Hi again and welcome to my small piece of blogland!
A busy day today, popped over to the shops with a friend and bought a few groceries. We then went into town to pick up a couple of products from an Art shop that I had ordered. It's called Zest It and is supposed to help blend coloured pencils. Will have to have a play with it. I also had to go see our youngest daughter as she asked if we could put some money into buying her some new glasses. She will be coming off our private health fund after this next birthday and wont be able to get anything off her glasses next time unless she signs up for her own health cover. Our eldest daughter was there too, as she had taken a day off work. We all went to the shops together and looked at some dresses possibly for the bridesmaids. Also bought some new trainers so I can get out and do a bit of walking. After visiting a couple of secondhand shops, I dropped them back home and headed back here. I stopped at the supermarket on the way and bought some chicken to make butter chicken for tea. It was very nice.
My card today was made using the following:
Basecard is SU Choc Chip cardstock. I then embossed a piece of SU Very Vanilla and ink distressed the edges with SU Close to Cocoa. I used my new nestie again to cut this gorgeous oval in Choc Chip. I then added a deckled oval in Very Vanilla and stamped the wildflowers from SU Asian Artistry. I added the butterflies which are just a small section of another stamp from another SU set called Up in the Air. The sentiments both on the front and on the inside are from yet another SU set called Love & Sympathy.
I used a large oval to cut the sentiment and then ink distressed it. I used foam dots on the large oval as well as the sentiment.
The inside has a piece of the Very Vanilla (distressed) again I used partial bits of the two stamps to make my image in the right hand corner. I stamped the image onto a scrap piece of the Very Vanilla and then cut out with the Deckled Oval die and cut a larger oval using the Choc Chip.
I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Crafty Cardmakers - Challenge 69 ~ Distress it.
