stash that was suitable.

Something New - A new year at Get Creative Challenges

Hi, once again. Apologies for such a late post, but as previously mentioned, I've been busy organising Mum's funeral and sorting out things at her unit. We finally found her will after going through all the rooms except the kitchen and that is where we found it!
The funeral was Friday and now I've realised I didn't put my post into schedule mode so am here to sort it out.
Our first challenge for the year is to make a card for Something New. All sorts of subjects come to mind and I chose a card for a New House.

Something Shiny

Hi everyone, Happy New Year. It's been a sad start for me with the loss of my Mother in the last days of  December and her funeral will be at the end of the week. So much to organize before then.
