I overslept this morning and my friend woke me up when she came to pick me up for craft with Shirley today. I just threw myself together, LOL, and we weren't very late. We had a good time together making the kits up that Shirley creates for us and then we stopped on the way home for lunch. We joined Doug and Shirley for a meal and coffee before coming home.
I babysat our youngest grandchild while my DIL and granddaughter went to a doctor's appointment at the hospital. He is a bit stubborn about sleeping during the day but was very tired and took me over an hour to settle him. Peace reigned in the end with him tucked up in the spare bed.
Our daughter and her boyfriend came for tea tonight and I made pasta, something soft for me to eat, LOL. Tom went off to work and Rachel stayed to spend some time with her Dad, do some homework and watch some television.
Not much to chatter about today so will move on to sharing my card.
I've made a gate card tonight. I used SU Chocolate Chip cardstock for the base and then cut two panels of SU More Mustard and two panels of this cute robot paper from a mini stack from Craft Works. I found it in a cheap shop over in Tasmania last week. I cut a white panel and stamped a background with a clear stamp from a set called "Botz Quotz" from Stampendous. I inked the edges with Basic Brown and adhered it to a piece of the More Mustard. The sentiment was inked with SU Pumpkin Pie and cut out with a decorative label punch and sponged with the Basic Brown.. I adhered it on an angle on one side of the card only. The little robot is a digi from Birdie Brown (I think!) and was coloured with Copics and trimmed. I decorated the inside with a piece of More Mustard and a small rectangle of the DP backed with a scrap of the Choc Chip card. The sentiment was stamped onto white card with the Pumpkin Pie ink and cut out. It's from SU set "Friendly Phrases"
