Hello everyone, a busy day today. Started off the morning at my friend Shirley's house and made 3 lovely cards with her and Fran. We then came back home dropped our craft things off and as it was Fran's birthday today, we had lunch with her hubby and her Mum, who we picked up from the nursing home for the outing. We dropped her hubby back home and then her Mum back to the Nursing Home and then headed down to the craft store so Fran could spend some of her birthday money on some craft goodies. A cup of coffee to revive us and then home again. I finished off those pesky dishes from last night and then made a Shepherd's Pie with some mince. I even did all the dishes that I used preparing it so I wouldn't have them to do tonight. Adrian was home a bit later than usual, so it was all ready by the time he had got comfy. I stayed home from choir tonight too, so caught up on a bit of television before having a play with a new nestie pack. A couple of birdhouses and two birds. I've cut a couple and will try and make something with them in the next couple of days.
Well onto my card!
This is the one I gave to Fran today for her birthday.
The basecard is SU Early Espresso and then a layer of zig-zag DP which doesn't show very well here.
I made 3 flowers from brown card, added some pearls and then punched some leaves from the choc chip and pale tan card. I stamped the main image with Early Espresso ink onto a pale tan cardstock and matted it with some Choc Chip card. The sentiment was also done the same way.
Both stamps came from Docrafts Papermania ~ Urban stamps - the image from Botanical Print set and the sentiment from the set called Type Print. This was a set that Shirley gave me last month for my birthday.
On the inside I used the pale tan card and printed another image from the Botanical Print set in the right hand corner. I really like this stamp and it goes well with the flower on the front too. Sorry that the pic is not that clear, I can't rescan as Fran has possession of the card already, LOL.
The card is not quite what I wanted to achieve but I made it in a hurry this morning in between breakfast and the shower. Fran picked me up at 9 a.m. so had to be ready to go!!!
I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
