See With the Heart - Vintage Card.

Hello again, it's been a fine day today so the washing has been piling up and getting short on towels etc so after having a power outage for an hour this morning, (just after I logged onto my blog too!!!) I managed to get 3 loads done before racing to the shops for some goodies for afternoon tea at craft and some lunch too.
There were only 3 of us today and I spent some of the time eating and talking and then did a bit of colouring and giving opinions about Jane's cards when she wanted it, LOL.
I called in to the newsagent's on the way home as Jane had told me about a new magazine out that came with a couple of discs with digital images, ideas and tips and lots of other bits and pieces. So I went over and bought it and also found another mag with some free stamps which I thought were quite cute. So they will be getting an inking soon so watch out for them.
Tea out tonight with friends as usual for Thursday night. Another couple decided to join us as well. I dropped hubby home and then went off to church choir practise. Home again afterwards and picked Adrian up and then went for coffee at Fran and Kim's house. Adrian has now gone off to bed and I'm here on the computer doing my blog post!
It was Jane's birthday this week so my card for today is the one I made for her.
I used SU Certainly Celery for the basecard and then a layer of purple textured card from DCWV. The next layer is a DP from My Mind's Eye. I then cut two strips of a DP from a mini stack called "Linen Closet" also from DCWV and adhered them to strips of the Certainly Celery. I cut a nestie shape using SU Very Vanilla and stamped the image which is from SU set "See with the Heart" - ink was SU Basic Brown.  I sponged this also with the Basic Brown ink. and layered this over the top of the strips. I  cut around the nestie shape to get a matte in the purple card for the back of my image. To finish the front off I made 3 little roses and added with a few leaf sprays as well
The sentiment on the inside is also from the same set and stamped onto Very Vanilla - sponged and backed with the purple cardstock. I layered a piece of the purple card, the DP from My Mind's Eye and then the sentiment topper.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
