Hi everyone, hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day today. I went off to church, taking my jelly cakes with me. I got up at 6.30 a.m. to whip cream and split the cakes and fill them. I got part way to church and there was a walk for cancer going on in town and they had blocked the roads off, so I had to detour several times. I ended up going a long way out of the way so instead of a 10 min trip, it took nearly 30 mins and was then running a bit late. Luckily I found a park quite close to church and was just in time for the practise.
After church, our youngest daughter called in and we drove over to say a quick hello to my Mum (her Grandma) and LOL, we had McDonald's for lunch. Not a very classy Mother's Day Luncheon, but there were a few other families there too. We dropped Mum back home and came back here so Rachel could go home - she was working a split shift at the nursing home.
The rest of our children came for tea and we ordered pizza and I made self saucing choc pudding as requested. Our youngest son introduced us to his new girlfriend as well. She seems nice.
After everyone left I sat down and thought about what to make today. The mojo wasn't firing very well!!!
Here is what I've used.
SU Tangerine Tango card for the base, a layer of SU Garden Green and then a piece of DP from My Mind's Eye. I had already stamped and coloured this image which is from Gorjuss. I think it originally sat on a clothes line but I decided to use it without that. I stamped 2 images of a banner with a clear stamp from a freebie set and cut them out and coloured with Copic Markers and then adhered it to the card and sat the little girl on top. I cut one of the flowers from a scrap of the DP and paper pieced it onto the card for a 3D effect. The sentiment was stamped in SU Cherry Cobbler and is from the freebie set as well.
On the inside I used a layer of Garden Green and then a white nestie diecut and added one of the flowers from the DP as well.
I would like to enter this into the following challenges:.
Do You Stack Up Challenge - #71 ~ Use a flower
The Poodles Parlour - Anything Goes Challenge
Well that's it from me again for today,
Will catch you tomorrow.
Take Care,
Sandy
