School Dayz challenge

 Well I've been unwell with a weird rash on my foot that has caused concern as it kept getting higher up my leg. Numerous doctors visits with medication and then get sent to the hospital and from there to a preferred clinic because there was a 7 hour wait and because it wasn't considered urgent it meant that I would probably keep getting bumped back to accomodate more urgent cases. Anyway to cut a long story short, still don't know what it was and am sort of on the mend!

So...... a late post for 613 Avenue Create Challenge blog. Hope you have popped over and joined in the challenge. We are an Anything Goes challenge with an Optional twist which this month is "School Dayz". I've gone with the optional twist and here is my card......

 Yay, another challenge has started at Get Creative Challenge Blog. An anything Goes themed challenge with an Optional Twist. This time around, the twist is to "Show Water". Our Sponsors for the challenge are Oddball Art, Pattie's Creations and Sweet'nSassy.

Watercoloured Sunflowers

 Hi everyone, a new challenge has started at 613 Avenue Create and this month our Optional twist is : Watercolour.

I've chosen to use the twist for my card and here it is.....

Recipe: SU Early Espresso cardstock and White cardstock from stash, Sunflower stamp from freebie stamp set - The Cafe Riviera and Sentiment is from a freebie set also, The Music and Dance Collection. Tiny gold bling, Watercolour pens (used on a clear stamp block with a waterbrush) D/S tape roller. The inside has a piece of white cardstock with the sunflower stamped partially on the right hand bottom corner and left uncoloured.

Well that's me, am heading off for a very short holiday with my daughter, son-in-law and two granddaughters. The weather is not great but so far it has not rained. Heading towards the coast but not sure whether we will get a walk  along the beach. Depends if the rain stays away for at least part of our trip.

Lady in Yellow

 It's been cold and wet lately, but the sun is shining so there are spots of warmth outside out of the wind. It's time for the latest challenge at 613 Avenue Create. An Anything Goes challenge blog with an Optional Twist. I've opted to create my card using the optional twist which is to Use Paper Piecing on your creation. Love this - just need to choose something that isn't too fiddly to achieve, lol.

Here is my card........

Recipe: SU Basic Black and Hello Honey cardstock and White cardstock from stash, Kanban stamps (added a little shoe on the inside as well). Sentiment from SU. DP from stash, a pretty yellow with a subtle white floral on it - it's actually a bit brighter than it shows here in the photo. Also the yellow cardstock is a bit too bright in the photo, has more of a mellow, warmer hue. I used stitched rectangle dies from Paper Rose and 3 different SU circle punches

My husband and I are going on a club motorcycle ride today (as long as it's not pouring down with rain) so just a quick reminder to go check out the challenge blog and to let you know we love seeing all the wonderful entries. So get your mojo into gear and come and join in the challenge.

Heart shaped Easel card

 Hello, greetings from Adelaide...hope all is well in your part of the world. Things are difficult at times with Covid restrictions. We are lucky here in Sth. Australia. Very few cases and most of those are coming from returning residents from overseas, so we are relatively free to move around but still some restrictions on numbers and we have to make sure we sign in to shops and venues so they can use contact tracing if necessary. 

I'd better get on and talk about the new challenge that is starting at Simply Create Too this month. The theme is "Anything but Square or Rectangle" I've chosen to make a heart shaped Easel card. I started off making a black card base and then added red die cuts on top, except for one the top of the card base, so you can see the black when the card is open.

Here is my creation......

Recipe: SU black, red cardstock, White cardstock from stash, DP from stash, Stamps are from freebie set The Feathered Friends and a set by Artworks that I picked up years ago from a cheap shop. I've used SU circle and scalloped circle punches, Copic Markers, Memento Tuxedo black inkpad, pink pearls. double sided tape roller and foam dots.

Beep, Beep... I'm Little But Loud!

