Hi again, nice to have "seen" those of you who called in today and many thanks for the wonderful comments left for me too.
I overslept this morning so chose not to go to craft this morning. I stayed home and did a few bits and pieces around the house. The tooth is gradually getting better, not much of an ache at all today but still sensitive on both sides of my mouth for chewing so still avoiding hard foods. I had soup for lunch and then made a pasta dish for our evening meal. It's always a favourite meal around here.
My card for today was made with a maroon cardstock (from stash) for the base. I cut a layer of DP from a mini stack by Prima called "Songbird Collection". I stamped a large rose from a set called "These Days" by Kaisercraft using SU Basic Brown onto the lower left hand corner. I distressed the edges and also ink distressed with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo ink. I used a nestie diecut and also distressed with ink. I cut a square of SU Very Vanilla and distressed the edges and then ink distressed as well. I used a floral stamp from a set called "Charlotte's Dream" also from Kaisercraft and stamped using a second stamping technique. The sentiment is from SU set "Petite Pairs". I made a tag using a strip of the Very Vanilla and stamped the image with Basic Brown. The image is also from "Charlotte's Dream" . I ink distressed the edges of the piece before matting onto a strip of the maroon cardstock. I rounded the top corners and used my cropadile to put an eyelet in the tag and added a piece of lace that was white originally but I sponged it with the Distress ink to give it a more aged look. I haven't done the inside yet, still thinking about it, LOL.
I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
