Hi all, wow, we've had still more rain overnight and again during the day. I think it is still raining on and off at the moment. I'm not as cold tonight as I put extra layers on today and I decided to drag my craft bits and pieces out to finish this card in the family room - where the fire is, LOL.
I've finally finished the card I started about 3 weeks ago for our daughter's engagement. It is now late!!! I found this lovely paper embroidery pattern in a Hobbyjournaal Magazine and thought it would be just right. They also had the alphabet, so I added their initials to the heart pattern to personalise it for them. I used a variegated green for the swirls and leaves and red for the top of the heart and metallic gold for the intials. I finished the stitching this morning at craft and put the card together tonight. Thought it would look nice as an easel card, so that is what I did. I made some more flowers, this time from some scraps of red card and added some white pearl beads to the centres. The sentiment is from SU set A Word for You and was inked in SU Early Espresso onto a wide oval and then I used red card and a decorative punch. I added the oval to this and popped it up with foam dots so it would hold the front in place when open. I added some small flat pearls to it as well. I finished the front of with a few pearls as well. Not sure where the DP is from but I've had it in my stash for several years (at least 5!!! - must use some more of my stash instead of buying more, says she who bought 2 more packs today, LOL.)
I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