Robots are universal.....not only do the kids like them but quite a few grown ups like to play with them as well, lol. In fact, there are many sophisticated and complex versions available on the market.  My card today for the new challenge at Get Creative challenges features a cute robot. There is no twist for this challenge, just an Anything Goes theme. Our sponsors are - All Dressed Up,  Colour of Love and Goha Stamps.

Recipe: SU Black cardstock for base, white card from stash for mattes and diecuts, black card and gray card for the cogs. Image is called: Clunk, Clunk. Sentiments from stash ( forgot to check before posting who they belonged to) Cogs are a mixture of dies I cut a while back. Paper is from Kaisercraft paper pad. Copic Markers, Double sided tape, and foam dots

Happy Birthday Elephant

Floral card -613 Avenue Create Challenge

 Hi everyone as we go into Autumn here in Australia, 613 Avenue Create Challenges is starting their new challenge. An Anything Goes Challenge with an Optional theme of - In the Garden. I've choses to do a floral background in black on white cardstock with a panel cut from the same stamped image and coloured to act as a focus point on top.

Stitched Unicorn card

 Wow, I'm finding the year going fast once again. April is upon us and it's Easter already. So a new challenge starts today at Simply Create Too Challenge Blog. The Theme is - Stitching - Real or Faux.

I've chosen to go with real as I enjoy paper embroidery and haven't done any for quite a while. Here is what I created.....

All materials from stash including the stitching pattern and the lovely metallic threads that I've purchased over the years. One of the reasons I should do more stitching as I have a lot of spools of thread that need using up, lol.

Here is my creation using Rose Label from QKR Stampede.

Recipe: White card from Stash, SU Sweet Sugarplum cardstock. DP from stash Image is from QKR Stampede and is called Rose Label. Sentiment from Penny Black - Sprinkles and Smiles stamp set. Dies are from Paper Rose - Stitched Rectangles. Coloured with Copic Markers. I've used double sided tape roller to adhere all the layers.

 Yay, it's challenge time at 613 Avenue Create. An Anything Goes challenge blog with an Optional twist. This month's twist is to Make A Slider Card. I've chosen not to do the twist this month, so here is what I came up with.

Recipe:  White cardstock from stash.  Pink and Blue cardstock both from SU, Paper from stash, Images of birds and flowers from SU stamp set - Free as a Bird. Dies are from Stampin Up, Fancy That (doily flower 3) and Uniquely Creative (sentiment label). Coloured with Copic Markers. Other supplies - double sided tape roller and foam dots

It's A Boy - Hearts and Shoes

 Hi everyone time for our latest challenge at 613 Avenue Create. We are an Anything Goes challenge with an Optional Twist. This month's twist is to use hearts or shoes in your design. I chose to use both in the baby card I created.

Here's what I created.....

Recipe: SU Blueberry Bushel cardstock, White cardstock from stash, DP from stash, small stiched heart dies from Paper Rose, Heart balloon dies from SU, Large heart die from stash, Rounded corner rectangle die from stash. Stamps were from SU (shoes - a retired set that I've got no name for)  and Kaisercraft set: Little One - sentiments (one on the inside too)

Dreams are for Chasing

Happy New Year to you all. Hoping and praying that this year is going to be better than the last. Hope yours is off to a happier start.

It's time for our first challenge for 2021 at 613 Avenue Create. The challenge is an Anything Goes with an Optional Twist. This time there is no twist.

Here is what I came up with. The design of the card is one I cased from pinterest so I am unsure of whose layout it was.

 Recipe: SU Night of Navy cardstock, white cardstock from stash, DP from stash (single sheets)               Stamps -Dog and sentiments and sentiment die are from Uniquely Creative - Aussie Geo and Dreams are   for Chasing. Tree die from stash (my craft room is in major disruption at the moment with different storage going in)

Well that's it from me, have to get the food on for tea. Baked Potatoes, quick and easy, lol and then off to listen to a live radio broadcast in the park. It's starting to cool down so may have to take something warm to wear.
